I have not been crazy about the Chatsfield Series so I have read the ones written by my favorite Mills & Boon authors….and as I love Kate Hewitt I knew her contribution was going to be a good one.

I was so right.

I adored Olivia and Ben together. There was something that drew me to them.
Olivia is an up and coming actress attending the Berlin Film Festival to punt her latest film and hoping to land her first lead role in a movie. She’s sweet, adorable, funny and totally lovable.

Ben Chatsfield photo tumblr_lw65gbOyiX1r8058ko1_500_zps6b767c73.gif is my favorite hero in this family. He has a heart and cares for the people he loves – and he’s hot and sexy !!!! He’s managing the hotel Olivia is staying in Berlin, for his brother Spencer – he can never say no to family!!!

Both with loads of baggage but somehow they don’t allow it to taint their growing relationship….rather they find a way to help each other overcome that dark part in their lives.

Loved seeing them fall in love, revealing their secrets to each other and what a fabulous and witty banter with each other. And the first time they make love….wow…hot, sexy sexy sexy!!!

Olivia and Ben are such an unlikely couple. He is a Chatsfield she is a Harrington but when they meet sparks fly. Olivia is a talented upcoming actress and Ben a celebrity chef who agress to supervise the Chatsfield Berlin hotel for the sake of his estranged brother.

When paparazzi get them in a compromising position they decide to fake a relationship so as Olivia will get the role she craves and Ben's brother will seal a deal with the Harringtons.

I am not a big fan of this author but this book was a pleasant surprise. Ben is a wonderful hero, sexy and wild but deep down a romantic, a true alpha hero. Olivia is not your usual KH annoying heroine. She is sweet and funny and compassionate and just adorable. They both struggle with secrets and guilt but their love heals all wounds.

My only complaint is no epilogue! I really needed one! The best Harlequin Presents of this month was "The Billionaire's Bridal Bargain" by Lynne Graham. No surprise there.

I absolutely loved this book!

It was well written, the romance moved in a natural progression without cutting back on anything or any unnecessary dragging. Ben was a hero to die for with the right combination of everything you want in a perfect hero. He made this story a wonderful and amazing read. He apologized when he had too and put an effort to make things special for Olivia. I absolutely loved him and would recommend this book for him alone. Olivia was a sweet heroine who held her own in the story. Both the characters have some baggage in their past but instead of messing their relationship because of the same, they help each other move on.

I loved everything about Virgin’s Sweet Rebellion by Kate Hewitt and its been long since a Presents made me swoon so much. Highly recommended for everyone!Read More

The Chatsfield is a series that has been a major disapointment. I think I've liked maybe 2. Unfortunately Virgin's Sweet Rebellion falls into the disappointment category because it was 1. underwhelming 2. the hero was so tame. Bland. Not over the top ruthless. 3. No romantic connection happened between the hero and heroine. It felt like they were friends not passionate at all about each other. I gave up reading at the half point and don't recall them kissing passionately or having erotic feelings toward each other by then. 4. This HP did not feel like an HP. It was sooo tame.

I feel sad about not finishing because I did like the title. Unfortunately the title doesn't mean the story would be great.

Good job hitting all of the emotional points, but the plot was kind of a mess - first their fake relationship is to help Olivia's career, then it's hindering Olivia's career, and the author cared so little about that plot point that . As I said, the emotional aspects of the romance and the way the two characters interacted were well-handled, but I felt like this book suffered from being part of a larger series - both characters were kind of shoehorned into a family rivalry and roles (hotel manager, hotel patron) that the author didn't seem to want them to be in (celebrity chef, actress).

Me encantan estos libros

Son románticos y cortos, Perfectos para una tarde de lluvia.

Lo único malo es que todo se resuelve en la última página y uno se queda con el deseo de saber que pasó después.

Good story, I like how it explains how everyone got to where and how they were. Kinda wishing there was an epilogue on this one...not a bad ending though.

"Hewitt’s “Romeo and Juliet”-esque tale, complete with feuding families, is sweet and spicy. Her powerful dialogue brings the achingly poignant love story of her couple plagued by ghosts of their past to life" (RT Book Reviews, 4 stars).
