My DNA was never supposed to be a weapon. Now it might be the only thing that can save us.
I finally know the truth—Sterling’s formula doesn’t just rewrite designation markers. It weaponizes them. And unless my pack and I destroy it, Roman Sterling’s twisted vision will go global.
We’ve infiltrated Aurora Facility with one goal, stop distribution before it’s too late. But between shifting allegiances and impossible odds, survival is anything but guaranteed. Ryker leads like a soldier but loves like an alpha. Jinx walks the knife’s edge between chaos and devotion. Finn’s body is breaking, but his mind is still our sharpest weapon. Theo’s heat is approaching fast—and with it, a bond that could unravel us all or make us unbreakable.
This mission isn’t just about taking down my father. It’s about who we become when the war ends—if it ever does. Because love forged under fire still burns. And pack is more than blood—it’s choice.
The formula says what we are. But only we decide who we become.
This is the 4th and Final book in Cayenne's Sugar & Spice SeriesWhy Choose, Fast Burn, Forced Proximity, Broken Hero, Frenemies-to-Lovers, & Adrenaline JunkieLove Fast Paced Action and Adventure with some spice? Then you will love Reckless.
The conclusion of Cayenne, Jinx, Theo, Finn and Ryker. Mona and Alexander and what they really mean to Cayenne. What is family? How do we know what a family is? The trials and tribulations that all people go through makes each of them unique. Sterling, father of Cayenne, Mona and Alexander who is trying to make the world his plaything and how they were never a family. The bonus scene is wonderful and makes the complete series. Love this author.
I enjoyed Cayenne's story. This was the 4th and final book. Cayenne and her pack got the ending the deserved, but not without a bit of heartache. This one was action packed from the get go and too many people were hanging in the balance for my liking, but all was well eventually. Overall, great series!
Thoughts: A stunning conclusion to this high action, high spice final book in the Reckless series. The fast pace of this final book ratchets up the tension and with it the feeling of a ticking countdown clock. Theos heat arrives, so this book was a lot more graphic than the others and we get a whole bunch of group scenes. I loved the juxtaposition between Sterling’s forced biological and genetic manipulation and the found family of a healthy pack with different designations. The book rounds off with the aftermath of the final battle and the pack settling in with love and passion, and starting to plan their future.
On the whole, this series, now complete in four parts, is stunning, fast paced with tons of suspense and lots of steam. Poppy wields an eloquent use of language and paints the different POVs in different personalized language giving each perspective a spin. I totally recommend this series for lovers of action, spice and fantastical contemporary style romance.

Although overall this was a good book or I should say a good series cuz I've been reading since the beginning there was some major errors. Like when they were leaving the Aurora facility and Cayenne was basically carrying Finn he had lost consciousness right before they made contact with the rest of their pack and quinn. It stated that Jinx ran up and grabbed him from her and that they left out of the facility. But then the very next chapter it still has Cayenne and Finn making their way to the extraction point and it has him still conscious and giving directions then it has Jinx helping him walk out and putting him in medical transport. Another major mess up was when Cayenne and Mona we're having girls night with Cayenne's friends Roman was brought up and it was said that his body had been recovered. Then later on in the book when they're in California they stated several times that the body was never recovered and that they did not know for sure if he was deceased.

What an amazing conclusion to Cayenne's story. This entire series has been outstanding, and I've loved every minute of it.
Seeing each pack member slowly and beautifully adapt to the changes in all of them and their pack dynamic is sweet and awe-inspiring. Cayenne said it early on in this book in regards to how the pack affects her.
"It's terrifying....Having people see all of your broken pieces and staying anyway. It's like having a safety net you never asked for but suddenly can't live without".
This, all the drama, angst, pain, broken and unusual family dynamics, is all neatly tidied up in this final instalment. In saying that, I really, like really, really want Mona's story. I suspect that between the chaos and hilarity would be an amazing story.
Reckless Consequences is the final book in the Sugar and Spice series by Poppy Carter. This is the final showdown with the Cayenne’s father. Cay and her pack are fighting to save all betas worldwide. Finn is undergoing his change from the injection, but we don’t know what will be left when the transformation is complete. Other members of the pack are also undergoing transformations as the pack grows closer together and starts to look beyond this fight. We get a nice look at life after the battle for the pack. This was a great series that I will revisit and watch for the next series in this world.
Overall, I enjoyed the storyline. However, there was a part that contradicted what was said in the previous chapter. It was regarding the escape. One minute Finn is unconscious and the pack is in the vehicles and leaving the facility, and in the very next chapter, they are still in the facility and Finn is speaking. Talk about confusing. Then later in the book, everyone knows Roman died, but Ryker says no one knows what happened to him. These inconsistencies are infuriating.

This is an excellent conclusion to a great series. I love how all of the threads wove together so we finally find out what happened to Cayenne, Ryker, Jinx, Theo and Finn. Thank goodness since Finn wasn’t in a good place at the end of book three. I love how they have grown together as a pack and how they need each other to end the battle. This is an emotional story, that resonates emotion, romance and love. This is a great read. 5 stars!
★”He never accounted for pack. And that will be his ultimate miscalculation.”★
The action is nonstop in this final installment, when timing is everything, and every second of their careful planning will count as they gear up to fight in the biggest round yet. Exciting and thrilling as we see them reach their well-deserved HEA, as the pack they were destined to be. Loved this series - Looking forward to more reads from this author!
Reckless Consequences is the 4th book and the conclusion of the Sugar & Spice series. Family becomes a major factor in this book and not all of them are good. I loved Mona's sadistically clever way of thinking even if she was a nutcase but I kinda like that about her. Her one liners and bloodthirstiness was a source of laughs. So much was thrown into this last book. Great plot twists, fast paced action, a few sad parts but an overall killer ending to a great series.
This book was the fourth and final book in the Sugar and Spice Saga. We left off book three with Mona and Cayenne being separated from the rest of the pack as they ran.
We pick up with this book with Mona and Cayenne being tracked through their DNA so they can't go directly to the pack to get Finn the antivirus. Finally Cayenne and Mona split off from each other. Mona goes to make more antivirus and Cayenne heads back to her pack just in time to save Finn and join in on Theo's heat. But now they need to stop her father Roman Sterling. Can they work together to bring down Sterling? Do they have surprise help from unexpected people? Is the pack finally happy? What happens to Mona?
Loved this series and I can't wait for the next series to come out. I look forward to seeing these characters again in other series. Great world and character creation and development. It was a little slow but all in all it was a good book and series.
