"The gold thread had swerved, wrapped itself around another thread. If she followed the golden thread backwards, it would lead her where she belonged. It glowed in her mind, with small offshoots fading into nothingness, paths untaken." Following a strand from the previous novel, this sequel explores the theme of teleportation within one or more universes. It is a well-researched story about a spacecraft pilot who finds herself launched into a time travel journey. In another sphere a young man becomes a mole in a large corporate control center. These two worlds are juxtaposed for some surprising results.
