Rain Shadow Book 4 of 5-- books should be read in order.
Dreygon Sharpe is more determined than ever to get Angel back to the Bedlam MC compound. Even if it means killing a few people along the way. Luke is willing to risk anything to keep Angel safe. And he soon discovers that sometimes rather than trying to outrun a madman, it's easier just to face him head on.
The Barringer Brothers Series Approximately 40,000 words.

Luke and Angel are spending time on his brother’s ranch regrouping and staying hidden from her grandfather's wrath. It is a time to recover from the horrors they have faced together in the last few months. Luke has arranged for her horse; Chance to be delivered to the ranch because he knows this will help Angel settle into her new life. There are so many things that Angel does not know about in the world away from the compound and club life. Her grandfather had kept her isolated, almost like a prisoner with almost no interaction with the world outside.
Luke finds himself becoming overprotective almost to the point of smothering Angel and she finally tells him to back off, that she will not be a prisoner again. He knows he needs to let her have more freedom but at the same time he cannot forget the anguish he felt when he lost her the first time. Danger surrounds them and he doesn’t know how to keep her safe and at the same time stay alive himself. It seems like her grandfather has contacts everywhere and there is nowhere that he can’t reach. When Angel receives a personal threat from her grandfather, they know their time is up! Will they survive this madman? Why is he so obsessed with getting Angel back?
Would I recommend this book: Yes! This book continues the love story of Luke and Angel. It grips you from the first page with the intensity of their love and the fear that is always right below the surface that they will be separated from each other again. Your emotions will feel like they are on a roller coaster ride with all of the ups and downs that take place in the book. A great read for those that love a steamy, hot love story!
Would I recommend this author: Yes! Tess Oliver never disappoints her readers and always gives her readers an exciting story to enjoy. Each book that I read makes me just want to read more by this remarkable author!

Rain Shadow Book 4 starts right where 3 left off. However now the stakes are getting higher and things are getting a lot more tense. Luke and Angel, along with Rico are staying At Luke's brother's house in Wyoming, while they attempt to keep Angel safe and for Rico to get well.
Gage Barringer, Luke's brother has always been different than the other brothers, and he wound up as a lumberjack, and he has a beautiful property in Wyoming. Angel loves it here and she feels free, but she and Rico both miss the club lifestyle and miss being home. While visiting a club in the area they run across a few club members from another club and realize the far reaching influence of Draygon Sharpe, Angel's grandfather, who has a heart full of hatred towards everyone, and revenge on his mind.
Things start heating up back in Nevada and Luke is forced to go back to help out and after something happens, he realizes they are missing something important and while sitting in his father's office gets an epiphany. Stay tuned to see what happens in the last book of Rain Shadow-the conclusion.
Will Angel ever get free from her grandfather, and will Angel find happiness with Luke? Will Cash and Rico survive Dreygon' wrath? Will Dreygon Sharpe be brought to justice? How many more people will be eliminated on both sides of the law? How did Dreygon find the leak in the department?
Watch as Tess Oliver twists and turns this plot yet again to shock us with not only all 4 of these books so far with things I did not see coming but in the last book! Tess has a great writing style and a writing style that keeps you totally concentrating on what you are reading from the first page to the last.
I give this book a 5***** star rating and can't wait to see how all this ends-I know it is going to be good and can't wait!
Book 4 in the Barringer Brothers series (Luke's story) told from alternating points of view between Angel and Luke. This installment of the story felt much much longer than the others - almost 2 hours on the Kindle whereas the first book was only about 120 pages. This story felt more of an in-between-er connecting all of the action from the previous stories to the final story coming up next. There was more character development in this one than action. I'm really glad Jericho continues to be with Angel and Luke and "on the good side." You also get to see Cash towards the end of this story. On one hand I liked the character development, but on the other hand since it was a longer story there were times it dragged with nothing really going on or moving the story ahead. What I liked best was anything with Gage in it. It looks like we're seeing the set up for his story and likely the heir/new owner of the bar in his town. Another granddaughter... I'm anxious to read the 5th and final part of this series and at least hoping to wrap up the grandfather and move on to another brother (GAGE!).
