A Dawn of Starlight
After a betrayal to rival all others by the one she loves, Soren is left with only one person who can drag her from death's Her unexpected soul tied, Niklas Bergström. Niklas bears too many secrets to count, but one, him being the cursed son of Odin, could finally be put to use. After hundreds of years of carefully avoiding each other, Niklas must confront his father and King of Ásegard, swimming the depths of The Well of All Knowing and making a perilous deal he cannot refuse to bring his Soul Tie back to him.
But accepting this bargain could bring even more darkness into the nine worlds no one expected. Soren, Niklas, Callum, Vana, Alexi, and the others will join forces, traveling through the realms to unravel the puzzle of how to save the nine worlds - and end Royal Seer Synnove and her Dreygur King's reign for good.
Battling darkness, love, lost friendships, and grief will push the allies to their breaking points.
Is devotion enough to keep them together? Or will the darkness pull them under?

YES, yes, yesss. what an amazing whirlwind of a book.
“If this was the only universe where we existed together, I would forsake all others.” ✨🌙❄️
I was lucky enough to be gifted this beautiful book as an
ARC, and I am endlessly grateful-because I swear, I WISH I could close my eyes at night and live in the middle of this story.. (after all the war and stuff ya know??)
Audriana's writing is breathtaking. She doesn't just tell a story-she totally invites you in, wraps you in this snowflake and stardust drenched world, and makes you feel EVERYTHING. Every chapter is dripping with tension, heart, and raw emotion. And then BOOM she drops surprise POV’s in your lap that you didn’t even know you needed.. and suddenly “miss communication trope” has you crying your eyes out. Trust me you’ll be clutching that kindle like your heart depends on it.
"Yes, I love you. I would destroy realms for you, sell my soul for you, forsake any lips that are not yours." 🤍
Niklas. This man breathes to protect her. He's tender, possessive in the most delicious way, and completely feral when it comes to keeping her safe. He gives me Rhys vibes in the BEST way possible. The soul tie they share?? Telepathic thoughts slipping between them, especially that accidental slip iykyk! “just-as-large-as-I-always-thought-it-would-be..” 🤭🤭
And omg don't even get me started on the nicknames. Baby girl. Darling. Mate. MY STAR. I was full on blushing every single time.
“I love you, between the dawn and starlight, I will love you,"
“I felt his mantra down the tie: My love, my love, mine.”
If you're a romantasy lover, this series has to be on your radar. If you haven't read book 1, The Midnight Throne, yet - PLEASE, pleaseee do! Let’s please talk all about it. 🤍
This book owns me. That’s all.
Now someone please hold me until book three.

Keeping her spoiler free in case you haven't read The Midnight Throne yet 🫶
"I was Queen of The Midnight Throne. Heir of Time. Daughter of Two Worlds. Soren of Many Names. And I would no longer cower. I would no longer be caged. I would be everything everyone feared I would be." 😮💨
MUAH MUAH MUAH 👩🍳💋 Chef's freaking kiss!!
Audriana is one of my favorite authors for a reason. Her writing style is EVERYTHING. So beautiful, so descriptive.
"He and I are very similar, you know.
We are selfish creatures, ready to damn the worlds in order to have you,"
The other couples storyline?? AGHHHH obsessed. Didn't know I needed it, and now I desperately need MORE!! It was woven into the main storyline flawlessly.
"For one hundred and sixty-seven years he searched for her." - EXCUSE YOU?? MY HEART. 😭😭😭

There’s no denying the ending of The Midnight Throne hurt, but I’m happy to report that this book patched me right back up. It healed all the wounds from the first book and was truly a beautiful addition to this story.
••”𝘔𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦”
Oh Niklas. There’s just 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 about a man that won’t even allow death to seperate him from the woman he loves, and Niklas does not disappoint. He knows when to rage and when to be patient and calm, and the way he takes care of Soren is real and beautiful. He’s the perfect balance of murderous and romantic and will have you smiling or melting, depending on his mood of course 😏
While the lush world building stays the same, the landscape really expands in this installment and I absolutely loved seeing stronger ties to Norse mythology. The lore blends into the story so well and really adds to the layers of the plot nicely. And along with some new settings, we also get some new pov’s, and a new relationship! You won’t be able to help but fall in love with all of these characters, and I really enjoyed getting so much more of all their backstories.
There’s plenty of rest and healing, but have no fear, there’s still lots of action and high stakes along with a few moments that made my heart drop to my knees. In true Audriana Christian form, the ending will leave you with your jaw on the floor. But, it’s not nearly as painful an ending this time… mostly.

