A Heavenly Interception

Rate this book
Book Two - A HEAVENLY INTERCEPTION (Anarchy of Angels Trilogy)

In Book 1 - Tony and Johnny once travelled on sacred land. The young men journeyed where no Angel dared, venturing from Heaven and into Hell central, taking on the demons of "Fire & Brimstone".

Now, (in Book 2) they live their lives on Earth, having no memory of their hell bound adventure. But there is one who hasn't forgotten. Lucifer is set on revenge, and so he sends his trusted servant, Sebastian, to Earth to find and to finish what could not be accomplished in the spiritual plane above.
Sebastian will need to resort to extreme measures, using "human hosts" as a means to walk around the Earth incognito. However, using human hosts has its setbacks but none-the-less, Sebastian will stalk the boys and chase them half way around the globe.
There is nothing that will get in the way of this dedicated demon from completing his mission. The boys will pay the ultimate price for what they have done.
The finale set in the famous Gothic Cathedral of Cologne Germany – It is here where Angelic Intention, Hellish influence, Earthly friendships, A psychic medium and an innocent German family all link together for one last time.

1) LOGLINE:
Tony, an angry young sceptic, is surprised to find himself playing an integral role in a brewing war between angels and demons.

2) SYNOPSIS: (333 words)
ARCHANGEL MICHAEL is seethed about the continuous attacks on Heaven. In a supernal act unlike any carried out before, the warrior class spirit devises his plan to use the ‘fresh’ souls of two young friends for his own self-serving purpose. TONY and JOHNNY will carry out their divine mission to deliver orbs that dispense heavenly light to pierce the blackness of Hell. Demons screech and Dark Angels fall from the sky when they fly into the brightness. This violation thrusts the darkness into chaos, enraging LUCIFER.

An all-out devilish borne, retaliatory plan evolves where the heavens will succumb to the invading demonic terrors. The hostility between Angel and Demon will rage on for far longer than ever before, ultimately ending when the demonic army is forced back into the diminishing darkness of fire and brimstone. Lucifer then plans his vengeance by interjecting the natural order of the heavenly processing and reclaiming of souls, turning it directly to hell.
After their divine mission, the two friends are returned to Earth to live out their lives as it was meant to be. They hold no memory of their journey through Hell. Unknown to the two friends, in an act of payback, Lucifer sends his trusted General SEBASTIAN to seek revenge on the boys. Tony survives his attack however Johnny is given a first class ticket straight to Hell. When Johnny returns to a battle worn Heaven, Archangel Michael immediately engages him to seek his revenge on Lucifer. It is an immeasurable undertaking and Johnny will need his friends help, he cannot do it alone.
On Earth, Tony meets a gifted medium (MADAME LIZ) who is propelled into her own otherworldly mission to help Tony remember his divine purpose and protect him from the hellish danger that is imminent. It is only when Tony finally comes to terms with his own crisis of faith, that he will be able to possess the spiritual insight to assist the spectral visitant, Johnny, in his battle to defeat Lucifer.

A Heavenly Interception is filled with lots of vivid descriptions and interesting characters. Its takes you on a fabulous journey through Germany, explores the great, interesting and often complicated intricacies of family and friendships. There’s a lot going on, a lot of characters to keep up with and POV switching between heaven, hell and the interesting characters on earth, it’ll keep you on your toes for sure. Overall, this is a nice story about good vs evil, believing in something bigger than yourself, love and most of all, the loyalty of friendship.

As with the first book in this series, I found the depictions of heaven / hell and angels / demons fascinating. The descriptions and the interactions between the two worlds are fleshed out a bit more in this book and the 'mechanics' of humans becoming possessed (for want of a better word which doesn't create a spoiler) by demons is a little different to anything I've come across before. Those scenes in particular really caught my attention.
My favourite character is Liz - a bit offbeat, alternative, free from the shackles of mainstream society, traverses the world alone and creates brief connections with the many strangers she meets but also maintains a few rock solid friendships. I'm glad she is more prominent in this book. I wonder will she be around in the third installment?

I found the subject matter to be intriguing. It is a classic story of good versus evil, using elements of Christianity at its base. It may be for some a different and thought provoking view of beings from heaven or hell, and how those interactions affect those on earth. For me, the story at times was a little hard to follow, but its uniqueness, depth of character and story, and belief of something larger than us make it an interesting and enjoyable read.

Must admit I felt confused and mind was chaotic in the beginning until I adjusted to the authors overwhelming impressions of Heaven and Hell. The author's navigating each chapter between each group of characters kept my mind reeling for the outcome. The dying in Heaven or Hell again was a bit mind blowing.

Thank goodness it's a story. Very enjoyable read and thought provoking.