Rain Shadow Book 4 by Tess Oliver still finds Luke and Angel trying to find a way to get her grandfather out of their lives without losing their own. This book had me so far in its grasp that I found myself experiencing the same emotions as the characters. This is not a standalone novel, so you will want to read the first three books before starting this one or you will not understand what is going on. I like that at the end of the book, it leaves a little hint about a mystery look is going to try and solve. I give this book 5 stars. I am bouncing in my seat waiting impatiently for the next book to come out. I am dying to know how this story is going to play out and if Luke and Angel will ever get their HEA.
LOVING THIS SERIES!!! Tess Oliver keeps the action and suspense going in this installment. I'm committed to these characters. Tess writes beautifully. Looking forward to reading the final book in this series.

Jaymee's Review
4 Stars
Rain Shadow Book 4 by Tess Oliver is the fourth in a series that must be read in order. This series is packed full of action, mystery and romance and the fourth book is no exception. The first half is a little less action packed but our characters did deserve a little bit of peace and quiet after all they've been through! I loved Luke in the first three books but I'm going to be honest and say I wanted to kill him in this one. I understand his desire to protect Angel but she is the daughter of Dreygon Sharpe and she did grow up in an MC compound! She is far from a fragile little flower but Luke keeps making the same dumb mistakes, treating her like she is going to fall apart and hiding things from her. Fortunately Angel keeps proving him wrong and putting him in his place which made me love her more. She is one tough cookie and it seems as though nothing is going to bring her down. She faces each terrible situation head on and when most people would be hiding their head in the sand she continues to hold her own. I do love the relationship between her and Luke, when he's not being an idiot, they are so obviously in love and they having scorching hot chemistry and can't keep their hands off of each other.
Dreygon Sharpe is a character I seriously love to hate! He is so well created and the perfect villain for this series. He is devious, manipulative and brilliant but crazy. There is some major reason that he wants Angel back so badly and I'm dying to know what exactly is going on with him. Alot of crazy stuff goes on in this book which is no surprise but the ending absolutely blew my mind. It was the kind of ending that leaves your jaw hanging open and you can't do anything but stare at your kindle blankly while you attempt to process what the hell just happened. Hopefully Tess won't keep us waiting too long to find out what is in store for our characters!!
Storyline: love it! Female Character: Warrior, unbreakable Male Character: sweet but way over protective Author's Writing Style: creative, well developed Plot Twists: Holy Crap!! Laugh Factor: occasional Cry Factor: none Steam Factor: HOT Violence: some mentioned, nothing too graphic
This is book 4 in the Barringer Brothers series. It is not a stand alone. The storyline starts where book 3 ended. Such a smooth transition from one book to the next. It is also very helpful that the releases are close. No waiting forever for the next book. Each storyline is fresh. This 5 star storyline provides greater insight into the personal side of the characters. I enjoyed getting to read about them in a home/social setting. It allows for a greater insight into each one that returned from the previous books as well as new roles. You can also expect the drama, suspense, action, all those returning themes. There still is outstanding issues and questions that plague this story. A few answers and resolutions are reached---but don't plan on a happy neat bow at the end. Oh no!!! The greatest question of all is left dangling!!! Number 5 can't be released soon enough. A fun enjoyable read. Excellent writing and format. High recommendation of this book and series.. AndreaAH

I give this book a 5***** star rating and can't wait to see how all this ends-I know it is going to be good and can't wait!
What can I say about this series… I absolutely love it!! I mean…. Once you pick it up… You have a hard time putting it down!! (Just ask my husband & kids… They had to fend for themselves! Because I just couldn’t stop reading!) I just can’t believe we are almost at the end of this series!! I’m almost sad to see the 5th book come!! Because I love Luke & Angel so much!! I even want more Cash & Jericho!! (Hint! Hint! Tess Oliver…)
This book picks up right where it left off in book 3. Angel & Jericho are in Montana at Luke’s brother Gage’s ranch.
They seem to let their guard down being so far away from Nevada. Away from Dreygon! But of course it was all short lived when news comes in that someone died!! They were all shocked by the news! They all feel like they can’t go far enough away from Dreygon. Not matter what they do or where they go.. He will find them.
Now… Angel in this book was ok up until the grandfather found her. Then she just go on my nerves! The way she acted towards Luke was just plain stupid. I mean.. I think he’s proven to her time & time again that he would do anything to keep her safe & the people she loves which is Jericho….
Luke..Luke…Luke. I wish I had a Luke!…lol He would do anything for the people he loves!
We get a little different side of Jericho. & I hope he gets his own story…Cash too! I would love to know his story.
