I feel like I could write a ten page review about how much I'm hating Dylan right now! Blue Shoes Volume 1 ends with the huge cliffhanger that Dylan is cheating on Jess. It could possibly be a publicity stunt, or some other rational explanation, but he's not sharing that with Jess, so it's cheating in my book. Not sure if his character can be redeemed enough to satisfy me. I can come up with scenarios where his actions would be acceptable, or at least forgivable, but the fact that Jess is not being told what's going on, and is going through this heartbreak isn't. Now I'm wishing that Jess would just fall in love with Chet while in Rome. He seems like a nice enough guy. Ugh! AND the wait for Volume 2 is going to seem like FOREVER!!!! I'm having my own love/hate relationship with Ms. Knight and her Grand Canyon sized cliffhangers at the moment. I swear that woman is going to end up owing me a new iPad one day when I get so worked up over not knowing what's next that I throw it at the wall across the room. lol. Though my frustration knows no bounds at the moment, I do have to give JJ credit for inspiring such strong emotions in her readers. Her writing is powerful, creative, and entertaining as hell. Ms. Knight is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. To get through the interminable wait for Blue Shoes Volume 2, I'm going to go and reread her previous novels Revenge 1-5 (also featuring Dylan and Jess) and Uncaged Love 1-5. I would absolutely recommend anything written by JJ Knight!

This is my first glimpse in to J.J. Knight. I didn't read the previous series....about Revenge. So I didn't have a pre-existing love for Dylan and Jess.... And I seem to be in the minority over this...."love" story.

What I will say, I don't think I could live the celebrity life, if it entailed dealing with the likes of Dylan Wolf. The author created a very unlikable character, who blamed his busy schedule for his lack of keeping his word. That in turn created a heroine who was insecure and doubted his feelings all the time. This was sad to read. Maybe that was the author's intention. It didn't give me warm and fuzzy's for either character. I just wanted Jess to get away from Dylan.

I gave it 2 stars because I am curious how much worse it can get, so the author has intrigued me, in some way. On to volume 2!

JJ KNIGHT DOES IT AGAIN!!!
I can't tell you how excited I was to find out that JJ was writing a follow up to the Revenge Series, & she did not disappoint me. I loved finding out how things are going between the two main characters Jess & Dylan. There is romance, drama, intrigue, suspense, & of course the steamy scenes w/our favorite couple. And man, is she good w/the cliffhangers. I can't wait to see where she takes Jess & Dylan next. If you haven't already read the Revenge Series, you really should grab the books in the series & get started. Then follow them up w/The Blue Shoes Series. You won't be disappointed.

I received an advanced review copy from the author for a honest review.

Wow....the mystery starts again!!!

This book has me asking so many questions!! At first I was thinking she is always over reacting. But then crazy things do happen to her!!

I had forgotten how Dylan acts though. Wish he was more considerate when it comes to her. He seems clueless and all about him. It will be interesting to see how that really plays out.

Now Chet I'm interested in....Will he end up still back good guy or not??? Time will tel

This is the first book in the Blue Shoes series and the first book I have read by J.J. Knight and I was not disappointed. Jess is working hard to be a successful music exec at Morris Music and Dylan is climbing as a successful the Rock star. Six weeks to their secret wedding and Jess has to go to Rome on business. Jess's insecurities start to rise. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. I recommend this read.

Interesting start

I must admit that I didn't enjoy this book at first as this isn't the first of the story and I felt like I started in the middle of a movie it felt incomplete start with the first of these books with Revenge I will probably go back and start from the beginning even though I now know the end of Jess and Dylan's story!

When I read the Revenge Serial by JJ Knight I was blown away. Each installment ended with a new cliffhanger that had the readers on the edge of their seats. Jesse and Dylan went through an emotional rollercoaster caused by many outside players that had agendas that could ruin both of them one way or another. For Dylan is was recording contract and road to fame. For Jesse it was her career in the recording industry and independence from her farm girl beginnings. I loved how the serial ended and couldn’t imagine there could be more to the story.

JJ Knight, being the brilliant author she is, proved me wrong. There is more to their story.

Blue Shoes picks up about six months after Jess and Dylan became engaged. Dylan is on the road to stardom and Jess is now an executive at the Record Company. Both are heading towards fulfilling and lucrative careers. But those careers could very well tear this couple apart.

