Sweet romance, but also steamy and emotional. Olivia is trying to get her life back together. She had been married to the mayor of Crimson until he cleaned out their bank accounts and ran off with his secretary. She's been left dealing with the fallout and it hasn't been pleasant. But she likes the town of Crimson and would really like to stay. Her friends are also trying to convince her that she needs a new man in her life, but that's the last thing she wants right now. That is, until she has a dance with Logan at her friend Sara's wedding. There's an instant attraction between the two of them that she doesn't know what to do about. Logan is six years younger than she is and a whole lot sexier than anyone she's ever been with before.

Logan came back to Crimson for his brother's wedding, but he has no intention of staying for long. There are way too many bad memories associated with the town. His father had been wildly abusive to him and his siblings, and after his two older brothers left, it only got worse for him and his twin sister. The coped by acting wild and out of control, and then his sister died in a car accident. Logan blamed himself and became even wilder, until one event made him realize he was headed for worse trouble. He left Crimson and didn't come back until now. He has turned his life around and has a successful job in construction. He gets talked into dancing with Olivia at the wedding and is surprised by the attraction he feels for her, especially since she claims she's not interested.

Olivia has taken on the project of trying to get the Crimson community center's renovation completed. It has come to a halt because of the actions of her ex-husband and she doesn't want that to happen. As the current contractor is married to the woman her ex ran off with, he's not interested in helping. When Olivia finds out that Logan is qualified, she begs for his help. Now they are spending a lot of time together and that attraction they feel is getting stronger.

I loved seeing Olivia and Logan together. He doesn't care about the age difference. He simply sees an awesome woman that he's attracted to. He also sees the the grief she's been getting because of her ex and does his best to show her that she is not responsible for his actions. He also shows her that she is an attractive, sexy woman that he enjoys being with, even though he feels that he's no good for her. At the same time, Olivia gets to know Logan for who he is now. She didn't know him when he was a troubled teen, so those times make no difference to her. She tries to show him that it's who he is now that's important. After awhile, the age difference starts to be of less importance to her also. But Logan is still determined to leave when his work is done, even though he finally admits that he has fallen in love with Olivia.

I really wondered how things were going to work out for them, with the way Logan was determined to leave and Olivia loving her new life in Crimson. Things got really rough for Olivia when her ex came back to town and started making trouble for her at the opening of the community center. I really loved the way Olivia had changed so much from the woman he had known, and what she did to him at the opening. That was then followed by Logan's big moment, making for the perfect ending to the book.

Charming Romance with Passion and Humor! Thrilled with Major’s latest release which sends us back to Crimson, Colorado. This time, we meet Olivia who has been left to pick up the pieces her cheating husband left behind. Rather than leave the town she’s grown to love, she holds her head high and continues her plan to see the town’s community center rebuilt. Enter Logan, our sigh-worthy hero, who needs some rebuilding of his own. Olivia ignores his troubled past and sees him for the amazing man he is. Thoroughly enjoyed the sizzling tension between these two and the doses of humor. I highly recommend it!

I honestly can't remember cheering for a couple to get their happy ending as much as I did for Olivia and Logan! The slow build of the characters gave me time to get to know them and learn to love them. Probably one of my favorite SE books in a long time! I hope we get to see more of them in future Crimson Ranch stories (especially if it's Natalie's story).

"Major spins her storytelling web with a visual narrative that enlivens the majestic beauty of Colorado while telling her heartbreaking tale. Her use of timely humor softens the sting of tragedy. Watching the couple rise from the ashes of their destructive pasts is exhilarating" (RT Book Reviews, 4 1/2 stars).

It was so good to go back to Crimson, Colorado. These two had big issues to over cover before they could trust each other, but how can you deny chemistry like that? It just built and built as they worked together, and along with the chemistry was a healthy dose of humor. Another great book in Michelle Major's series.

A Second Chance at Crimson Ranch is the second title in the Crimson, Colorado series, and this time, we’ll encounter Olivia and Logan, two people who have (to them) very valid reasons for staying separated from any close entanglements. They both have issues and could work them out on their own, but they are so much more together, and it was delightful to watch their relationship grow and bloom into a forever kind of love.

We met Olivia in the previous story as a secondary character and a new friend to Sara. She’s divorced the slimy ex-mayor of Crimson and is working hard on redefining her life. She doesn’t trust easily, and yet Logan is checking off all of the boxes to let this man into her life. Because of the way her marriage ended, she has some difficult people to deal with, some who blame her by association with the man who caused such harm to many people in this small town. Logan will step in and help her renovate the building that is earmarked as the community center Olivia is working so hard to create. He has a history with this town, his brothers still live here, but Logan isn’t planning on staying long… until Olivia wraps herself around his reluctant heart and everything changes.

I enjoyed A Second Chance at Crimson Ranch by Michelle Major. It’s well-written and emotional as we watch both Olivia and Logan work their way through issues that no longer have a hold on them. Combine a touch of laughter, secondary characters who make this fictional town come alive, and seeing the love between Logan and Olivia, the forging of new bonds with his brothers, make this story a heartwarming, fun, enjoyable journey.

Michelle Major has done it again

I love the 2nd story in 5he crimson books. The town is definitely like so many western towns. The people are comforting in some ways and critical in others. It is good to see how they can stand behind the ones who truly the the town. Olivia has b great plans for a community center. Her work to build those plans to fruition and get people to help makes the story great.

After her husband ran off with his secretary, took all the money and left the town as its worst mayor ever. Olivia picks up the pieces and continues work on the Community Center close to her heart. Enter Logan, a magically dance and her offers to help her finish the Center. But he always maintained when the job was done, he had to leave, too many bad memories in Crimson for him to stay. Ultimately, he sees through her brave act as she does his tough facade and both discover just how right they are for each other.
If you enjoy second chance stories with happy endings, this book is for you. A swoon-worthy hero with a bad boy rep and a heart of good, plus a heroine who doesn’t know how strong she really is add up to a great read with an interesting twist. Another book well done by Michelle Major.

I always enjoy Michelle's books. This book stars a strong cast with a believable love story between the main characters. This time the Travers' brother, Logan, has his chance at love. I like that the leading lady was older than her boyfriend, as I am married to a younger man.) I enjoyed seeing Olivia's character growing and becoming into her own person. Logan is a great guy, but he still can't let go of his troubled teen years. These two need each other. There were some touching scenes, as well, as some hot romantic scenes.

I fell in love with the town of Crimson and the characters, always looking forward to each new book and each story. This one was no different. I loved that Olivia found her backbone and stopped letting people walk over her. and I loved that Logan finally let go of his past. This was a re-read and one of my favourite series.
