A bombshell waitress who wants more. A former FBI agent who wants less … except for her.

Imogene Walsh has always been unapologetically confident and ruthlessly opinionated with people, particularly men. No one is spared from her unfiltered mouth, but it hasn’t seemed to deter Cooper MacKenzie. Although he is not the clean-cut, businessman type she’s always thought she should pursue, Imogene is drawn to the sexy outsider who is the hottest topic in town gossip, the fantasy heartthrob women love to speculate about.

She has spent most of her life in the little town of Hera, NY, putting her numerous forgettable relationships behind her and floundering in both her professional and personal life. Work and men—neither have gone well for her. Now it’s reached the point where she wants to stop playing it safe.

It may be time to live up to her tough reputation and take a chance on Cooper, the only man who isn’t intimidated by Imogene’s brash personality. However, it could be a thrilling ride that doesn't end well.

4.5 Stars. Cooper deserves an award for being so kcuffing patient with Imogene and her hang ups lol No, but seriously he was kind and generous. He waited. He forgave her poor attitude. He is everyone's dream guy! I loved this story because our hero saw past a very prickly heroine and found the love of his life even if he had to get over some stuff himself to figure it all out. The story is super cute and funny. It's sweet and genuine. It has a small town feel good vibe and it was just what I needed. Safety: No OW/OM/Sharing. Neither are Vs. They wear condoms.

"I don't want a manageable, containable love...I want it to explode, and I want everything that comes with it."

Imogene is stuck in a small town with little choices when it comes to men, especially ones willing to look past her brash personality. Every man she has met has kicked her Wanker Radar into high gear, except for Cooper, the ex FBI agent who has made their small town of Hera, NY into his home. He's been bidding his time for the right chance to pursue Imogene and after fourteen months all it takes is one drunk night from her to get the ball rolling.
"After you had your tongue down my throat and before you licked my ear, you asked if I had a tattoo on my ass."

Imogene's main focus is turning their small jewelry business into something big, something that will no longer require the need to work in the family diner, where she is her personality shines brightest. No matter how much of a bitch she is, how much she ignores him and gives him a hard time, he is unfazed an willing to go at her speed.
"So, does this mean you're ready for more? Dinner? A movie? A trip to Target? Anything?"

Cooper is just a little to perfect, which freaks Imogene out even more. Forced to play nice for their best friends wedding, they are a pair up, being the only two single ones left. Cooper has a lot of notable strengths and spending time with him just goes to show how little she really knew him.
"We have to make up for lost time - fourteen goddamn months that I should have been all over you." "Aw, well, think of that as the world's longest foreplay."

Cute, funny and charming, she can't help but fall for him. There has to be something wrong with him, but what ... It seems he knows all abut her and she knows nothing of him, his past or his future...
"You had to meet a few wankers before you met me so you'd know how awesome I am."

Faithful was just an easy good read for me, just a story about a girl who has had more than her fair share of "wankers" and a guy who has seen too much ugly to want something beautiful in his life. They weren't broken, but they were far from perfect either. His relentless pursuit and her stubborn refusal made for some interesting tales and an unconventional relationship. Cooper was a nice guy who had the whole bad boy vibe to him, but he wasn't bad at all. Imogene is one you will like or hate, and in my case she wasn't my cup of tea. The rating for this has nothing to do with the author's style but more for my non-connection with the characters. This is a standalone read, which is part of an overall series, but you don't have to read the ones prior to this in order to follow along.

I was so excited to dig into this book when I first read the synopsis. And I was ecstatic when the publisher approved my request!
I was honestly hooked from the very first chapter; Imogene and Lauren's friendship was to die for. Actually, every relationship in that town was so beautifully portrayed. Familial love, friendship, and marriage... It was all very engaging to read about. I rooted for the seniors; everyone was hilarious. Jess and Carson were hilarious; especially at the end. Dylan was so funny he made me cry. Leo and Lauren were so friggin adorable. The scene where the high school girls were being lectured by Imogene was kcuffing hilarious.
Imogene is one of the very few protagonists that I adored. What with her 'kcuff it' attitude and the way she treats her customers when she's in a bad mood (but really, mostly always):
After I serve decaf coffee to everyone who asked for regular and regular to all those who asked for decaf and gave away free ice cream to all the kids whose parents said 'no sugar!'...