Dylan’s new found fame has the paparazzi on their heels all the time. His fans demand his attention and Dylan is digging the adoration. They have decided to plan a secret wedding to keep the paparazzi and fans out of their special day. They want to share it with close friends and family.

The secret wedding plan is turning into the ultimate disaster. Jess is attacked by the paparazzi and her wedding dress is stolen. Her boss wants her to go to Rome for four weeks to deal with their international distribution. Dylan is on the brink of recording a new album and his label is pushing him into the spotlight. Neither one of them has time for a wedding in their present state of existence.

Dylan encourages Jess to go to Rome to escape all the paparazzi. She can find the perfect dress, take care of her career, and he can get the album finished. But can their fragile relationship handle the separation?

While Jess is pining away for Dylan in Rome, Dylan goes off the radar. What happens after that will leave you in shock and dying for more. Right now, Dylan is not looking so good and making me want to kick his butt.

It will be interesting to see what happens next. JJ Knight can twist a story and make the hero look like a villain and then turn it around so we wonder why we even questioned his integrity in the first place.

I highly recommend this serial. There are only three books in this serial. We won’t have to wait too long for the next installment in the series.

Blue Shoes Serial is a Amazon exclusive and part of the Kindle Unlimited plan. If you don’t have a kindle ereader you can download the Kindle app for your computer, phones, and tablets.

You gotta love JJ Knight and the way she ropes you in with her stories. 1 volume at a time, each ending with a cliff hanger that leaves you anxiously waiting for the next. She's done it again with Blue Shoes. As the blurb on the book says, it's the story of Jess & Dylan who you may have met in the Revenge series. I never did get to that series but I feel I need to soon now just to see what sort of back story it has on these 2. You don't have to read Revenge to pick up this series but there is some history that keeps being brought up regarding a previous breakup of Jess & Dylan, where she cheated on him. That's a bit of a change from the Rock Star usually being the one to cheat so that's a little refreshing and makes me want to check it out. Also, I'd like to see how the 2 of them met and ended up together so maybe that's in there.

Jess works at Morris Music as a young, fast rising executive. The same agency that represents Dylan Wolf's group. The 2 of them are engaged, living together and planning their wedding that no one really knows will be in 6 weeks rather than further down the road as they've originally said. The plan is to have a quiet wedding to avoid the paparazzi that plague them.

In volume 1 Jess goes out to find the perfect wedding dress. She comes from a simple life and wants a simple, but beautiful dress. The excursion is anything but simple when the paparazzi make their appearance and Dylan comes to her rescue. There is a visit to the Er and after Dylan provides his form of a medical check-up, Jess is good as new. The paparazzi is wearing on Jess so after some discussion with Dylan she decides to take her boss up on the offer of going with him to Rome, Italy to help with some agency business. Dylan tells her she can take some time to find a new dress there and he will meet up with her as soon as he wraps up his PR for the groups new album. While in Italy Jess just thinks about Dylan and misses him but does well with the work, when she focuses on it. Things seem to be going ok until she begins receiving notices on her phone regarding Dylan. There are some videos of him kissing a girl and some nude selfies so she begins to break down because she thinks she's losing him.

Jess is quite insecure in her relationship with Dylan and volume 1 leaves us hanging with her receiving a phone call, hoping it's from Dylan to explain everything away.

I received and ARC for my honest review...

Blue Shoes #1 picks up where Revenge #5 left off, but can be read without reading the Revenge Series.

Jessica and Dylan are planning a wedding, not only for publicity purposes, but a real wedding. Thing is their friends and family have no clue it's for real.

Nick Clark visits Jessica at Morris Records and says's hes's come to offer a truce. Jessica is not sure what he's up to, but she doesn't like it.

Jess goes dress shopping and find the her wedding dress, she doesn't care that it was one that was returned and my have bad karma, she knows this is her dress. Problem is the paparazzi has somehow found out she is at the bridal store, she gets ambushed as she tries to make her way out the back of the store, her dress is stolen and she ends up in the hospital.