Towards the end of this book… The pieces are starting to come together & I can’t wait to to see what book 5 has in store for us!! And I can’t wait for Gage’s story too!!
I need more! I need more! I need more! I love this series! Luke and Angel have captured my soul and I cannot get enough of their story!
We continue where we left off in book 3. Besides the looming threat that they might be found, Luke, Angel, and Richo are pretty much living a normal life. Luke and Angel are as strong as ever. Luke is still very protective of Angel and it’s beginning to get on her nerves. She just wants a normal life now that she is free from the compound. Luke and Richo go racing at the old dirt track. Angel is helping Gage with the horse. Richo is flirting with the local girls. See? Normal everyday life.
Well that would make for a boring book and this is by far a boring book! We find out that Gunner is dead and Luke goes back to help out with the investigation despite him still be on leave from work. On that trip, Dreygon announces to Luke that he knows where they have been staying. When Luke returns, he keeps it from Angel still trying to protect her. When it all comes to surface, Angel goes off and their perfect world is in limbo. Where will they go next? Will Luke and Angel’s relationship survive? What is next for the trio in hiding? Read to find out!
I love this series. There are so many questions and puzzles to be answered and solved. Book 5 is next and the final installment of Luke and Angel. I’m excited to hear the rest of the story but will truly miss Luke and Angel once it’s over. If you haven’t started the series yet, I highly recommend you give it a chance! The books are well written and the story pulls you in easily and quickly! Go 1-click today!
Luke and Angel can't seem to be able to catch a break at all. They head to Montana with their friend Jericho into hiding from Angel's evil grandfather who wants to kill them. Right when they think the can breathe again, Angel's grandpa finds them. This story has so many twist and turns you never know what will happen next. You will be glue to your seat from the first page until the last. This is the fourth book in this series and everything of this series keeps you wanting more. The whole series is well thought out and the characters keep you guessing what they will do next. This is a must read series if you like action, romance, suspense and rebel biker guys. This author has an imagination that will keep you reading all her stories and I love all of them. Can't wait until the next book in this series. I need it now!!!
Merged review:
Luke and Angel are perfect for each other. In this book we see that they were meant to be together even before they even knew it. I love all the twist and turns in this story that has to offer. We get to find out what mystery is solved and see more of Luke's brothers. I even love Cash and Jericho. Finally Luke and Angel get a little break before more rough times hit them. Angel's grandfather is relentless in his evil ways until the end. We get a surprise at the finish of this story for Luke and especially Angel. What surprise is in store for these two? You must read this amazing story to find out. Love this whole series!!
As this is a serial, book starts right off from the end of book 3 - Luke and Angel, together with Jericho are now holed up in Wyoming with Gage, Luke's brother.
Book 4 felt a little more calm then the book 3, however, I feel that the slower pace of this was needed and it has only built up my anticipation for the climax in Book 5.
While saying that this book was slower paced, it certainly doesn't mean that this wasn't a page turner. Once again, there was plenty of action and suspense and the plot is coming together thick and fast. No spoilers but we have more of an insight into why Dreygon has been so keen to keep Angel underwraps.
We got to see more from the characters again in this book and once again, the chemistry between Luke and Angel was sizzling. I loved that we also got to see more from some of the supporting characters here too, in particular Gage and Jericho. I know Tess is planning on writing stories for both the other Barringer brothers, but I really hope we get one for Jerhico too or maybe we will see more form him in Gage's story. There certainly seemed to be a shy bartender that got his attention and I'd love to read more about this.
I can’t wait for the conclusion of the Rain Shadow series in book 5 - thankfully Tess has kept the gap between releases short.

I usually avoid cliffhanger and serial novels just because at the end, I am impatiently waiting for the next book. Thankfully, Tess Oliver doesn't make us wait too long with this series as the next book will be out in just a few weeks.
In book 4 of Rain Shadow, Luke, Angel and Jericho are staying in Montana at Luke's brother's home. While life on Gage's farm has been quiet and peaceful, they unfortunately can't get too comfortable, as Dreygon remains a constant threat. Luke and Angel continue to have amazing chemistry and the bond they have formed is unbreakable. Lots of steamy scenes with these two and honestly a love so true, they will probably be one of my all time favorite book couples. When forced to go back to Nevada, there is more action, drama and the suspense had me on the edge of my seat. Then the story concluded with a possible twist and I can't wait for it to unfold in the next book.
