The Bear’s Blooming Mate is the second title in the Bear Creek Forever: Thornberg Vineyard series, bringing us Elsbeth and Philip’s romance as they work their way through Elsbeth’s grief over her mother’s death and the promise to fulfill a dream they both shared. Philip knows immediately that he’s found his mate, but she’s hurting and needs tender loving care, which he’ll gladly provide. His approach to his mate will be slow-burning, building trust along the way. Sometimes, only time can heal wounds and point the way to a better tomorrow.
I loved The Bear’s Blooming Mate by Harmony Raines so much. Philip is a patient man; he’s used to the long-term plans as he tends and nurtures the vines to create some of the finest wines around Bear Creek. So giving Elsbeth space is perhaps frustrating to his bear, for the long haul, yet showing patience as she begins to trust what is developing between them is the answer to help heal his mate. While helping her set up her cut flower business, finding a hidden spring to help nurture the flowers, Philip is building a connection that Elsbeth can slowly accept. A sudden storm may bring everything between them to a head very quickly, but the best things in life are worth waiting for.
If you’re looking for a well-written, emotional shifter romance with touches of humor and family shenanigans, then The Bear’s Blooming Mate by Harmony Raines would be perfect for you. I loved Elsbeth’s and Philip’s story, and I believe you will, too.

Super addition to the Bear Creek Forever: Thornberg Vineyard series!
Philip is helping plan a surprise party for their parents when he gets a text from Finn to meet at the old Larson place at 4 pm. When he gets there, he meets Elsbeth, who is waiting for her new landscape architect Finn to arrive. Philip recognizes right away that Elsbeth is his mate. But she has moved to Bear Creek to follow her dead mother's final wishes to make a flower arranging farm/ business. She has no plans for a handsome and helpful vineyard grower! Will Philip be able to convince Elsbeth that he is just what she needs? Read this to find out!
The pace is fast and the tone is hopeful with a character centered storyline that has some steamy scenes. The characters are vivid and endearing. Read the books in thus series in order so you get the most from each one. But if you want to start at the very beginning, get and read the Bear Creek and Bear Bluff box set. Then read the Return to Bear Bluff box set and the many books in the Return to Bear Creek series, some in box sets and some might still be sold singly. Then there are many other Bear Creek/Bear Bluff side series to enjoy, and don't forget the first Bear Creek Forever series: Thornberg Ranch. Enjoy these lovely shifter romances with fantastic characters and sometimes some major problems to solve!

This was another fantastic story in the Bear Creek Forever series. This was Philip and Elsbeth's story. Elsbeth's mother passed away from cancer and she decides to fulfill her dream of owning a cut-flower business. Philip shows up because his brother Finn accidently sent him a text about a meeting where she lives. He knows she's his mate but he has to take it slow. Sweet and just the right amount of spice. Love the Thornberg family and love this series!

The stories of Bear Creek are like a worn flannel shirt -- warm, comfortable, comforting. Harmony Raines has written many series around Bear Creek and this one promises to be equally great and filled with uncertainty and warmth. Short and sweet story.
No ups, downs or problems, just a nice enjoyable read with likeable characters.
I somehow read book 3 before this one but it didn’t impinge on the story at all.
