Needs edited, also don't like grumpy ex

There's a lot of grammar/unfinished-sentences/this-sentence-makes-no-sense mistakes. And continuity errors.
And the main male character doesn't have any likeable characteristics. I got mostly through the book, then couldn't take any more of it.

I love a great hockey romance and when it includes a secret baby, that is just icing on the cake.

For childhood sweethearts, there is an awful amount of anger between Autumn and Finn. Mostly due to to miscommunication. When Finn went off to play professional hockey, he was trying to get away from his drunken and abusive father. He didn't realize he was also leaving his pregnant girlfriend.

Now Finn's father is dead. Finn is back in town to sell his father's house, and leave all of the horrible memories behind. However, Autumn has a request, in order to start her pumpkin/apple tourist business. Wonder how Finn will respond?

When professional NHL goalie Finn Anderson returns home for his Dad's funeral, he is filled with anger, hurt, self-loathing and good riddance. Finn truly could care less. He didn't have a good relationship with his Dad. He is filled with so much venom, hate, a coldness that even I didn't know how to feel about him.😬 Yeppers! This guy is mean. Beyond grumpy. And when he sees Autumn McDowell, his distant best friend's sister, the one good person that treated him well and supported him back then, it brought up more ugly discomfort. Finn broke her heart 7yrs prior, walked away from her without a second thought, to pursue his hockey career dream. This was the swift kick to the pants I hoped he would get to bring him back down and ground him on earth. This man needs some serious heart healing. She wants to buy his childhood home. Finn says yes and walks away. Hoping to never see her again. Riiiight. The reckoning has arrived Finn.🙈 Here we go!

Autumn. Good grief. That woman has been through it. Seeing Finn is breaking her heart all over again. The anger is there. Pity. Annoyance. Finn treats her like garbage. Oh yeah. No shame. He blocked her number when he left her 7yrs ago, but Autumn never knew that. Not even when she reached out to him when she found out she was pregnant. She had just lost her Mom. Her big brother Eli tried to help but he wanted to know who the Father was. She never told him. And now she's trying to buy her son's family home. To salvage it for a town and tourist attraction. Seeing Finn is bringing up too much pain. Especially in relation to her 6yr old son Micah. But she stood up to Finn and spoke her mind. Now he wants to... try again?! Surprise!! Is he for real?🫢

Ms Storm has certainly created an emotional, raw, look at first love and the pain that life and people can cause to change one's perception about themselves and the path they might be on. Finn is no prince charming. He's flawed and he knows it. But he never once looked beyond himself to see how his decisions could affect Autumn. All she did was love him. But he saw it as holding him back. A hindrance. And now, with time, maturity, and news of having a son, and also having Eli knock some sense into him💥👊🏻💥; Finn has realized some important things about who he is and what he needs in his life. Can he win back Autumn's trust and heart? To be the man she deserves? And to be a Dad to young Micah? This was a good book. Well developed characters with flaws. Intense feelings. Sad. Sexy. There's spice and steam.💋❤️‍🔥💋❤️‍🔥 Funny too. Poor John Hamilton and the float parade debacle.😄😄 I wish there had been a little more interactions with her friend Bailey and Micah. I do recommend. If you like sports romance, you'll enjoy this hockey romance. Finn is Autumn's brother's best friend and a big hockey star. She had a crush on him years ago, and they shared some steamy nights before the left for the big times. He's back in town to sell his family home after his drunken and evil father's death. He has no clue that she was pregnant when he left, and she had no clue that the message she left was on someone else's phone. Plenty of drama and regret as they were each other's first and only love. What happens when he finds out about his son? How does her brother react when he finds out? Does he sell or give her his family home? Why does he help repair the house and barn? This was an emotional story about lost love and second chances. Once you start reading, you'll find it hard to put down. Promises made, promises kept. An HEA and no cliffhanger. Finn ran from his home town to get as far away from his alcoholic father as he could and threw all his energy into building his career. His one regret was leaving Autumn behind, the only woman he ever loved. Forced to return to sell his family home after the death of his father he comes face to face with her. He managed to leave once but will he be able to do it again, especially when he learns about his son?