Yes, she had an attitude and was downright rude. But she honestly surprised me when I was halfway into the book, with her mature decisions and then when she latched on to her dream of getting married and making a family. She wasn't blinded by her love for Cooper, and for that I respected her endlessly. That is the kind of picture that should be portrayed in romance novels. Responsibility and maturity to go along with passionate love and adoration.
Cooper was so sweet and considerate. The way he pined after Imogene was so damn hot and just downright swoony. I couldn't with all his smart remarks and his gifts. I can't believe what he did to help with Lauren and Imogene's business. It was all so thoughtful and so friggin sweet. I can't even.
And I didn't let myself imagine how he looks like with glasses on, but that scene had me cracking up:
"When are we getting married?"
"I haven't planned past today."
"Fine. You're forcing me to bring out the big guns." Cooper removes his glasses from the inside of his T-shirt collar and slides them on.
"Yep. That'll do it."

I loved it when Imogene drove all the way to Brooklyn to see him and his mother. That scene with Fiona made me tear up really bad. I was on the verge of sobbing when she asked her to take that photo album.
Overall, this was an incredibly well-written novel that doesn't only deal with how Imogene found her one true love, but also herself. I personally saw this novel as a coming-of-age, so that was a really pleasant surprise. I loved the whole squad, the parents, the grandparents, the seniors, the young couples, Cooper's fam, and the babies. Will definitely have to check out the previous books if they're anywhere near as good as this one.

3.5 stars!

Adore the cover, adore the series name and love the writing!

I haven't read the rest of the Fearsome series but because this is a standalone, I decided to give it a try (how can I resist this book when there's a character named Imogen?) I was completely smitten from the start!

Between Imogen's smart mouth and Coopers irresistible flirt, the pages exploded with steamy banters filled with tensed sexual chemistry. I fell in love with both of them almost instantly. Imogen had her heart broken by countless wankers. After Jeremy, she sworn to stay away from guys who are hot, sexy and flirty, just like Cooper. Yet, Imogen's indifference towards Cooper never deterred his persistent pursue, will love ever be enough?

Honestly, as cliché as the story may seemed, I had a wonderful time reading the book, mainly because the characters were so lovable and the secondary characters were so well developed. Although I did not read the first two books of the series, I felt as if I had long known their stories. I was also touched by Cooper's faithfulness towards Imogen. His determination in winning Imogen was inspiring (and heart-melting), he was a hopeless romantic despite his past and tough exterior. He really does has a soft spot for Imogen and that's what won me over.

However, as much as I loved the story, there are certain parts to it that I don't really like. Well, whenever I read a romance novel, I mentally divide them into four main segments.

The build up: The journey where the characters are discovering their own feelings towards one another.

The flirty stage: All things are good in lovebirds' heaven.

The drama: A hidden secret was exposed, and things just got ugly.

The sweet finishing: Both characters managed to overcome the obstacle and their relationship did not crumble, but strengthened.

From the build up to the flirty stage, Cooper and Imogen had it covered, I was anticipating of what the next stage would bring. However, it just fell flat from there. I was slightly disappointed that the plot took a turn to the "tug of war" stage, where Imogen and Cooper tiptoed around the I love you, but love is not good enough game. Maybe I was in the mood for drama and needed a heartbreaking story, but there was where Faithful missed the mark. Another negative point for me is the cover. Yes, I adore the cover, however I was unable to relate the awfully romantic story to the kickass cover that emits a dystopian vibe. I was totally getting the Katniss Everdeen vibe and did not peg this for a romantic novel at first, so it was a little bit confusing to me as I spend ample of my reading time staring at beautiful book covers.

Despite it all, the ending was swoon-worthy! I really am looking forward to reading the first two books of the series, that's how faithful I will be :p

Happy reading!

This is Wolfe's third book in the Fearsome series and it is another great book. This time around we get Imogene, the smart mouthed waitress and Cooper the former FBI agent's story. Those who have read the first books in the series will remember these two and will be thrilled to hear their story while those who have never read the series will still enjoy their story as it can be read as a stand alone.

Imogene has been hurt in the past. She always went for the hot guys who ultimately hurt her and even when she tried to go for the typical good guy she still had the rug pulled from under her. Those experiences have kept her from acting on the attraction she has to the sexy former FBI agent who has been trying to get her attention. She has been downright rude to him and it really leads to some funny interactions.

Cooper has had his eye on Imogene for over one year and he was elated when she finally makes the first move, albeit she was drunk off her butt at the time. Regardless, it gave Cooper the green light to relentlessly pursue Imogene and she gets to the point where she can no longer resist his sexy charm.

