The end of a fantastic book series, full of love, hate, loss, twist, and turns that had me screaming.
I am so sad to have reached the end but so happy that I got to experience this crazy ride. Watching the growth of each character as they dealt with every challenge they faced, feeling their heartbreaks and loss with each word pricing my soul.
S.K. May did these characters and this series justice. Don't get me wrong, I screamed, cried, and laughed along the way. Was absolutely pissed at some of the things she did to us... She knows what she did.
Overall, the whispers series is one that you will devour. Each book leaves you wanting more, and the ending is a chefs kiss even if you might want to throw the book at the same time.

WOW!! what a ride!! This finale hit hard emotionally and had me completely hooked from page one. Larissa and Nik’s story is full of pain, passion, and so much tension, and Roman and Mimi? Whew. Complicated in the best way.
I loved how the Roman mythology really came alive in this one. The Pluto scenes were a fav and the dystopian vibes mixed with ancient gods? So cool.
Also… the heat. 🔥 Like, fan-yourself, blush-on-the-train kind of hot. If you’re into protective vampire/werewolf energy and strong, fiery heroines, you need this series in your life.
Totally intense, super immersive, and honestly one of the best series finales I’ve read in a while!

I laughed, I cried, I got angry and I was so happy.

What a rollercoaster end to the trilogy!
Whispers From Within The World picks up right where book two left off, diving headfirst into the emotional aftermath. Larissa is still reeling from devastating losses, while also grappling with the growing distance between her and Nik, who pulls away to uncover the truth behind their curse. Meanwhile, Roman battles his wolf instincts and the intense pull toward Mimi—a woman raised to fear and hate the supernatural. There’s angst, heat, rage, and razor-sharp banter, all wrapped up in a story that pushes the limits of love, loyalty, magic and family.
One of my favourite aspects of this final book is how the mythology deepens. The gods play a bigger role here, and SK May weaves Roman Mythology with her story really well. I really enjoyed how naturally they were woven into the story, and I really enjoyed more cameos from Pluto! (For sure one of my faves!) Including the mythology added an epic, ancient weight to the narrative. I often found myself forgetting that the majority of the story is set apart from the rest of the world, a dystopian London backdrop that’s revealed more and more as the layers are peeled back. The mix of meddling gods, long-buried secrets going back to ancient Rome, a Hunger Games-style underground resistance with corrupt world leaders, and the sweeping love story between Larissa and Nik makes this final instalment feel rich, intense, and completely immersive.
And let’s talk about the heat. This book is HOT. Like, blush-on-the-train, fan-yourself-while-hoping-no-one-looks-over-your-shoulder kind of hot. If you enjoy spice—particularly possessive vampire and werewolf mates, feisty women who can hold their own, and coupling scenes that leave no detail behind—you’ll devour this. It’s unapologetically steamy in all the best ways.

If I had to make one small note, I also would’ve loved to see Roman challenge Mimi’s long-standing biases a bit more directly, I feel like she came around a bit too quickly, though their dynamic was still a highlight. This is just a minor thought in an otherwise compelling finale. The ending was bittersweet and satisfying, perfect to conclude the trilogy!
Overall, this was a high-octane, emotionally-charged thrill ride filled with supernatural intensity, layered worldbuilding with a spark of sci-fi. If you're a fan of Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, or even The Hunger Games with a paranormal twist, you'll love this.

The third and final instalment in the whispers series does not disappoint. “How could I fix the world if the Gods were against us”. My gosh what a rollercoaster. Whatever you believe this book may be, throw that away, because it is full of some of the most shocking and unexpected twists and turns as we follow Nik and Larissa as they fight not only their curse, but the world that seems to want to destroy them, with Roman by their side as he now chases his own fated mate.
The world turns against itself as militant groups plan for the destruction of supernaturals, all the while Larissa’s power grows, and together they realise how deeply involved their curse really is. One action centuries ago began it all, but the answer lies among the Gods and their bruised egos. Vengeful and bitter the Gods seal their fate, and unraveling the truth behind their actions proves dangerous and difficult.
Twisted fates. Poetic sacrifices that will leave you in tears and your very soul shaken. A love that spans centuries and changes a monsters soul. Will they break the curse, or will it break them? This fantasy trilogy comes to its climatic finale as our lovers face the inevitable, overcome challenges and face heartbreak in the hopes to reach their happily ever after.
Larissa has only so little time left.
Knowing the cost to end the curse that affects the lives of the not only Nik and herself, but the people around her, has affected her greatly.
She has lost her sister. She has lost her mothers. Her father is making things difficult. She has faced betrayal after betrayal. Her enemies are rising. The love between her and Nik is strained.
When its time to act, how will her end lead to happiness?
Did not expect such a read! Once again, I was sucked in and staying up into the night desperate to find out how this all ended.
After the affects of the last book, revealing Nik's betrayal and the loss of Luce, Larissa's mental and emotional state is so gray. The lovers are a rollercoaster of wanting to be together and drifting apart, hunting down enemies and walking into danger.
Not only is Nik and Larissa's love life slightly troublesome, but we finally get Roman to have a love life as well! He found his soulmate, Mimi, and she is rejecting the bond. As we dive deeper into their growing bond, it's the shred of hope we need as other events spiral.
I wish I could go into further detail, but I am not one for spoilers.

What can I say...S.K May has delivered an exceptional ending to the Whispers Series. This book was everything I wanted and expected from the author. I finished this book with so many emotions. I was left needing to read more and more to find out what was going to happen. I devoured this book. The connection between Nik and Larissa was explored deeply and the relationship between Nik and Roman was one of my favourite aspects of book 3. Loved the characters. Loved Roman. I loved this series so much!

An absolute great end to this amazing story, the multiple POV’s really made it great. Seeing more of the characters lives and after such a long wait, we get HEA.
S.K delivered once again, the plot twists and surprises had me sitting on the edge of my seat.

'Whispers within the World' is Book 3 and the grand finale of S.K May's Whispers Series. This is the end of the twists and turns, the unexpected theatrics of the characters, but... To the very last word you will be sitting on the side of your chair wondering, "What just happened?" Looking around searchingly for the next character to appear or reappear. Truly breathtaking!
Every chapter continues to be surprising no matter the times the pages have been turned. If you love characters who becomes friends, dark and mysterious vampires that I'm never sure if we like him or hate him - but he fills the pages with his presence. His aura living long after all the pages are closed.
Larissa... Well, Larissa is Larissa. She radiates calm and balances her dark protector.
What is in store for them... forces beyond their imaging are at play. You will need to read yourself to alleviate your torment, just remember all is not as it seems... Don't get comfortable with your deductions because you will be wrong.