Thanks Tess Oliver for another great story, looking forward to the 5th and final book of the series. Love Jericho and I am really hoping that we get his story or at least he gets a HEA at some point in the follow up stories.
Provided with an ARC for an honest review.....so drum role.
Sputters at the ending !!!!! Gah, I soooo knew something juicy was gonna happen like that !!
Tess, you are literally killing me !!.
Okay, book 4 Angel and Luke are staying with Luke's brother Gage in Montana. Ah, if only life could be peaceful for them and they were left alone to be together. Nope, life's not that easy for them.....
Dreygon (Angel's mental case grandfather and head of the MC's) just wont give up. He really is on the war path in this book !!!. More suspense, action and nail biting all round.
At the end, we get an up front, smack you in the face idea as to why Dreygon wants Angel back in his clutches so bad. Not gonna happen dude with Luke on the case *sigh*.
I loved more of Jericho in this book and Gage *swoon boys* - down hormones. And I really liked the cute "one liners".
This book again has it all people. Smoldering passion, suspense and a "cliffy" that has you drooling for more.
Its 5 HOT stars from me.
Thank you Tess for the opportunity and bring on book 5 !!!!!
There are some characters that you want to meet. That you want to have coffee with. I can imagine sitting across from Luke and Angel enjoying deep conversations (she is very intelligent) and watching a deep love grow. This is the fourth book of a five series. And I have never wanted a series to end so much, not because it is bad, but because I am having a hard time waiting to read what happens. Lucky for me Tess Oliver is a quick writer. She doesn't make me wait long. There has been a lot of tragedy for Luke, Angel, and others. The way the story has been written, has me imagining that it is a true story. Each book has good, bad and ugly. The evil characters are described in such a way that I can't help but detest them. They need to go!!!. I want Luke and Angel to have a happy ever after. I need Luke and Angel to have a happy ever after. Thankfully I don't have to wait a year for the conclusion. Even better there is a spin-off, Gage, as story of Luke's brother. I see a new book boy friend in my future.
Even though Luke & Angle are far away from Dreygon in Montana, they fear they'll never be able to escape him. When bodies of club members start showing up. Luke knows this is Dreygons way of drawing Angle back in. He's showing her if she stays away, people will get hurt. Luke is more determined then ever to keep Angle safe and bring this bastard down. With the help of his brother Gage, there friends Jericho and Cash, Luke is prepared to keep Angle out of sight of Dreygon and safe. But Angle is sick of the consent hiding, and looking over her shoulder every where she goes. She wants to live her life. She's finally free from the compond, and she has plans. School, a job, being with Reno, without fearing a attack from someone. With no real evidence to bring Dreygon down. Luke must stay on top of him at all times. He's eventually gonna slip up. And when he does Luke will be ready. Suspenseful & sexy, book 4 is just as every bit as awesome as the other three.
Even though this book was slower in pace, it was just as good as the others. I loved that we got to read the relationship between Luke and Angel blossoming and growing stronger. Their time on the ranch with Gage and Richo was a much needed change of pace. And getting to know Gage better wasn't a chore either! I am glad Richo had someone there for him too, after his "big brother" Cash is away. And will we see more of Friday - I hope so.
Of course, all good things come to an end, and they have to leave the ranch and head back to Reno. Luke is called back to work and the sooner he can get Dreygon behind bars, the better. Luke and Angel get some alone time at his house, but sharing a bath together is triggering some alarm bells for him. Has he finally got something on Dreygon?
Some would call this book a filler in, I would call it a setter up. All of it was needed to help bring this baby to an amazing finish. The mystery is unravelling perfectly.
I received a copy for an honest review. Review for JoandIsaLoveBooks Blog.
The journey keeps getting better, I cannot wait to read the last book in the Rain Shadow series book 5. In book #4 the story continues as Luke and Angel get away from Nevada in order to keep Angel safe from her sadistic grandfather Dreygon. As with the other books her grandfather, president of the motorcycle gang is ruthless as ever, but always carefully getting rid of any tracks to keep himself clean. He is getting more ruthless trying to get Angel back under his control! Meanwhile Luke is overly protective of Angel and doesn't want to lose her at any cost. Things are still as hot as ever between Luke and Angel. Slowly things are starting to click into place about the secret that Dreygon is keeping regarding Angel and I think Luke is going to be the one to figure it all out. I hope that the next book puts an end to the crazy and Luke, Angel, and Jericho can all move on with their lives! Great writing once again Tess!