Chet asks Jessica if she can go to Rome to help with business there, she asks how long. When he tells her, she decides to tell him, that she can't because of her "secret wedding". Later, when talking to Dylan, they get on the subject of Rome and he tells her that she should go, he's busy with his music right now, and tells her "Bellissima, I will meet you in Rome." "I swear."

While in Rome with Chet, things aren't going so well for Jess, her purse straps are cut and someone makes off with her purse. Then her phone starts doing all sorts of weird things, not to mention she's missing Dylan something awful. Soon her phone starts sending her "alerts" about Dylan, and she knows she didn't set them up. Curiously she clicks on the alerts, and she's sorry she does, there's a picture of Dylan kissing another girl at the Avalon Hollywood. She keeps telling herself she shouldn't overreact, she's been wrong in the past.

Jess is just beside herself when more alerts keep popping up. Dylan calls her, but the connection is not so good, and he's in a hurry to go. He tells her to wait for him....as more alerts pop in, Jess is sick to her stomach. Just then her phone rings....she's hoping it's Dylan.....

Cliffhanger.....can't wait to find out what happens in Blue Shoes #2

Blue shoes is the start of a brand new 3 part series focusing on Dylan Wolf and Jess Riveria and I'm not sure how I should give my review. Not because the story wasn't good but I was disappointed with how things are turning.

I did read the earlier series which is Revenge but no worries if you have not read them coz this series can be read as a standalone. Now I loved Dylan Wolf and I loved how Dylan and Jess came together after all that they've been though but it seems as though those tough times are not ending just yet. They are getting married soon but there're still so much uncertainty in the air about their relationship.

I feel for Jess... literally. Being hounded by paparazzi everywhere is no joke, add in Dylan's erratic schedules, his last minute impromptu events, fan meets, etc just make the whole relationship harder. Jess was about to give up a business trip opportunity to Rome to plan for their wedding only to have Dylan asking her to proceed with the business trip and leave the wedding planning to him. She left for her flight without seeing or hearing from Dylan and few days passed with no word from him still.

Honestly, Dylan and Jess are supposedly very much in love and Jess just can never get enough of Dylan. Dylan could always give her flutters anytime. Dylan seems to be hot for her every time too. However, I couldn't help but wonder... if I would want a man whom I'm hot for every time or a man who would be able to give me a sense of security that I'll be the only one he'll have eyes for, regardless how rich and famous he may be.

The insecurities Jess have are screaming at her and things are not helping the situation when she saw a video of a girl kissing Dylan and it looks like he was looking at her too...

JJ Knight is the queen of cliffhangers and boy, can she spin a complicated tale without being over the top. I'm definitely anxious to see how the story progresses.

Blue Shoes Vol 1

I received an ARC, and these are my most sincere thoughts.

Blue Shoes is the new saga in the lives of Jess Rivera and Dylan Wolf. You don’t necessary need to have read the Revenge series, but if you did you will appreciate more the evolution of the characters. This story starts with the happy couple driving thru LA, in a flashy sports cars and fans yelling and crying for their attention. We see a confident Dylan who enjoys adoring fans while Jess projects a calm façade while her insecurities rage in her insides. Fans and paparazzi are their new normal, along with long hours on stage or recording studio for Dylan and a busy schedule for Jess at her work at Morris Music. Although they are doing what they do best and love, career moves threaten their relationship. It is good that most characters from Revenge are back. Love the interaction between the girls: Riley (voice of reason), Amanda (party girl) and Jess; their friendship has grown and it is stronger than ever. A shopping trip is always an eventful adventure, and this one is loaded with laughter, drama and well intention banter. Then, there are those sexy –couple’s time for Jess and Dylan. They are hot! But not even those will help when contractual compromises directly affect Dylan and Jess. Will that small town girl be able to deal with a long separation from her rock star fiancée? Blue Shoes does end in a cliffhanger( only reason for a 4.5 star rating), but it only fuel my interest and need to know what will come next to this beloved couple. I’m looking forward to Blue Shoes Vol 2 &3.

