This is a book of poetry that tells a story about a long term relationship of 6 years and the break-up that followed. The book is divided into 7 sections; The Glance, The Pull, The Hit, The Fall, The Mirror, The Armor, and The Rise. It would be very helpful for someone who is trying to heal from a broken relationship. It almost seems like someone used this as writing therapy to help with their pain and recovery. It is worth the read.

Another book teaching me to love poetry. A Knife to a Gunfight starts out as a person reeling through their thoughts as they try to process life, who they are, how they got there. It reads so clearly like how my brain works trying to process its worst times. And then slowly hope dawns. This book goes on its own journey of healing, honestly feeling and living each stage of the process. Loved it.

a bit repetitive, but understandable…

Like a healing incantation, it takes more than once of the soul to hear it and respond. Lovely work and full of strength and hope.