I didn’t think I could be any more in love with these characters, but now I’m obsessed deeper than before.
Audriana blessed us with a few more POV’s and ANOTHER romantic storyline. I am weak 🫠💕
The romance to plot ration is perfection in this series! The high stakes will have you sat and eager to binge read.
So many revelations, SO much tension ❤️🔥🤌🏻
The ending almost sent me into orbit
If you love elements like:

💫Found family
✨Norse mythology

OUT NOW! 5 stars ⭐️
The story continues in the second installment of the Heir of Time series right where The Midnight Throne leaves off. And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t left speechless there at the end, literally sitting here with my mouth wide open. You absolutely didn’t need to rip my heart out like that Audriana. 😩😭😩 I cannnotttt wait to see where it goes after this because my heart is in SHAMBLES.
“𝓗𝓶𝓶𝓶. 𝓣𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮’𝓼 𝓶𝔂 𝓰𝓲𝓻𝓵. 𝓘 𝓱𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓷’𝓽 𝓼𝓮𝓮𝓷 𝓱𝓮𝓻 𝓲𝓷 𝓪𝔀𝓱𝓲𝓵𝓮.”
I’ll try to keep this review as spoiler free as possible because of book one. It was perfectly paced and beautifully written! This is one for my Norse mythology girlies but make it more romantasy than fantasy! I was pleasantly surprised to have gotten some of the back story into the side characters; Callum, Tiberius, Vana and Alexi, as absolutely heart breaking and gut wrenching as they were they were so needed. They brought such a new light to the book with their POVs and sides. Vana and Callum though, my loves my life’s. I wish I was in their friend group. 😭
“𝓔𝓷𝓳𝓸𝔂 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓵𝓪𝓼𝓽 𝓷𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝓹𝓮𝓪𝓬𝓮 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓺𝓾𝓲𝓮𝓽, 𝓫𝓮𝓬𝓪𝓾𝓼𝓮 𝓒𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓾𝓶 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓐𝓵𝓮𝔁𝓲 𝔀𝓸𝓷’𝓽 𝓼𝓱𝓾𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓪𝓫𝓼𝓸𝓵𝓾𝓽𝓮 𝓯𝓾𝓬𝓴 𝓾𝓹. 𝓨𝓸𝓾’𝓵𝓵 𝓷𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻 𝓰𝓮𝓽 𝓪 𝔀𝓲𝓷𝓴 𝓸𝓯 𝓼𝓵𝓮𝓮𝓹 𝓪𝓰𝓪𝓲𝓷 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓽𝓱𝓸𝓼𝓮 𝓽𝔀𝓸 𝓪𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓭.”
The worldbuilding is absolutely stunning in this one, it’s not too heavy but there’s a lot more going on in this one than the first. The FMC and the MMC are by far some of my favorite characters across all books and all genres. Our man is LOYAL, he sets the standard. Not only is this one just swoooooonworthy in the romance it is also 🌶️🌶️🥵

Another banger from Audriana Christian! I took my time with this one because I just did not want it to end. The depth of emotion Christian captures in A Dawn of Starlight is truly magnificent. Her character development is unparalleled, and I not only felt like these characters were my friends, I felt like I was them during their POVs. I loved the addition of Vana and Alexi’s POV’s as well as Callum’s. It goes without saying that I salivated over Niklas’ POV chapters since I’ve always been a Niklas stan, but I’ll say it anyway. The pacing of the book felt just right and the spice…lawdy was it was smokin hot. In true Audriana Christian fashion, she kept the twists and turns coming, and the end was no exception. I can’t freaking wait for book 3. I just know it’s going to be a wild ride.

Loves Book 2 even more than Book 1. Great for anyone who has been in soul destroying narcissistic and/or dominant relationships. I have been in both, and it is really great to see a healthyish mindset and relationship in a romantasy.

Talk about a page turner!!! Loved this book so much! Multiple POV which is refreshing to follow more than one story and enjoy it! The world building is like anything I’ve ever read and so enjoyable to follow and imagine!
Also that ending? 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This book was significantly better than the first. Phew. The layers to this story, the world building. I will be waiting for others to discover this series.