Autumn only ever loved one man, so when he left he broke her heart. Now he's back and saying he wants a second chance, but can she really trust him not to hurt her again?

A wonderful steamy romance full of secrets, misunderstandings, remorse, angst, passion and a chance to build a future together. Another fabulous story from this author.

I absolutely loved reading Autumn and Finn’s story. It is a secret child/ brother’s best friend romance.

Finn broke Autumn’s heart years ago when he left town to pursue his dreams in the NHL. When he arrives back in town for his father’s funeral, it seems like their love never stopped. Will he give up his career or can they make a compromise?

This book has some steamy moments and is very fast paced. It gave me all the feels and was beautifully written. I loved the characters and their epilogue but would have loved another one for a couple more years time. I would definitely recommend this book and can’t wait to read more soon.

Second chance for the Ice Hockey pro

This is a heartwarming story of love, with fast-paced action, tension, drama, romance, misunderstandings, heartbreak, regrets, secrets and friendship.

Autumn had helped Finn with his studies when they were at college and an attraction had grown, but when he left to go pro with the NHL, and get away from his dad, he broke her heart. When he returns years later to clear his father's house they reconnect but she's got a secret and doesn't know if she can trust him enough to give him a second chance.

OMG this was great book. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. It was addicted and it was a mind blowing of an heartwarming romance. Finn came home due to the lose of his father passing. Until he meet Autumn that day. It was spicy and sizzling as they were physical attraction and the chemistry between them was off the charts. Holy hotness this book is absolutely fantastic and will definitely have you hooked from the beginning until the end and falling in love with Finn and Autumn. It's best friends sister taboo and surprise child and so much more. Finn is back in hometown after the death of his father but when he sees the only woman he has ever loved again will he disappear on her again? Or will he finally get a shock that will have him changing everything in his life? Great story with all the right feels and so much more.

Finn's mother died, his dad started drinking, and his home life declined. Eli, Autumn, and their mom became his support system. After high school, Finn left, became a successful hockey player, and returned to Chandler to take care of his father's property. He ran into Autumn and realized he still loved her. When Finn finds out he left Autumn pregnant, he decides never to leave Autumn, and his son, again. This story has plenty of small-town drama, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Overall not a bad read, but needed more!

The book draws you in from the start. The trust issues with both characters plays out just right. Huge issue with no dialogue at all when he finally meets his son Micah. Like nothing! The only time you ever hear from Micah is at the very end. Those lack of exchanges ruined the book for me. Not sure why Micah meeting his father was left out, much less every interaction between the two. If you read the book, you will definitely ask yourself the same question.

Well written story and well developed characters. Those are the most important items in a book to me.
Finn has grown up emotionally and physically abused. He can't wait to leave this town. His girlfriend is trying to change his mind. On the day before he leaves, she gives him her V card but he leaves anyway. Unknowing that he left her with a baby!.

This is Book 3 in the Plum Island Bay Lovers Series by this author. It is a second chance romance between Autumn and her brother's best friend, Finn. These flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. Once they reconnect, it is a bumpy ride with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An emotional journey.

Great hockey read

He doesn’t have a good relationship with his father so his dream is to go to the NHL. He lets her know he is leaving. They break up and he leaves. She gets pregnant and tries to let him know. He changed his number and doesn’t get the message. After learning about the misunderstanding and learning forgiveness. They rebuild their relationship.

Emotional Road to Redemption

When Finn and Autumn are reunited, she is looking to buy his childhood home for the sake of her son. Their story is one of disappointment, heartache and a chance for redemption. Complex character development and storyline made this a great read.

Fun

This story is fun and so good. With a side of steamy. The way that autumn and Finn fight each other just make it so much fun to read.