As the couple pursues their relationship the story fell to a slower pace for me. It really came across as a normal relationship, which without a lot of fireworks or drama can be viewed as a little boring at times. We do get more on the other couples from previous stories during this time so that was nice but I just was looking for a little more. This was the reason for my half point deduction. Well I really just needed to read a bit further because once I found myself in the middle of this couple's conflict I really started to love the story. It was refreshing that during their issue the story still kept a very real vibe to it. This was a relationship issue I can really see a friend of mine dealing with.

Now it is at this point I came really close to an about face on my feelings for Cooper. I loved him in this story but by this point he really started to bother me. Despite all the crazy antics Imogene pulled on Cooper prior to their dating, I totally felt for her and I really wanted to string Cooper up by his well endowed man parts. Now don't get your panties in an uproar, he didn't do anything horrid, but because of the realness of the issue it bothered me more.

Well once again, I simply just needed to keep reading because Wolfe comes through with a hero I can stand behind. Cooper gets his act together and I love everything he does to resolve the conflict. Even better, we get wonderful continuation of not only Cooper and Imogene's story but also Carson and Jess's story in an awesomely written Epilogue. I simply love this book and these characters, and I hope we get more from this group.

It's one less star than the previous book. That is mainly because CARSON WASN'T THE MAIN HERO HERE!!! I know I'm being biased but I can't get over Carson. Cooper was nice but let me tell you he wasn't a Carson!!!!

"You don't want to take the easy way out with a DJ and let people shake their booties any which way they want?"

"Blood circulation is critical to my survival," I whisper to Cooper as I remove my hand from his and pick up utensils. "Oh. a knife." I twirl it in my hand.

"I have a surprise for you," he says, focusing only my eyes with renewed energy. "Really? That's the best you can do? Every guy says that in the morning."

Ok maybe some stuff aren't that happy to people who'll read my reviews but those were funny for me and I thought of sharing them.

Another part that drew me to this was how often the other characters made an appearance. It made me feel so nostalgic? I don't know it was cute seeing them again in their usual selves.

"It's not obvious to me," Jess adds, looking confused. "Nothing is obvious to you," Emma responds, patting Jess's hand. "You're are one of the most clueless women I have ever met when it comes to men. With the exception of Carson, that is."

"I wasn't very ... cautious," Jess stammers. "I was ..." "Oh stop," I say to her. "It's painful just reliving that whole thing with you and Carson. You were so kcuffing clueless about him. You had that thing with Dylan because your head is wired differently. No offence, I love you, but you missed every signal Carson was ending out. That whole summer should be labeled 'What Not To Do With Men,' so please, don't try to compare that to my situation."

JESS AND CARSON ALL THE WAY!!!
Sorry again people.

Back to the story. Like I was saying in the previous review also, this book hell a lot funnier than the first one even though the romance wasn't as cute. Many scenes (without Imogene's sassy mouth also) made me laugh out loud. Specially the dance lessons. That was just too funny.

"Carson, I don't know what you're doing to Jessica over there, but it's not a waltz. You're swinging her around like she's a rag doll, and you;re crushing her hand and stepping on her feet. You're not a circus elephant, learning how to dance."

"Dylan?" Rafe barks as he walk over to Dylan and Emma. "What you're doing is not dancing. It's public molestation."

"Seriously, Dylan, with the way you're mauling Emma, I feel like I should beat you off her with a chair. This is a beautiful waltz. The dancers are supposed to glide across the room. Stop trying to tango or whatever you're doing there. You make this look like a shake-down scene from a Scorsese movie."

Those moments just summed up their relationship in the past two books pretty much :D
You got to give it to Rafe. I would have loved to have him as my dance instructor.
All in all the book was a really fun read and an awesome continuation of this series. I felt the author had gotten better with her writing and I definitely enjoyed the book. Cooper was sweet and their moments were hot as hell. Wolfe sure didn't disappoint in that area for Cooper.

The epilogue was super sweet by the way.

I loved Imogene and Cooper's love story is different and with a sweet ending. I enjoyed reading this book a little more because it gives more information on the characters from Fearsome and Freedom. That was definitely a little bonus to reading this book because I enjoyed all 3 books in this series and this one did not disappoint.

4 kcuffing stars!!

This was a great read... to me it felt like Weezer from steel magnolias meets Matthew Mcconaughey!

I had no idea what to expect starting this book. I was pleasantly surprised!! Faithful is the third book in the Fearsome series, but it is a series of stand alones. Not having read any of the other books in this series I sorta felt like I was dropped right in the middle of a story at the beginning, but was quickly able to catch up!

