The premise is good. The meat is good but too many outliers missing. Lacking background information on characters. We go from a friend at a wedding to fake dating. How close were these friends? What does the MFC do? Does she work? It doesn’t appear so, but we never now. Timelines consistencies are a problem, from large gaps time unreasonable periods.

A 10am coffee meeting lasts until early evening? Based on discussion I don’t think so. Maybe til noon at best. Transitions need to be handled better.

Even at 24, Ava has been the little sister the Bennett Brothers have been protecting, ever since their parents died a few years ago. Not trusting her to act like a grown up, they have sheltered her. Her oldest brother, Dean’s best friend growing up was named Liam, whom Ava pestered and flirted with through out her late teen years.
Dean, 10 years older than Ava, is a developer tycoon, worth Billions. He has been busy rebuilding his business portfolio ever since his ex girlfriend, Vanessa destroyed him both personally and professionally.
It seems Vanessa won’t stop until Liam, Ava and the Bennett brothers are all ruined.
This story includes blackmail, deceit, plot twists, a sense of family and responsibility. More importantly, there is passion, relationship building and suspense.
I think you will enjoy this book as much as I have.

This is a wonderful addition to The Forbidden Attraction Series where this story involves Ava and her older brother’s best friend Liam and all they get up to along their journey. This unexpected love occurs when a simple secretive kiss becomes a threat they never saw coming forcing them to become fake dating to minimize the fallout of their forbidden kiss. When the threats continue with harder consequences their relationship becomes more and something worth fighting for. Liam thought he would ever allow his heart to care or love another woman after his past. When Liam’s horrible ex shows herself to be a part of their problems their lives and those around them get pulled into this toxic situation. This game being forced onto Liam and Ava brings them together instead of apart with all the danger. Once the truth is revealed how they handled it will give them another opportunity at Love! Sinfully Yours had potential and starts out really strong. The chemistry between Liam and Ava hits quickly and convincingly, which sets things up nicely. Unfortunately, the rest of the story doesn’t follow suit.

The fake dating premise, tied to vague threatening messages, feels flimsy at best. It plays like a Lifetime thriller, but without the stakes to back it up. Liam’s “dark secret” and "his hiding something" is mentioned repeatedly throughout the book, only for it to be revealed that his ex tried to destroy his business by stealing from investors, inflating numbers, and trying to pin it all on him. That’s not a "dark secret" or as the synopsis puts it "a sin-stained past" at all.

Ava isn’t spared either—she makes a few questionable decisions, and oddly, we never learn what she actually does. There’s no mention of a job or career.

The bones of a solid romance are here—age gap, protective brothers, forbidden spark—but the execution lets it down.



The biggest letdown? The synopsis promises heat and danger—but the story doesn’t cash that check.

Lydia has done it again with this sizzler of an unexpected romance with danger thrown in this age gap story.
Ava loves her three brothers far too much to stop them from ruling her life until one of there friends Liam tells her to stand up to them.
It only takes one kiss to change her dislike of Liam to find him very attractive but he comes with a lot of baggage, an ex girlfriend.
Vanessa wants to ruin Liam for good this time and will use Ava to get it.
Even more now as it looks like Ava and Liam are in a relationship.
A truly great story packed with danger and a lot of loving for two people.

Ava the little sister who has been protected her whole life and Dean her older brothers best friend. The forbidden attraction between them was great. This had a great amount of passion, suspense and sense of family is top notch. This is my first read from this author and definitely will be back for more.

This book had so many holes and so many inconsistencies it was hard to read. Missing major back story on Liam. The fake dating thing made absolutely no sense on why it was needed. Then they said it wasn't fake like 100 times. During sex all she said was his name over and over. It was 10am in the morning and then 10pm at night a hour later. On the same page a gala was 2 weeks away and 2 days away. Did she work?

This romance book by Lydia should come with a WARNING label saying Don't start reading unless you have a clear schedule for the day. I was instantly hooked with the HOT hunk on the cover and get ready because Ava and Liam will blow you away with their fake dating and romance. Holy Moly this book is AAAMAZING.

I thought the book started off good, but it kind of dragged midway through. There is suspense in the book, but it just didn't really grab at me for some reason. I felt like some of it seemed unrealistic. However, I did enjoy the family dynamic. 3.5 stars
