He guards the Stoneheart MC, she guards her heart. When an ice queen mechanic meets a stone-cold biker, sparks aren't the only thing flying.
Andi I thought I had my life perfectly tuned - a job I love, an apartment that’s safe, and no complications. Then my cousin dumps her three kids on my doorstep and vanishes, leaving me holding the baby–literally.
Now I'm juggling twin toddlers, an infant, and a full-time job while living next door to a motorcycle club. Just what I need - a house full of bikers taking an interest in my business, especially their sergeant-at-arms with his broad shoulders and knowing smirk.
I've spent my whole life handling things on my own, and I'm not about to stop now….right? ‘Cause watching Hawk with the kids is enough to make my ovaries explode. And the he looks at me? My ice queen reputation might be in danger of a serious melt.
Hawk Being sergeant-at-arms for the Stoneheart MC means handling threats to the club. But the woman living across the street with three kids? She's a whole different kind of danger.
Andi's different from the women who usually hang around the club. She's all curves and attitude, an ice queen mechanic who doesn't need anyone's help. Watching her struggle with three kids she never asked for shouldn't get under my skin. But there's something about the way she holds everything together, the fierce love she has for kids that aren't even hers, that calls to the protector in me.
I'm not looking for complications. The club needs me focused, especially with a new threat breathing down our necks.
But every time that ice cracks, revealing her fire within, I know I'm in for a world of trouble.

This was an adorable and steamy lite MC romance about Andi, who finds herself an instant single mom to three cousins and Hawk, the Stoneheart MC’s sergeant at arms. I was totally drawn into the story as Andi and Hawk circled each other and the underlying plot kept just enough suspense. Perfect blend of humor, hot steamy tension, passion, found family, parenting moments, flaws, vulnerability and a forever love. Cannot wait for the next in this series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
3.5 stars for keeping my attention long enough to finish it. This edition could use some serious editing. There were misused words in sentences (light instead of like for example). There were some plot gaps due to the wrong name being used and some general issues with the timeline of actions during a scene.. like shirt off and then shirt back on again 5 minutes later.
Overall, I'm going to read the next one. The plot was enough to keep me invested and the romance was 7/10 enjoyable. SoA meets girl next door vibes which I'm here for.
Banter, grit, and just enough sweetness to make you swoon. This biker brotherhood has it all. Hawk and Andi’s romance blends heat and vulnerability, keeping me hooked from their first spark to the final page. When Andi suddenly becomes guardian to her nieces and nephew, the MC next door and one irresistible sergeant-at-arms turn into her unexpected lifeline.
Beneath the leather and attitude lies a soft, protective side, especially when these bikers are with kids, and it made me fall for them even harder. This was my first Evie read but definitely not my last. Hawk and Andi find their HEA, but the trouble brewing for the club is far from over and I am ready for book two.
This is an okay read. There are some continuity issues in the first sex scene--they "lose their clothes" and he "slides into her", and then he slides his hand under her shirt and she helps him off with his jeans and puts a condom on him. Also, as a parent who had a child that was prone to croup, they usually don't wind up in ICU, and if they do, the hospital certainly doesn't allow you to bring your other kids into the room, nor can visitors just come and go through the night. That whole scene seemed overly melodramatic. I do want to continue the series, so I'll see how it goes.
No jedno zlé rozhodnutie a Hawk môže o všetko prísť.
Heart of Stone je moja prvá motorkárska romanca a ja nutne potrebujem viac! (Odporúčania môžete písať do komentárov.
Andi is stuck with her cousin Amanda’s three children. There are the twin toddlers, Abby and Amy and baby Adam. Andi is a mechanic and moved a town over from where she grew up. Andi and Amanda did not have an easy childhood. Amanda rents a house which is a better option to take the kids to. Andi lives in a one-bedroom apartment. Andi does not own a car, just a motorcycle. She ends up hauling the three kids and their belongings back to the house on the bus.
The neighborhood isn’t the best, but it is not the worst. There are a few houses that look like they are getting taken care of. One house is across the street from Amanda’s house. Andi manages to put the kids in their bedroom so she can assess the disgustingly dirty house. It looks like Amanda has not cleaned in a long time. Andi goes outside to escape everything for just a minute. Across the street, she sees a man with a biker vest on. There are other men in the garage, looking at a motorcycle.
Andi’s boss Duck and his wife Maggie are good people. Duck took a chance on Andi when she first finished school. He values Andi as a good mechanic. He is part of the motorcycle club called the Stoneheart MC. Andi calls and explains the situation with Amanda’s kids. Duck tells her that he will send one of the loaner cars for her to use. It turns out the guy across the street is also a part of the Stoneheart MC and the house across the street is part of their compound.
Hawk is the sergeant-at-arms for the Stoneheart MC. He took over for Duck. Duck fills him in on Andi and her situation. Hawk has been watching her. He is relieved that she is just the aunt and not the mother. There is something about Andi that gets under Hawk’s skin.
Hawk and Andi both have trust issues. I hoped they would open up to each other.
Andi thinks she's finally got her life together - her job as a mechanic is going well and she has a nice little apartment. All that changes when her cousin drops her twin toddler girls and her baby on her lap and takes off. There is no way she's going to be able to handle all 3 kids and a full time job, living in her cousin's house that's not only a dump but also located right in front of the headquarters of a motorcycle club.