****************I was gifted an ARC by the author in exchange for my own, honest review*****************

It's been a year since the street busker turned rocker, Dylan Wolf, proposed to girlfriend, Jessica Rivera, and things have gotten....complicated. Jessica is beginning to see that fame has its drawbacks. Namely the paparazzi that love to invade her private life. She's beginning to loathe the life that Dylan lives as a rock star on his way to the top. She loves him with everything she has, she just doesn't love the craziness that comes with being engaged to a celebrity. Jessica begins to fear that Dylan won't meet her at the later. She's afraid that he'll find someone new to replace her. The paps relentlessly follow her, and in one instance, actually hurt her. One even steals her wedding dress. When Jessica is asked to go to Rome with her boss for five weeks, Dylan insists that she go. He tells her that he'll even meet her in Rome "soon". Jessica stumbles upon several videos in which her fiancee is seen kissing someone who is not Jessica. Is this the straw that breaks the camel's back? Is this a sign that Jessica needs? The excuse she needs to walk away from a lifestyle she so clearly wants nothing to do with?

JJ absolutely delivers another amazing book along with her famous cliffhanger. Yes, this installment ends on a cliffy and it's crazy. I highly recommend that you read Revenge 1-5 before reading this series, as you'll meet Jessica and Dylan and see how their relationship develops. I highly recommend this one!

Hmmmm. This one did not start well for me and I was thinking that I would NOT be reading the remaining two books in the series (they were all free so I have them all on my Kindle).

I found the heroine extremely fragile. Her mental state was sending me into conniptions!! Thank God I don't have to deal with paparazzi because it sounds like a personal hell! And the author does not make her sound like she was all that stable PRIOR to meeting a rock star. Her life sounds like it is overwhelming for her and her relationship is only exacerbating the problem. But true love can do that to you! And you have to put up with all sorts of issues for love and man, does she put up with a lot.

Don't get me wrong, I get a sense (in Book 1) that Dylan really enjoys having sex with her and might even have strong feelings for her but for a 23 year old to feel like she can't be honest and speak her mind about anything that he might not like in case of "trouble" (like getting dumped or incurring his wrath) just doesn't give me all that much hope for the future of the relationship. Either she is desperate and he is a user/ player or there is something deeper about this relationship that has only been touched on so far.

So even though I started out thinking I wouldn't be reading more thanks to the irritating, paranoid girlfriend... she COULD be onto something (well, I don't trust their relationship that's for sure). I have to find out what happens to the man ho and the executive twit! 3 stars.

I was given the opportunity to read an ARC of this book from the author. To understand what is happening you need to have read her series Revenge because the two main characters Dylan and Jess are the same main characters in that series.

The story picks up with the two in LA again but this time they are so in love and attempting to plan their wedding! However, life with a rock star doesn't prove to be easy. I hate to say it, but Jess kinda got on my nerves! She just seemed a bit whiny about things. I get that its frustrating and the press would make me crazy, but seriously not telling the love of your life how you are feeling because you are afraid it will break you two up....well that is a HUGE red flag in any relationship in my book!

So the couple are super hot when they are together, but there are all sorts of issues that pop up during this portion of the story. I am pretty sure someone is trying to break them up, but I don't know for sure because right when things get good it ends! I hope to read part 2 soon to keep the story fresh and be able to give a good continuing review.

At this time all I can say is if you have read Revenge then check this out because it is always nice to see characters return, however if you haven't then wait a few weeks to see what I think of the entire part! I enjoyed Revenge (don't think I wrote a review), but am torn about how I feel about this series.

Blue Shoes is the first book from a new, three part series by JJ Knight. It is the story of young adults Jessica Lynn Rivera and Dylan Wolf. Jessica is a marketing executive for Morris Music and not only does she love her job, she works very hard to be successful. Dylan is the quintessential rock star, talented, hard-working and eye candy to most women. Recently, Jessica and Dylan got engaged, and as a result, the paparazzi follow them both around incessantly. Dylan handles it all in stride, while Jessica finds the unwanted attention to be completely overwhelming. They are madly in love and create tremendous heat while on a gurney in the hospital or in their own bathtub.

J.J. Knight's writing style is smooth and easy to read. This story was more like a short film than a book, because I was actually watching the plot unfold before my eyes. Ms. Knight's attention to detail and realism is beyond amazing. I felt and saw everything Jessica was dealing with complete clarity. Dylan's rock star persona was on the mark and I snarked at his cavalier attitude. An author who is able to make me think about their book at the most unexpected times, is truly talented in my eyes. Overall, this is a great beginning to the series.