I really enjoyed this story and ALL the characters! Especially Imogene! She is short tempered, sassy, and prickly. She is also loyal and caring. Her sharp tongue is really a defense mechanism, her prickliness to deter others... mainly men, from getting too close! She has made more than one bad decision in her dating life and has kissed her fair share of frogs and has the emotional scars to prove it!

Cooper.... I can't even type his name without wanting to sigh! He isn't perfect... but pretty darn close. He is private and has some baggage and hang ups, but my oh my.... he is wonderful.

Imogene and Cooper seem to have a love hate relationship starting out, but we see their relationship quickly evolve into more. It was so much fun seeing their relationship evolve and the almost cat and mouse aspect of it all. There is so much sweetness in their story, with a little bit of angst, some laughter, and some heat.

Imogene and Cooper's friends make this story equally as great. The author really makes you feel as if you know them and are part of this circle of friends. Their banter and love feels sincere and genuine and it is so easy to connect to all of these characters.

From the first page of the book we are dropped into what feels like the middle of the story... I immediately felt like I was missing something. However, that feeling does pass as the story goes on. I am the type of book nerd who likes to read the whole series.... and in order. Even if it is a series of stand alones as is the case with Faithful. I just like to know all the history of all the characters. I didn't have the back ground information this time, so for me personally I felt like I was missing out on some history that would have made this book even better.

Overall this was a book I really enjoyed and would recommend to others!

I've loved every single one of the books in S.A. Wolfe's Fearsome series, but I have a new favorite with Faithful. Imogene and Cooper were so freaking easy to love. Imogene is strong, snarky and sarcastic. Cooper is sweet, sexy and swoony. They're both funny and their banter is brilliant. I loved the light-hearted dynamic these between these characters.

Where the first two books in the Fearsome series had a decidedly more serious vibe, Faithful was far more playful. Now, that's not to say there weren't serious issues addressed during the book. But, the overall theme was far lighter (and sexier) than the other two novels.

I want to be besties with Imogene. Seriously. She's my bookish spirit animal. She's the best heroine I've read in a long time. She doesn't have time for bullshit and isn't afraid to speak her mind. A lot of people find this a turn off. Cooper sees through her shell and is determined to get to the woman underneath. It takes awhile, but he finally breaks through. It's after he does that, the real magic happens. Cooper is just flat-out wonderful. He was sexy, kind and determined. He was loyal to those he cared about. He loved his family. (Hell, *I* loved his family and would love to see more of them.) He was the perfect match for Imogene, not because he tamed her, but because he gave her the space to be herself, all the while letting her know he wasn't giving up on her. On the possibility of them.

I can't tell you the last time I read a book where the main characters have this much chemistry – in and out of the bedroom. They gave good banter and I laughed quite a bit while reading their interactions. There were so many great moments between them, but one of my favorites came during a hike they took early on while they were getting to know each other. I think it showcased everything I loved best about these characters. And in the bedroom? Things were steamy. *fans self*

Of course these two have to go through their share of ups and downs. But, nothing ever felt too heavy or angsty to me. Now, that didn't stop me from shedding a few tears along the way, but I'm an emotional reader and I felt connected to Imogene and Cooper.

This was a perfect addition to the Fearsome series. It can be read as a standalone, but I don't know why you'd want to skip over two incredible books to do so. :) If you're a fan of realistic new adult romance, this series should be on your radar – and at the top of your TBR.

I, for one, can't wait to see where Sara takes us next. She's at the top of my auto-buy author list. I can't get enough of her characters and their stories.

Imogene is sarcastic and funny. She is a friend to Lauren and they are also business partners. They both live and work together at her parents diner and at their jewelry business. Lauren has found her man, Leo, but Imogene has had some "wankers" and is taking a break since her last relationship ended.

Right about the time that relationship ended Cooper, and ex-FBI agent, came to town and started working at Carson's furniture factory. Carson is a very good friend to her. Cooper really likes Imogene and she could really like him. She calls him her viking, but she isn't ready for anyone yet. So they go a year with her being mean to him.

This changes one night at a wedding when she's had too much to drink. And she kisses him. That night ends with a kiss since she basically passed out on him but he puts her in the car and then carries her upstairs to her room. She sort of remembers that after Lauren helps that along.

The ribbing gets worse and he loves it. He is going to wear her down and boy does he. The only thing is he is not up front about his family. But then at Lauren and Leo's wedding she finds out he doesn't want to get married and it changes the game once again.

