Bondage Bites is a wonderful selection of very short stories with a BDSM bent. I think the longest is seven pages, the shortest less than one. The authors selected are top-notch and even if I don’t particularly enjoy the subject matter of a particular story, I can enjoy the writing.
Some of my favorites in this selection are:
Minute to Minute, where a woman is trying to quit smoking and finds it’s much easier with a little help from her husband. When he finds her huddled and shaking in a corner, he offers to tie her up and redirect her energy.
In Taken for a Ride, a woman wonders if she can fit into the small trunk of their new car, kicking alive a kidnap fantasy. Her husband happily obliges by binding her wrists behind her back and takes her on a ride around the neighborhood.
The Gate is a decadent wrought iron gate fronting a shop in a European tourist area. Two intrepid Americans decide to make late night use of the gate, a pair of handcuffs, and a blindfold (so conveniently packed for their vacation!).
If Only lets us into the mind of a sub, her thoughts as she waits for her Dom to give her that one command, to allow her to do something – anything! – and allow her to be whatever he needs her to be in that moment.
These are only a few select stories. I can honestly say I enjoyed most every one. I think there were only one or two that just weren’t my “thing”, but all of the writing is excellent and well worth the few pages spent reading.