In my review of book one ( https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... ) I mentioned it was decent enough to hook me for this one, book two. Book two is not decent enough to draw me in for book three. Where should I begin...how about perhaps the editing markups sprinkled liberally through this book (and I checked multiple sites in case for some reason it was updated on one platform and not others. No, the struck out words are left behind in all the ones I checked.) You can see where her beta reader(s) if there are indeed any, or the editor caught words that were entirely extra and not necessary to the sentence structure and instead made it a little blockier than needed and crossed them out to be removed by her and/or her editor.
They were sadly not. One early on paragraph has two such struck out words within a sentence of one another. I believe there were a little over a dozen of such markups left. Then there's at least one area where the perspective of the main female character changes mid thought.
"I let myself drift to sleep as I searched every nook and cranny of herself for signs of darkness."
From I, to herself in one sentence. Really? There's plenty of other punctuation issues (no space between a '.' and the word after it. Instead the two of them mashed together in a few spots...) and in all it's distracting at least for me to read around the poor editing.
Or how about we touch on the fact there is thirty seven chapters and an epilogue...and no where does it differentiate which chapter belongs to which character and sometimes it's not easy to tell until you're part way through a chapter. Is this Soren's chapter? Maybe Niklaus's. No? Then maybe Callum, or Vana, or even Alexei. Who knows. But it sure would be helpful if under each chapter number there was a name.
What about the multiple storylines happening within the book. You have the main stuff with Soren/Niklaus then there's the back story being dumped on you through the entire book, sprinkled with Vana/Alexei's story, and now Callum/Tiberius and just...what a hot mess. So yes, if there's going to be multiple stories shoved into all these chapters at least knowing who's chapter and thus story it is would be rather helpful in my opinion.
All in all, I found the book very tedious to read through, and was actually dreading reading it. That's never a good sign from a voracious reader. So no, this book was not good enough to hook me for book three, or four or however many more are churned out.
I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest review.

I swear… This book was even better than its predecessor, and that one was already amazing. I was so so so excited to start the second book of this series and I was not disappointed. The plot, the characters, the romance, everything was immaculate.
I already talked about the FMC in my review for the previous book, so let me shed some light on the other side characters. Where the previous book was a dual POV, this one brings us additional POVs, making it even harder not to fall in love with every side character as we get to know them better. With all their personalities being completely different from each other, we really get a smorgasbord of characters, which keeps you entertained at all times no matter who’s POV it is.
We also know what additional POVs usually mean: MORE RELATIONSHIPS! And omg were these new romances so effin delicious. Where I usually find myself skimming the next chapters to see when I’ll get a POV from my favourite characters, in this book I was honestly giddy every time the POV changed because I genuinely loved every single one of them.
Now, this book also ends on a cliffhanger. Once again, I enjoy cliffhangers so this is not a negative point for me, but I do like to mention it since some people prefer to know this in advance. I also want to mention that this cliffhanger was insane. The previous book had a great cliffhanger but this one! I audibly gasped and then proceeded to say “what” about 7 times before I was able to close the book. Audriana, you are one plotting little genius and I can’t wait to see what else you come up with next.
I honestly don’t know what else to say to convince anyone reading this to pick up this book, apart from the fact that I got this as an ARC and still I went and bought both physical copies anyway because I just needed them for my collection. If you are reading this to help you make a decision, let me make it for you: get this book, and the first one of the series as well, right now — you will not be disappointed.

The second installment in the Heir of Time series continues to follow Soren’s journey in the aftermath of betrayal. As the characters inch closer to unraveling the prophecy that could save the nine worlds, romance weaves its way through the plot. Most of the main characters get their own POV chapters which helps expand the scope of the story.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Much like the first book, I really wanted to love this. The overarching storyline is compelling, and the lore is genuinely rich—you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the world building. Soren became more likeable in this installment, which mad a big difference for me. That said, the portrayal of the female characters sometimes fell flat for me; they seemed to cry at the drop of a hat, which undermined their emotional depth.
One of the highlights was the introduction of Vana’s romance arc. In fact, I found myself more invested in her storyline than in that of the main couple.
However, the reading experience was significantly hindered by inconsistent editing. There are numerous grammar issues, awkward sentence structures, and punctuation errors throughout. A recurring issue was the incorrect use of “drug” as the past tense of “drag,” which became increasingly distracting.
Additionally, there are several jarring shifts between first- and third-person narration. Some chapters are labeled with one character’s name, yet the POV clearly belongs to someone else. These inconsistencies pulled me out of the story more than once, forcing me to reread sections to make sense of what was happening.
There’s a strong foundation here, and I can see the potential in both the story and the world. With tighter editing and more consistent narration, this series could truly shine. As it stands, it’s an intriguing read weighed down by avoidable issues.