You'll have to read to find out what happens. It is worth the read especially if you like funny characters and sarcastic ones. Along with good old fashioned flirting.

I just love S.A. Wolfe. Faithful is great continuation of the Fearsome Series. I loved Imogene from the past books and even more in this novel. Imogene, is a smart mouth, waitress, jewelry designer, and faithful friend who has always had a man in her life, but never the right one. Tired of being disappointed by men, she decides to focus on work instead. However, Cooper, the sexy, former FBI agent, just does not let her get him out of her head. Cooper has wanted Imogene for over a year and will stop at nothing to get her after the night Imogene attacked him with a drunken kiss. As much as she tries to be rude and disconnected from Cooper, the more she finds him attractive. Finally giving in, Imogene finds herself falling for Cooper, who has demons of his own. As they learn more about each other, Imogene is thrown a curve ball. Realizing that she and Cooper have different views on a very important topic. Can Cooper work through the demons of his past and give Imogene what she wants? Will they find their happily ever after?
A great read that I highly recommend. Great job S.A. Wolfe! Can't wait for your next book.

This is my first book of S.A. Wolfe and I started this series backwards but that does not take away how much I loved this book! Imogene and Coopers dance back and forth was kinda mesmerizing. Between her snark and his constant flirty comebacks, I was loving every minute of this book. The both of them were kinda the perfect blend I like to read about a couple. I can't wait to read the 1st and 2nd book in the series!

“I received this book from netGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is in no way affected my opinion of the book, or the content of my review.”

It’s a refreshing story, Hilarious, with a little touch of mystery.

Note:
This is in fact a standalone book that could be read without worrying of being spoiled.

Debrief

“a bombshell waitress who wants more. A former FBI agent who wants less … except for her.”
Imogene Walsh is the epitome of a hot confident and independent women with a hell of a mouth that could make guys run for the hills, she has encountered many losers in her life that she lost interest in the opposite sex, until the former FBI (hot dude) Cooper MacKenzie who seems unfazed by her unfiltered mouth.
Imogene is tired of ignoring her needs and wants therefore she decides to take a chance with her ever persisting man.
However, how could you give yourself completely if the one who possess your heart isn’t willed to de the same?!

Review:

I must start with the author’s great work on how she introduced the previous character of her first books without giving anything away and how she interviewed them for the benefits of her fans , I’m actually intrigued over both stories (drugs and mental illness is my kind of books).

The storyline was good and I quite enjoyed reading the book, it kept me very entertained.
Imogene is a hilarious character, I admit I have never laughed as much as I did with her, I loved her sincerity and loyalty and more importantly her unapologetic confident and ruthless opinionated thinking, however she is a little frustrating, I might have thought she had a personality disorder, she could go from snarky women who doesn’t tolerate a single fly to a teenage girl and sometimes a cry spoiled baby.
Her character development went very slowly and was extremely rushed over the end.
The chemistry and romantic moment gave this story bonuses, I loved how cooper could be understanding and can look past the front she made to protect her emotions.
Cooper can be very surprising and mysterious, I was amazed by what was revealed in the end (I thought; like Imogene, I had him all figured out but actually he completely changed my mind over him).
This couple was fighting for all the wrong reason, they’ve been arguing over the same argument for the second half of the story, I was like “Sit the kcuf down and just kcufing talk!”

I might’ve given it a 4 if I haven’t struggled to read some parts.

We got introduced to Imogene Walsh in the previous two books in the fearsome series, and I'm thrilled to bits that S.A. Wolfe decided to give Imogene a voice and let her story be told.

Imogene, is a strong, stubborn, witty, hardworking woman. She's been holding down a dead end job, bussing tables in her family owned diner for too long. To say she hates working at the diner would be an understatement, but it pays the bills, for now. Imogene dreams of owing her own jewelry studio with the help of her best friend Lauren. While the two girls have started up a vintage designer jewelry range, it just hasn't taken off.

After countless unsuccessful relationships, combined with the fact that she lives in a small town, where choices in men are very limited, Imogene believes that all men are the same and a waste of her time. She's still dealing with the fact that her last boyfriend up and left town without her and ended things in a very unconventional way, leaving her bitter and pretty much snarky towards men.

When Cooper, a former FBI agent, moves to their small town of Hera, there's no denying that he's a drop dead gorgeous man sent directly from the Viking gods to torment Imogene. He oozes confidence and sex appeal, and has his sights set on winning over Imogene.

