It felt like there’s more time and space for their adventure in China rather than searching in the shipwreck for Jasmine’s Heart. The first part had wrapped up a bit too quickly just to get ahead of its next destination of treasure hunting.
But the second part seems a little incomplete to end their journey that way.
I really enjoy these stories because they have so much information and make it fun to learn about more things. My daughter loves these books and wants to read them all. Thank God for summer, we will be reading all the ones we haven't so far.
I liked the book because there are 2 adventures in it. The first adventure was about finding a diamond in a sunken ship. The second adventure was about Thea and her friends searching for lost treasure.
Other than the fact that it's basically two short stories in one, this was pretty good (oh and also am I the only one who thought it was weird that the only character who specifically was mentioned to like to was Violet who always wanted green tea?)
Adventure! Diving! Haunted! Which do you like the best? Adventure? Diving? Haunted stuff? Well, how about 3 in 1? Well, you can borrow this book called Thea Stilton and the ghost of the shipwreck! Sounds interesting? Well than you don’t have to read this whole review! Go borrow!
There is a haunted shipwreck off on Whale Island, and a very rare diamond was lost when the ship sank. When the Thea Sisters, Nicky, Colette, Pamela, Paulina and Violet, biology professor disappears, the mice have to dive deep into the ocean to find him-and hopefully recover the priceless jewel! And just when they think their adventures are over, the five mice are invited to China to search for another lost treasure!
I would like to recommend this book to 4th and 5th graders only because it has a lot of other funny words in the book. They will make kids confused and spell wrongly. Even though that I like this book, but I still find it that it is not good for 3rd graders and below. It will make them confused.
During a marine biology lesson at Mouseford Academy, the Thea Sisters learn about a mysterious shipwreck off Whale Island. According to legend, a very rare diamond called Jasmine's Heart was on the ship when it sank. When biology teacher Professor Van Kraken disappears, the Thea Sisters have to dive into the deep ocean to find him and the jewel. And just when they think their adventures are over, the Thea Sisters receive an invitation to travel to China to find another missing treasure.
The plot unfolds seamlessly, with each chapter leaving readers on the edge of their seats, eagerly turning the pages to uncover the next clue. What sets "Thea Stilton and the Ghost of the Shipwreck" apart is its strong emphasis on friendship and teamwork. As the Thea Sisters work together to unravel secrets, they learn the true value of cooperation and solidarity. Each character brings their own unique strengths to the table, highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion.
you might be asking…mckenna, why are you reading a book for children? the answer is bc it’s in spanish!
since being in europe i have a revived dedication to bettering my spanish and i figured a good way to do that would be by reading kids’ books in spanish. even better bc i used to read thea stilton books allllll the time as a kid. it was honestly a good confidence builder and i got some good practice out of it.
anyway! i don’t really have a review of the book bc it’s for children…the 2 star rating is kind of arbitrary, so clearly disregard. this book was all about bettering my language skills! onto the next!
I believe this is probably the longest one from all the series (so far from what I read). I felt like there was two stories in what. This book was enjoyable. I liked the mystery aspect of it. I thought it was well put out. I love how us as reader were transported to China. I got to learn so much. It is a beautiful country. And this book portrayed its beauty and exquisite elements.
It got 2 different adventures in one book! Pretty interesting plot. It includes a map, so throughout the reading you flip the page to the last one and find the place they are talking about. It's a mystery book so it has "clue boxes" all along ! Read it to find out more!
another cutie little book. lowkey got kinda confused since it was 2 stories in one… but there wasn’t really any sort of connection between the two? idk
In this installment featuring Thea's Sisters, our intrepid mouslings find themselves saving a shipwreck treasure from thieves, then flyng off to Beijing to see Violet's parents perform with the Beijing Opera. While in Beijing another treasure hunt comes to them, involving the Legend of the Jade Princess and the Great Wall of China. Entertaining as the story is, the watercolor drawings throughout are spectacular. Particularly stunning are those showing underwater sea life.
Even though this is technically the fifth book of the series and there are two mysteries here that don't exactly tie together (outside of finding treasures), this was still an entertaining journey to take with the Thea Sisters. As a reader, it's easy to see how close they've gotten, more so here than in The Mountain of Fire, and they efficiently worked together to make this book fly by.
this is a fun book to read for 8 9 and 10 year olds who struggle reading. some of the word are brightly colored with fancy writing. this is a great book I think that people should read because the are really interesting. I think you should read this book.
first half of the book was interesting . story was good. but the second half was really random and abrupt. them just running to china randomly. that could've been a whole separate book with more details. it doesn't even have anything to do with the books title or cover.
Mars loved this book. It surprisingly had two separate mysteries in it. Aurelia liked looking at the pictures and listening along too. This book helped encourage her to get into chapter books, which I'm so excited about!
