I’m a human-turned-shifter. And can't control my wolf. Now I’m stuck living and working with the Ironfang Alpha. A grumpy, stubborn shifter who’s also my fated mate.
I ‘m an accident—caught between wolves and hunters. Now I can’t control my shifts—or my anger. I ended up in Ironfang lands. With him. Alpha Grant, 15 years my senior, grumpy and sexy as hell.
I was supposed to learn control. Instead, I’m losing my mind when he’s near.
The second he touched me, I lost all restraints. My wolf was not the only one craving him. Being with him calmed the storm inside me.
He tells me I’m his second chance at love. But, I didn’t ask for this bond. To be his fated mate. And when I found out, I ran—straight into a hunter’s trap.
Now I’m bleeding in the woods, barely holding on. And all I want… Is for him to find me before someone else does.
I'm a huge fan of shifter stories and believe me, I've read quite a few. This one intrigued me because the FMC is a human turned shifter, which is something you don't read about in this genre (i've read maybe less than five).
Grant is the alpha of the IronFang pack, but he's not your typical thundering grumpy alpha - in fact, he's very caring of his pack - it's just that he doesn't care to have a mate (he was married before and she left him). And it isn't until he meets Leena that the lines begin to blur.
Are the feelings he's experiencing for Leena those of a mate bond? Leena is newly turned and is trying to control her wolf, so the idea of fated mates is just foreign to her. And on top of that, they now they have to worry about a band of hunters set out to exterminate shifters.
This was a short, fast paced novel that I wish I could read again for the first time. Definitely recommend!
Grant is the Alpha of the IronFang pack and is not interested in a mate. Leena is a recently turned human struggling with managing her wolf. But when Leena is sent to his pack, he feels something for her and wonders if it could be a mate bond between them. They are also trying to deal with Hunters who are out to kill off the shifters. All of these things put a strain on Leena as she tries to deal with her new life. But being near the Ironfang Alpha to learn control, however, makes things more difficult for both her and her wolf. She craves him when he is near her. Will it be too difficult for them to work on Leena’s control, the feelings occurring between them, and the danger from the Hunters? Will Grant finally give in to acknowledging their mate bond and give her the HEA she needs to enjoy her new life? Or will she panic and run right into danger with the Hunters?
This is a steadily moving book. It kept my attention easily throughout. The plot is definitely there. The book is about more than just sex. The sex is a large part of the book, but the plot overwhelms it easily.
The main characters are very well written and likable. All the characters that you meet, besides the hunters, are super nice and friendly. They go out of the way to help out
The hunters, on the other hand, make you so very angry. The first time the hunters showed up, all I could think of was that the hunters need the same thing done to them.
The book is very good. The wording flows, easily making reading very easy. The love and fight scenes are written splendidly. The way they are written leaves everything to the imagination.
It's definitely a book i will be keeping on my shelves.
After Leena is turned, she tries to deny her changes. I understand her anger. Her life is changed completely in a way she didn’t choose. But I still wanted to shake her and tell her to grow up and deal with it! Grant wasn’t such a prize either. Yes, he was a strong and generally benevolent alpha, but he also had his head in the sand - both about how to get Leena to accept her wolf-hood and in accepting and welcoming that he had a fated mate! Rather than showing Leena the boundaries of pack land, he let her run. Instead of giving her structure, both as his assistant and potential mate, he gave her nothing or ignored her until he couldn’t avoid her. I found the writing a bit juvenile.

If you love shifter books like me you will love this spicy shifter book. This book was a joy to read. We follow Leena our fmc who gets turned into a werewolf and was left for dead by hunters. After being turned she is having a hard time adjusting to her new life. She is then sent over to an experienced older alpha named Grant (our mmc)that is better suited to help her. Grant will stop at nothing to protect the pack and those on his land. There is just one problem, the hunters are killing shifters and they are getting closer. The author did a wonderful job at character and world building. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading this authors other books.
Grant and Leena. Shes humanj. Turned shifter. With a fated mate. That interfers with her control over her wolf. She runs. Into a hunter trap. Left for dead. He's the alpha of the Ironfang. -This story takes place in a confusing story of wolf shifters, hunters, mates, and danger. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.
Leena’s unwanted transformation to shifter leads to chaos, denial, and one very frustrating yet handsome alpha. Grant may be strong, but his blind spots nearly cost him his fated mate. Packed with tension, stubbornness, and slow-burning connection, their journey is rocky and confusing.
Twists, growth, and fate collide in this emotional, fiery shifter romance.
All the feels second chances, fated love, and a growly alpha you'll fall for!
This book was everything I wanted in a shifter romance. The grumpy alpha? Perfectly broody. The second chance storyline? So emotional and satisfying. The chemistry between the main characters was undeniable, and I loved watching their relationship unfold with all the passion, angst, and healing that comes with true love.
Will definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance with heart, heat, and a touch of wild. Can’t wait to dive into more from the Ironfang Shifters series!
Leena is turned as a result of being caught between wolves and hunters. She can't control her wolf and has a lot of pent-up anger and if that isn't enough Grant who is the alpha happens to be her fated mate as well. There is a lot of twists and turns that this story takes before Leena and Grant finds their way together.

This was my first read from this author. I did think the story line was good. The plot was really good. I like the twist of her being turned by a bite. I liked the corporate wolves vibe. I felt like the characters could have been a little more complex, more descriptive, more emotions. There seemed to be no build up or sense of urgency, danger for the hunter scenes. Some parts were a struggle to get through. I will definitely be reading more of the authors book.
This series has been really good and this book continues the trend. I am so glad that Grant got his own book and it might be my favorite. Grant needed to find his happy ending. He is such a complex character. Leena broke my heart. I was in tears at certain points. I love how they became what each other needed. I definitely recommend this book! I could not put it down.
Newly turned shifter, Leena finds herself acclimating at a slower pace than most. This was an interesting start to this story, and her initial interaction with Grant created an aura of tension waiting to explode. It was enjoyable despite the frustration building between characters.

Arc review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really enjoyed this story because it show that even though leena life took a different direction ,she found a new way . I like when books give us messages like this
Though, he isn't so grumpy, the plot is still good and the spice is too. The dynamic between Alpha Grant and newly shifter Leena is well played out even though the book does seem to have a rushed feeling about it. Sometimes the time slips are unclear but all in all it is a nice read! (ARC)
In this series, I was really hoping to have a story about Grant. And this did not disappoint. Now I need more. What about Olivia? What about Cora and all the others that work in the pack house?
I started this book and I couldn't look away until I couldn't turn the page anynore!!! I loved this book and how I couldn't stop turning through the pages fast enough!
I enjoyed her grumpy alpha mate which was Grant and Leena’s story. It was an entertaining read. I received a copy of the book. And voluntarily leaving this review.