I was gifted a copy of this in exchange for my honest review. If you haven't read JJ's Revenge Series then stop right now because you should definitely read it. Although I love Dylan and Jess, I do not particularly like the whole serial concept. I feel like a broken record, but I hate being spoon fed little snippets of a story. It leaves me very unsatisfied. This one was a little better as far as length and since this series will wind down in 3 installments I'm hoping the next two will be a little meatier. I love these characters and think there was plenty of drama to keep this Volume edgy and interesting. 4 Stars from me on Volume 1. Per norm JJ leaves us with a cliffy but luckily we wont have to wait too long for Volume 2.

Blue Shoes is the next chapter in the Jess Rivera and Dylan Wolf story. At the end of Revenge Dylan and Jess are happy and engaged to be married. Blue Shoes starts off a year from then and Jess is struggling with being in the spotlight that Dylan loves. Having a rock star fiancé makes it impossible to do anything normal or privately especially wedding plans. Not wanting her wedding day to be a media nightmare, Jess and Dylan have decided not to tell anyone when their big day is. With the big day quickly approaching and Jess's job taking her to Rome for 5 weeks the distance between Jess and Dylan is going to be tough.

After reading about Jess and Dylan in the 5 part series Revenge by JJ Knight earlier this year I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Blue Shoes series to see what happens to them next!!! Its not a must to read Revenge but it gives you a little history on how they became a couple (well worth reading). :)

As usual, JJ didn't disappoint and I'm loving the Blue Shoes series just as much. Although be aware the ending of Book 1 is enough to make you want to either strangle JJ for the ending or Dylan for the things Jess is havin to read about while in Rome... I'm still deciding which atm! ;)

I'm not sure how Jess is able to deal with all the adoring fans that climb all over Dylan, not to mention the paparazzi that follow her around and cause havoc and are just plain rude, all while she's trying to get ready for a wedding... The only thing I didn't like about Book 1 was... I wish it was MUCH longer!! :)

Grab this series I'm sure you'll love it!! I know I can't wait to get my hands on Book 2 and 3!! :)

Dylan and Jess are back and wow wow wow! I didn't think you could leave us wanting any more JJ Knight but you did! In this next book of Dylan and Jess's story some time has passed, they are engaged to be married, planning a wedding and being stalked by the paparazzi as a result of Dylan's rock star fame. Jess is working as an executive for Morris Music a job she always dreamed of. As always fame has it drawbacks but the two are still so very much in love and can't keep their hands off of each other. Jess still has her issues with her fear that Dylan will leave her but her love for him for the most part keeps her fears in check....Jess travels to Rome with her boss and while waiting for Dylan to show up the unthinkable happens she sees a video of Dylan....this book does end with a cliffhanger but never fear the next book will soon be here! I can not wait to see what happens next and if you haven't read JJ Knight's books you do not know what you are missing and what are you waiitng for! JJ Knight had me hooked with Revenge and she hasn't let me down!!!!

Got the ARC of Blue Shoes, Vol. 1 late tonight and couldn't wait until morning to read the continuing saga of Dylan and Jess. So now, having read it, it's the wee hours of the morning and the only disappointment I'm feeling is that I can't read on to learn what will happen next.

Although there is enough background relayed to read this without having first read Revenge, I truly would not recommend it. Knowing all that Dylan and Jess have already experienced adds so much to this story and most of that was well developed in Revenge.

Jess is feeling the pressure of Dylan's growing fame, having to deal with the paparazzi hounding her and the stories and photos/videos of Dylan in apparently compromising situations showing up continuously. Especially while she is working in Italy and unable to even communicate regularly with Dylan or her friends. She can't even make normal wedding plans. And who is that girl he appears to be kissing in those photos and videos? Something's got to give and it looks like it may be their relationship...

AGAIN!! SHE DID IT AGAIN!! I knew, I knew that I shouldn't read this until all 3 of them were out, because she did it again! HUGE ASS CLIFF HANGER!!

I can't imagine being a celebrity or professional athlete or the significant other of one for these exact reasons! I personally am not a celebrity follower because so much of that tabloid trash you read is just that, trash, and they are people just like us who need to be able to live their private lives.