Luke he has no qualms for his actions over his woman, I mean he does give her reasoning, "I'm sorry, Angel. I don't mean to be so obsessive, but I-I can't stand the thought of ever losing you. Being with you has made me crazy with greed. I don't want to share you with anyone. I don't want to share you with the world. I want you all to myself." Now some of us may think 'cautionary sign for a psycho right there' but if you've read all the other books in this series then you know that's actual pretty hot and sweet for Luke to say. Luke he doesn't mind doing some girly things as long as his woman is involved and perhaps naked, "I stepped into the bath and giggled as tufts of bubbles floated up like soapy clouds. "I might have overdone the bubble bath." He sat behind me and pulled me between his legs." This one was my favorite out of the series (yes I've already read book five and this one holds the honor of being my fave.)
In part 4 of a 5 part Novella the story continues, Angel, Luke and Jericho are now all together and hiding out at Gage's range. For a while life settles down and everyone can breathe but only for a little while. Members of the Bedlam MC start to show up dead, the main suspect being Dreygon Sharpe, putting everyone back on high alert. Luke starts to digging into Angels background questioning who she really is, it's all set up nicely for an explosive part 5 ! Once again I devoured this book as soon as it hit my kindle, I could resist my Luke Barringer fix. I was on the edge on my kindle as danger lurks around every corner. The chemistry between Angel and Luke sizzle your kindle, there's a little light relief with Jericho and his one liners. I'm really excited for the concluding part but envoy and sad, I've grown to love these characters.
ARC provided by the Author in return for an honest review
I love how the start of the book you get to see Luke and Angel having some down time with Jericho and Gage and getting to know them without all the danger surrounding them.
But that’s not to say that there wasn't a lot of things happening in Rain Shadow book 4.
There was plenty of action and suspense throughout this book and a few more hints at the end about the big secret that Angels Grandfather has been keeping and I am even more sure that I have it worked out and can’t wait to find out for sure
This series has really hooked me there is a bit of everything suspense, drama, hot sex and so much more
Can’t wait for book 5 to wrap up the Rain Shadow series and hopefully there will be more of the Barringer brothers to come
In the forth book of rain shadows Luke and Angel hide out at Gage's house in Montana . I got to know Jericho a little better and swoon he was so sweet and down on his self so I felt really bad for him. I would also like to read more about Gage so hopefully he gets his own book!! There was some great steamy scenes that I love and the bear scene had my heart pumping the I laughed so hard at the end!! I liked the growth between Luke and Angel and it was nice to see them have a relationship outside of the compound. The last chapter in the book was a mind blower for me and made certain things click for me!! So looking forward to book five. But not looking forward to the end!!! Must read series!!!
I received a copy for review. Must read the previous books, not a stand alone.
With the three living in Montana far from Dreygon they start to become a cohesive group, routines and the horses keep their minds on happier things. Luke is called back to Reno with murders, threats and drug runs times are as dangerous as ever. But, Luke's brain is working overtime on why Dreygon wants Angel back so desperately. One more book, will everything come together and give our love birds their happy ending?
Have really enjoyed this fast ride of action, suspense, and mystery. Some serials repeat the story a little to catch you up, not this series. It flows smoothly and the characters are unforgettable anyway there's no need to remind the readers.
Every book brings even more danger into the mix! I really like this book. Again, this volume is my favorite. Every new volume becomes my new favorite. I really liked this one! He finally is getting close to the secret that I suspected in Volume 3. This one has even more violence and mayhem. We also get more in depth look at the families of our hero and heroine, which I love because I am hoping they get their own books. The side story with our favorite redeemable MC member was also lovely. I really love that best friend. He is just adorable (which I am sure would not go over well if he was ya know REAL).
Really excited to see how everything ends in VOLUME 5!
The 4th volume of Rain Shadow has a bit of a slower pace to it, but not in a bad way. We get to see a more positive dynamic between some of our favorite characters. I enjoyed the lighter feel of this volume due to the addition of Gage, so we are able to see Luke’s relationship with him and also how Jericho responds to a positive male role model. Though this volume was not as action-intense as the earlier entries, a new twist to the overarching mystery of the series was introduced to the end to ensure readers stick it out to the end of the series. I am interested in all of Angel’s background finally being revealed so that we can learn why Dreygon is just so darn interested in getting her back!