What grates Imogene even more is the fact that Cooper has managed to wangle his way into her close knit group of friends, and of course they love him. This infuriates her even more, to a point where she's so rude to Cooper. This would probably make any man run for the hills, but not this Viking. He's hard and after something he can't have. Which makes the game so much sweeter for him.

Having said that, it's not just your typical cliché book, where the guy chases the girl and then gets the girl. There's a whole twist that comes with this story, that you don't see coming. It blind sides you and that's all I'm saying as I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone.

I laughed so much in this book, to a point where I had tears. There are also points in the book where I was holding my breath and couldn't put it down because the tension and angst were killing me. I have to warn you, you may need a few tissues in parts too.

Having read all the books in the fearsome series ( fearsome, freedom and faithful), I have to say that Faithful was my all time favorite of the series. S.A. Wolfe has done an outstanding job on this book, and I can't recommend it enough.

A copy was provided by the author for an honest review.

I have read and enjoyed all of the books in this series, but Faithful was absolutely FANTASTIC! I couldn’t have asked for a better story for Imogene and Cooper, it was perfect.

Faithful can definitely be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading them all (you won’t be disappointed). Reading Faithful was like returning to my hometown and seeing all of my old friends again. The author does an amazing job of creating characters that we can all relate to. They could easily represent our neighbors, our employers, or our closest friends and family. This is what makes her writing so engaging…it’s real.

Imogene is an outspoken, snarky, no holds barred kind of girl. Her life just seems to be in a rut, it’s stagnant, in limbo, going nowhere. She has dreams and goals for herself, but she just can’t give herself that extra push that she needs to make them a reality. She has been waitressing at her family’s diner since the dawn of time, yet still wouldn’t ever be described as a waitress extraordinaire. Her dating life isn’t much better. Oh, she has had her share of boyfriends and encounters over the years, but she has yet to find a man that doesn’t fit into the wanker category.

“Boobs will sag and beauty fades, but as long as I’m alive, no one will ever be able to shut me up.”

Cooper is an ex F.B.I. agent. He is happy to be living a quieter life in Hera, New York. He has a great job, new friends, and a hankering for a particular curvaceous and cranky waitress. Trying to get her attention is harder than he thought, but Cooper is a persistent and patient man.

The chemistry and attraction between Imogene and Cooper is intense. For a girl who gives off such a confident vibe, Imogene has a hard time taking a chance on a man who could be just what she needs. But I will admit that Cooper’s pursuit of Imogene was half the fun!

The dialogue and the banter in this book is second to none. At one point in the book I was laughing so hard that I had tears rolling down my cheeks. Faithful is a very well written book that is brimming with interesting characters that you will fall in love with. The story is romantic, steamy, emotional, funny, and heartwarming. I kcufing loved it!

Working for a living is something Imogene Walsh knows all too well. Working in her family diner to make ends meet, Imogene and her best friend are trying to get a business off the ground. The two create jewelry together using vintage pieces. So - no two pieces are the same. Imogene puts in countless hours trying to make the business grow and succeed.

Working such long hours makes having a love life difficult. Imogene has felt the sting of a string of dating disasters. Something that has made her quite bitter towards men. Living in a small town, her options for dating a successful and available bachelor are slim.

Cooper MacKenzie moved to Hera a little over a year ago. After coming to town for a job, Cooper decided to make his home in the quaint town after leaving his job with the FBI. Cooper is attracted to Imogene. However, she will not have anything to do with him. In fact, she is completely rude and inhospitable to the handsome hunk.

As circumstances bring the two together, Imogene tries to fight her attraction to Cooper. With determination and patience, Cooper tries to win the heart of the opinionated beauty. Imogene is determined to live life on her own and puts road blocks up at every turn. None of it deters Cooper from devouring every moment with Imogene. The two are faced with obstacles that are not easily overcome. Sometimes love isn’t always easy or simple.

Faithful is part of a series by SA Wolfe, but can be read as a stand alone. The story between Cooper and Imogene was definitely not predictable. The two faced ups and downs throughout the story. There were a few times that the verbiage in this story threw me. I paused at times to see if the story was taking place in the US or not. Oh well…..

Cooper and Imogene have an amazing circle of friends surrounding them. In fact, the supporting characters add so much to this story that you want to read more. I loved Cooper’s family, and would love to see more written about his siblings (spin-off series??)!! This is a great story that brings two people together on an unconventional journey towards romance.