My heart is breaking for Jess, and the blurb for Book 2 doesn't help that. I want Jess and Dylan to have their HEA but is that possible with Dylan's personality and Jess' insufficient self-confidence?

I will be waiting on pins and needles for Blue Shoes Book #2!

9/10
I'm starting to rethink my earlier statement of wanting them to have their HEA. I'm not sure they are good for each other. They say they love one another, but is it that or is it just damn good sex? Starting to think that I'm not sure how I want this to end.

They're back!!!! The HOT COUPLE Dylan and Jess have returned and of course they are hotter than every. This new series takes off a year after Revenge ends and Dylan is still a huge Rock Star and Jess is an Executive at Morris Music, they are getting married in six weeks in a secret ceremony that no one knows about and it is stressing Jess out to no end. If Jess has any luck in the world it is all bad except having Dylan in her life or is it? Jess is still insecure about Dylan leaving her again so she doesn't do anything to upset him, but it seems like he has no qualms about upsetting her. Dylan is working on new music and Jess has to go to Rome for business will their love survive and what is Dylan doing making out with a new woman and taking naked selfies at home? This book ends in a cliffhanger with two more parts coming out. I can't wait for part two to see what JJ has in store for this couple.

I was gifted this book in advance for a honest review....

I have to say the continued story of the Revenge series is great, even better than Revenge. If you enjoy a story that is going to keep you in suspense this is the one that is going to do that. You get just enough to get you hooked and then boom cliffhanger! (Which we all know I love) JJ is the queen of cliffhangers, just when you think she couldn’t do that again she does it and even better than the first. So if you don’t like to be left with the unknown you might want to wait till all the parts are out.
Dylan and Jess love seems to stand some pretty hard blows, they have been through a lot together. Their Love is going to be tried again! There is lot of suspense and madding situations going on in Blue Shoes. This is a book that is going to have your emotions running wild. Is Dylan’s love for Jess true or is there some funny business going on with people from the past. I’m looking forward to reading book 2.

JJ Knight delivers another winner in the followup to her popular Revenge series. We are thrust back into the fast paced and often tumultuos lives of moody, but talented, Dylan Wolf and his fiance', insecure farm girl turned music executive Jess Rivera.

The deliciously troubled couple is still surrounded by a host of unique characters, inluding loyal friend Amanda and protective sisyer Riley. Fringe characters Chet, Jess's boss and the still mysterious Nick, Jess's old coworker are back in the mix. The result is another fast paced book that grabs you by the throat and keeps you on the edge of your seat!

Will the enigmatic, bad wolf Dylan break Jess's heart again. Can naive, little red ridinghood, Jess claim the love she wants & deserves in spite of the throngs of fans. What is really happening at Morris Music and who will be standing when the dust finally settles?

This book could stand alone but the storyline is enhanced if you have read the Renvenge series!

I am so excited to have more of Jess and Dylan. Their story continues with them engaged and trying to make their relationship work with his busy schedule and her's now that she is an executive at Morris Music. The paparazzi is still hard on their tails and so they are trying to get married secretly, even their family and closest friend have no clue. Chet, Jess' boss needs her to go to Rome for work. She doesn't want to go because of the secret wedding to be, but Dylan tells her she should go get some time away from the hounding paparazzi, so she goes and Dylan promise to come and spend some time with her. But once there they are missing each other on the phone. The connection is bad and it's just not the same. Jess is missing Dylan and home then all of a sudden she is getting all the internet gossip of Dylan and women and photos of him on all his glory. Jess is left not knowing what to believe. Part 2 where are you. Love it.

Thanks to the author, I was allowed to read an ARC of this book. This is book one of three in the series and oh my goodness, it was so good. This series follows Jess & Dylan, a couple from the Revenge series. Dylan is an up and coming musician that has fans after him all of the time. Jess is a music executive who is having to learn to deal with being the fiance' of a popular musician.

While Jess & Dylan are planning a secret wedding, Jess has to travel to Rome for business. While in Rome, Jess discovers some interesting video and photo information on what has been going on with Dylan back in the states. How will this impact their relationship? We don't know yet because part 1 left us hanging. I can't wait for the next installment! It is great that J.J. Knight decided to give us more of this fantastic couple. Five stars and bring on the next one!