Audriana Christian has crafted an absolute masterpiece with A Dawn of Starlight. From the very first page, I was completely captivated by Soren's heartbreaking betrayal and the unexpected arrival of Niklas Bergström, her enigmatic and powerful soul tie. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions, packed with action, intrigue, and a love story that transcends realms.
Christian masterfully weaves together Norse mythology and a gripping plot, creating a world that feels both familiar and utterly unique. The characters are incredibly well-developed, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and secrets. Soren's journey of healing and self-discovery is incredibly compelling, and Niklas's internal struggle with his cursed heritage is both heartbreaking and inspiring. The supporting cast, including Callum, Vana, and Alexi, are equally memorable and contribute significantly to the overall narrative.
The high stakes plot kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The journey through the nine worlds is breathtaking, filled with perilous challenges and unexpected twists that left me gasping. The conflict with Synnove and her Dreygur King is intense and forces our heroes to confront their deepest fears and make unimaginable sacrifices.
What truly sets A Dawn of Starlight apart is the emotional depth. Christian explores themes of betrayal, forgiveness, love, loss, and the strength of friendship with remarkable sensitivity and nuance. The relationships between the characters are complex and beautifully portrayed, adding layers of richness and complexity to the story.
Prepare to be swept away by A Dawn of Starlight. It's a thrilling, emotional, and unforgettable read that will stay with you long after you turn the final page. I can't wait to see what Audriana Christian has in store next! Highly, highly recommended!

A Dawn of Starlight is book 2 in the Heir of Time series and picks up right where book 1 ended. Which is a blessing because that was a brutal ending 😮💨
I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel, especially because of all the swoony moments with Soren and Niklas. I was rooting for Niklas in book one and he met all my expectations and then some! I’m always a sucker for fated mates, I cannot deny it. I really love the world that Audriana created, the use of Norse mythology while also being in a modern environment is super unique. I also just love Norse mythology and the way she includes the lore in her own unique world was well done.
I do wish I had reread book 1 (but time 😭) because I did have a hard time following the plot and recalling some characters from book 1. I think a little more subtle reminders of what’s going on and who characters are woven throughout would have helped. But regardless, I was able to keep up enough and enjoyed the added POV chapters. I really liked getting Vana and Alexi’s story. And of course we get hit with another crazy cliffhanger that definitely leaves you wanting more! I’m so curious in where the story is going and what the end game is with a certain someone… 👀
Thank you to the author for the gifted eArc! I read this on KU though since I’m behind ❤️

A Dawn of Starlight, Book 2 in An Heir of Time series. This book started right where the first book ended, loved that I wasn’t left waiting for long after The Midnight Throne’s cliffhanger. Niklas and Soren had me on my toes! I just wasn’t sure how their dynamic would work out. Let me tell you l, it did not disappoint 👏
If you’re a fan of fated mates, found family and a bad ass FMC, then pick up this book! There is great world building and Norse mythology also.
This book gave the side characters their time to shine and I’m obsessed with Alexi and Vana! Meeting all the Gods was a fun time too. Oh and you’re left with yet another cliffhanger!
Read both The Midnight Throne and A Dawn of Starlight on Kindle Unlimited today!

I was so excited to read this one, and I'm glad it didn't disappoint!!
I loved the first!! I had such high hopes for this to be better, and, in my opinion, it was.
Everything about this book was amazing!
The writing was so good, and everything was well described.
I loved that we got to meet the characters in a more intimate way. I truly think the multiple POVs helped the story since many things were happening at the same time.
The only thing that I have to point out is the amount of spicy scenes... In my opinion, they were too many.
Anyways!!
I'm super excited to see what is going to happen in the next book.
I can't wait 🥰

Came in swinging! Dawn of Starlight book 2 in the Heir of Time series, dives right where book 1 left us reeling. Taking you right back to the moment betrayals and major fated decisions were made (Death by a thread). I wholly enjoyed this sequel, especially because of all the sweet Genuine moments of Soren and Niklas amongst the upheaval.
The plot flowed steadily, full of featuring intricate world-building with the character development giving a mix of intriguing characters, highlighting unique personalities of the Legends. Good and bad, friend or foe, soul-ties
Tethered or severed. The cliff hanger ending was kick arse…Soren came in wielding and I was here for it! So settle in and get comfy, it’s a journey.