This is my first book of S.A. Wolfe and the third book in the Fearsome series. It can be read as a standalone.

Let me start of by saying that I have a love/hate relationship with Imogene. I love that she is sassy, a ball buster and has no filter. Those are my kind of people! Her relationship with her family and her close friends is something that many people hope they can achieve. She has had her fair share of "wankers" when it comes to men so she puts up a very snarky defense wall in order to protect herself. I can respect that. Here is where the hate part of our relationship comes in. That defense wall is tough to break down and there were so many times that I just wanted to smack her and tell her to see what is going on. That is part of the push and pull of the story, which I actually like.

I just have a flat out love relationship with Cooper. He has his eye set on Imogene and doesn't back down. He works hard to try to tear down that snarky defense why she has set. He uses humor a lot to get her to see what is really going on.

" Sure. Whatever makes you happy, my little control freak."

Although all of the characters in this book are very close, I really like the relationship between Imogene and Lauren. Best friends that are somewhat polar opposites yet they balance each other. Both are loyal, funny and have huge hearts. Their interactions through the story was very well written. The determination that these girls have to get their jewelry business going is admirable. Unfortunately, it is a new business and they are struggling to make ends meet. Going through this journey with them shows us about determination and strength.

I was a beta reader for SA Wolfe, while she was writing this book I would get pieces of the story. I have to say I fell in LOVE Imogene and Cooper. I have read Fearsome and Freedom, the first two books that SA Wolfe has written, and I have to say HANDS DOWN this is my favorite of them all!!

I instantly felt connected to Imogene. She has this tough as nails exterior. She isn't afraid to say what she thinks. She holds nothing back. Imogene makes no apologies for her attitude. She has had to many bad relationships to count and doesn't want someone that wants her for her body, she wants them to want her for who she is. Imogene comes across as this badass, but in all reality she want what all of her friends are getting...love. She wants what all women want, and she won't take anything less. Imogene wants to be someone first thought not their second!

Cooper.....well Cooper is just sex on a Harley! He has noticed Imogene since he first came into town. He has wanted her just as long also. He can see that Imogene isn't as tough as she likes to come across. He see her as this ambitious woman. She is strong and independent. Imogene wants to do things for herself and doesn't want any help, but Cooper can't help himself. He wants this spit-fire in his life and in his bed and he won't stop until he gets her. You see their relationship start and you see their struggles. Because as much as they love each other Cooper still has his own secrets.

Like I said, this book was by far my FAVORITE. The way SA Wolfe has written these two is fantastic! I hate when her books end, because in this one, it felt like it was just beginning! I can not wait to read more from this author!

I received Faithful by S.A. Wolfe in an ARC in exchange for a honest review. I am giving this book 4 stars because I felt like in the beginning the story started off slow, but in the end I loved the book. What I loved most about this story is that one of the main characters is a strong woman who speaks her mind, and who is not trying to please anybody. But of course because she head strong and blunt men in her town can't handle her, but she don't care she feels like she rather be alone then to try to be someone else happy just so she doesn't end up alone. But because of all these losers who has came in her path she thinks all men are bad. Imogene has built a wall up to protect herself from getting hurt again. So when poor sexy hot ex FBI agent Cooper comes in to her life he doesn't stand a chance or does he not only is he hot but he also doesn't give up so easy. When Cooper sees Imogene for the first time he knows he going to have her and his never going to let her go, but unfortunately his going to have to deal with her being rude, and her just being impossible to deal with. But honestly he doesn't care because to him its worth it as long as the end results end up with her finally giving into him. But the real question is do they end up happy together? You have to read the book to find out because you won't be disappointed if you do. This story was a good simple read. I mean granted you have hit a couple of bumps in the road lol, but in the end what made this book real and such a good read was how real the characters seem, and how you could relate to them on some levels. And that's what I really enjoyed about this story.

How do you give a rating higher than 5? This book is a 5 PLUS PLUS! Faithful is an AWESOME book that had me eating up every page. I am in love with Imogene. Her sass and snark are so relatable. It was great to see that she owned her name and didn’t go by any cutesy nick name. I especially loved when Imogene was trying to get fired from the family business.

Imogene is an independent woman that has been through the merry-go-round of men that are just not right for her, or wankers as she would say. Imogene is trying to get her business off the ground with her best friend Lauren.

Cooper has come to town after quitting his high stress FBI job. Cooper has had his eye on Imogene for more than a year. Lauren would like to see Imogene and Cooper together but knows that she can’t force Imogene into a date.