The only reason this isn’t a 5 star read is because I just didn’t get that 5 star feeling at the end. IYKYK.
My Thoughts
I loved book two of the An Heir of Time series! I can’t wait for book 3.
This series is written in a way that just keeps you wanting more. I love the mix of romance and fantasy, I feel like neither is too much. They’re both perfectly balanced.
If you love Romantasy with magic, an MMC that would destroy the world for her, and an awesome found family then you’ll love this series.
Tropes:
Fated Mates, Forced Proximity, Multiple POV, LGBTQIA+ Rep, Fae, Seers, Witches & Gods
CW:

So I haven’t officially finished the book, but I’m almost there. I’m definitely one of those people who will cheat and look ahead to see what expect. Needless to say, as the story progressed and more tragedy occurred, I violated my well established no night crying rule!!! (The rule was established 6 years ago after the death of a family member, the migraine after crying most of the previous night was horrid, worse than my usual migraines)….
Anyway, getting back on track, the emotional attachment to each character and being invested in their wellbeing is what I consider the mark of a great book. One that I would read again and if it comes to audiobook (which I hope it does), I’d listen to it!
Again, aside from some occasional word use and grammar errors, they in no way detracted from the strength of the storytelling itself. I’m looking forward to seeing what future works AC comes out!
***Again, OMG!!!!!*** what an effing cliff hanger to end on!!!!

This series is devastatingly beautiful and addicting. I loved absolutely everything about this book! The plot twists and turns will shock you, and the love stories will embed themselves in your heart forever.
Soren and Niklas are on fire in this book, and I just ate every word up. And don't even get me started on the blossoming relationships in this book! I can not get enough of Vana and Alexi! I'm on my knees begging for more, please! I can't wait for what's to come in the Heir of Time series!

~Hours had flown by as we talked, drank, and gorged ourselves on food. We talked about what tomorrow would bring. What to expect of the Aunders, how we might navigate it.~
This felt like I was reading off a scroll… so magical. The sensitivity and betrayal portrayed in this work was incredible. Every character has a strength that shows through the pages and their weaknesses were shown to be very powerful as well. The challenges they go through are so thrilling!
Thank you booksirens for the arc!

This book. Oh my gods. Listen, the first was incredible and takes you through all of these harrowing twists and turns and it’s so intense. Well buckle up because A Dawn of Starlight ramps it up. This book is gorgeous. I refuse to spoil it so I’ll just say that the spice gets spicier and the relationships deepen and the povs broaden the scope of the story. The plot thickens and it is absolutely fantastic.

This series is so good. It’s so different than anything I have read as I’m still new to the Fantasy genre and I’m here for it.
Book two did not disappoint. Started off exactly where we left off in book one and just got better from there. I loved the multiple points of view this time around and getting more insight on more characters.
What to look forward to ✨
Dual POV
Dragon, Fae, goddess’ & gods
Touch her or die
Bonded mates

I love this series! And this was a great story! Great mix of plot and romance and adventure.
However, I was very confused at times with which PoV I was reading. The voices are similar. And the chapters aren’t label with names. I’d definitely suggest doing a reread of book 1 before reading book 2. I didn’t do a reread and I had a hard time remembering who everyone was and what their roles were. That’s was a bit distracting.

This was the second instalment of The Heir of Time series and I enjoyed this much more than the first. The Norse mythology is so interesting and Soren's struggle with the betrayal is well written. The romance between Niklas and Soren is swoonworthy as they discover they are soul tied and there is also the added romance of enemies to lovers between Soren's best friend Vana and Alexi. The fighting and intrigue between the Gods is amazing and I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Wow that ending!! I can’t believe it! I need the 3rd book like now!! Really enjoyed this book more because you got to know a little bit more background on some other characters, the different POV’s was also a nice change! Love the love story! And definitely the spice 🌶️ lol Can’t wait for the next one!

Oh. My. Goodness. What an ending to book 2. I need book 3 asap!
I love this series so much and book 2 was fantastic! I’m loving all the relationships and getting to see them unfold! I’m a little sad the wings didn’t come out more but maybe book 3 will have that 😉
If you are looking for your next read, I highly recommend this series!! 🖤