I enjoyed Imogene and Cooper’s banter and how they seemed to get one another and be strong enough for each other. Imogene has some high defenses and Cooper is going to find a way around them.

Faithful is a stand alone in the series. I had not read the other books in the series and did not feel like I was left behind. The other people were briefly explained so that I was comfortable with them but for someone that already knows their story wouldn’t feel like they were rereading about them. I did have a duh moment at the end in regards to the title. I had such fun on this ride that I will be checking out the other books!

Imogene had her heart broke and she doesn’t want to go down that path again. She is an unapologetic, smart mouthed waitress but she wants more out of life. Cooper is a former FBI agent that doesn’t believe that marriages can last due to his family history.
When I received this copy to read and review, I had not read any of the other books in this series yet, so I read them quickly. I do have to say that I think I enjoyed this book more than the first two. You can read this as a standalone, however, it’s nice to get to know the other characters and learn their history before reading this one.
I was drawn in from the first chapter of this book because I kept wanting to see where the relationship between Imogene and Cooper was going to go, if anywhere at all. There were parts that made me literally laugh out loud and I love that in books that I read. This is a love story that has a lot of tug of war between the characters, but keeps you involved and wanting more. This is NOT an "over-the-top, this would never happen in real life" type of book. This story could truly happen in real life! I enjoy S.A. Wolfe's style of writing and can't "kcuffing" wait to read more of her books! :)

Fortunately for me I was able to get a copy from Netgalley for review. This whole series is beautiful with strong sensitive men and independent women. Each story covers a couple, each a standalone, and each one has the additional storyline of Lauren and Leo from beginning to end. This one is Cooper and Imogene, he's the burnout undercover FBI agent and she's the crafty small town waitress. He's been watching and yearning for her for over a year while she's nursing this hatred for all men and has this extremely sarcastic snarky personality. Cooper woos her in the most perfect ways and Imogene finally gets it. The relationship is tested after a major personal event in Cooper's family and Imogene sees the light. I'm pretty sure after each book I've said that one was my favorite but I can honestly say this one feels more like "the one." Cooper is the every man that every woman wants and Imogene's personality is more like me. Wonderful series and fantastic book, I wonder if we get more - maybe Cooper's brothers?

I loved SA Wolfe's other two books Fearsome and Freedom set in the same town with the same friends, but I loved Faithful. I started reading and didn't stop until I turned to the very last page of the book. Imogene is a girl with dreams and plans but she wants to stay put in this little town of Hera NY. She has dated lots of guys and none of that has gone too well for her always disappointed. She is working in her family diner creating jewelry during her down time with her best friend who she is sharing a house and rent with. For a year she has spent the past year trying to ignore Cooper who works for the Blackburn Brothers but was a former FBI agent. Cooper has a huge family back in New Jersey but he wants the quiet simple life of a small town. He spent the last year trying to get Imogene's attention. I love their relationship, heartbroken with Cooper's loss and loved the ending. Another awesome read by SA Wolfe thank you for another beautiful story!!

Faithful (Fearsome, #3) by S.A. Wolfe BY S.A. Wolfe

So I was instantly drawn into this book because of the description that was given of Imogen. She reminds me so much of me its actually scary. Hey quick wit and non filtered way of talking are definitely traits that I cary and don't hold back on at all. With that said I really enjoyed this book. Imogen was relatable and well Cooper was dreamy. But I loved that she started out as damaged in her own way and you see that he isn't as perfect as we think he is. He gets a grasp of whats damaged on him and he decides to take the right steps and have his own character development before he can feel like they can both be the best for each other. I loved it all and enjoyed it thoroughly! thank you for the opportunity to read this.

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous book!

I laughed so much at the thoughts and words Imogene said. Her character was a no holding back, speak before I think, and I don't give a kcuff! So hilarious! Best character out of this series. And that's saying a lot because when all the characters get together, I about pee in my pants at their comments to each other.

And I have to mention the kcuffing. You need to read the book to get that one. Wolfe, you HAVE to trademark that. Seriously!

Besides all the amazing humor, there was heartbreak and loss, and a stubborn, darn woman! Those parts were where tissues were handy. Poor Cooper. He goes through so much. :( Such a good guy.

Kcuffing perfect book. So original. Loved the kcuff out of the nicknames, the sweetness that is Cooper with all his impressive intentions was, well, impressive, and his talking to lady bits. Bwahahaha! That scene had me rolling on the floor laughing.