Hawk has just been made sergeant-at-arms of Stoneheart MC. That alone means no distractions. So why can't he keep his eyes away from the curvy ice queen with the little kids? Why on earth is he so invested in their well-being?
There is a new threat to the club and the neighborhood. And she is a threat to his sanity.
I'm not a fan of MC books, but I am fan of Evie Mitchell so I decided to give this a try. This book is SO Evie! Yes, we have all the elements of an MC book and it's also light and swoony with this alphamellow grumpy man who falls line, hook and sinker for the curvy mechanic. The kids are adorable! (Only Evie can make projectile puking cute!)
I really enjoyed seeing the brutes of Stoneaheart all fall for the little family. Andi and Hawk are fire together and you keep hoping they'll find a way to each other. Fun!
**Heart of Stone** is the first book in the Stoneheart MC series. In this story, Andi becomes the guardian of her cousin’s three young children after her cousin abandons them one weekend on Andi’s doorstep. Now a newly single mom, Andi moves into her cousin’s home, only to discover that it has not been cleaned and that no bills have been paid. To make matters more complicated, she finds herself living across the street from the local motorcycle club, the Stoneheart MC, where one of the members, Hawk, takes a special interest in her.
Hawk feels an undeniable connection to Andi when he sees her managing life with the kids. When she needs some assistance, it gives him the chance to get to know her and the little ones better. I absolutely loved Andi and Hawk’s journey as they navigated their complicated relationship. Their playful banter made me smile, while the emotional moments had me rooting for them. Both Andi and Hawk learn to break down their walls, heal from their past traumas, and step into the role of parents to kids who really need them.
Plus, they have to tackle the ups and downs of club life along the way! I’m so excited to see what happens next in this series!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
For a 230 page book, this has a surprising amount of plot alongside the romance, which in itself was great.
You’ve got a mechanic who was too stably take custody of her cousins three kids, down on her luck and ends up having to stay with the grumpy biker for a bit. With that sort of forced proximity and a whole boatload of sexual tension, it’s no surprise they went and fell in love 😏
I loved that Andi was a mess and didn’t try in the soonest to be anything other than herself. Hawk was a bit of an ass at times, but an absolute sweetheart with the kids, though needed to grovel a whole lot more for my liking (but I do say that about pretty much every book I read where the MMC messed up, so take that with a pinch of salt)
Thank you to the author and instalove influencers for the eARC
( I don’t usually read MC romances as they’re not ones I usually enjoy, but I apparently made a commitment to this this one even if I don’t relent signing up for it, so I’ve tried to be fair in my review as though it wasn’t necessarily for me it absolutely is objectively a good book and therefore would be great for someone who likes MC romances)
4.5⭐️ This is a new author for me, and I really enjoyed this introduction! I wasn’t sure how to feel about Hawk at first, he seemed like an unfeeling jerk, but I loved how he softened and became someone worthy of her and the kids. Andi was a badass who took everything in stride, even when life tried to break her. The chaos and emotions from both sides in this was well written, and I loved how it seemed to soften out and become something solid near the end. You could really see them grow together and as individuals and how they both learned what family was, with both themselves and the club. I also ADORED Ginger, she’s the person everybody needs in their corner! It has a good backstory, with some danger and club involvement. I wasn’t sure on the club at first either, but they all won me over. Wish we got to see a bit more of Duck and Andi interacting and him taking her on as a daughter. There was a few repetitive parts, but nothing that took away from the story. No cheating or OM/OW drama, condom use, found family, single guardian/3 kids, dual POV, 3rd act breakup, HEA and 2 epilogues in the future. Can’t wait to read more from this author, and to see how Axle gets his girl!
This is the first book of Evie Mitchell I've read. I wasn't disappointed.
Heart of Stone is the first book in the Stoneheart-mc Series following Andi a mechanic at the local garage whose just been landed an indefinite babysitting gig thanks to her sister leaving town and her three kids with Andi. Having to adapt to her new life as a single mum of three Andi heads back to their home, which just so happens to be across the street from the Stoneheart-mc club house. Hawk is the club's sergeant at arms and once he's seen Andi something inside him is wanting to know her despite him fighting his primal urges to claim her.
But there's some questionable things happening around the area, and despite wanting more with Andi, a decision Hawk makes could cost him his happy ending that he never knew he wanted.
If you enioy instalove, dual pov writing, steamy scenes, MC romance, alpha MMC, curvy and strongwilled FMC, angst, found family, and HEAs this is for you.
This book is so unorganized. The chicks start out as cousins and then at some point they’re sisters and now she’s taking care of her nieces and nephew. The story will say something on one page and then explain that point of view or whatever they’re feeling and then they say the same thing on the next page. And apparently “Hawk” has three hands. During the first kiss, one hand is in her hair and the other is around her throat and then magically a third moves from her hip to “tangle in her hair”. So now we have two hairs in the hair and one still on the throat. I don’t mind the story, it’s ok. But there really needs to be better proofreading and editing. Someone definitely missed a lot of stuff. This story was definitely just thrown together with repeated fillers. I really wanted to like this short book and wanted to read the series but I don’t think I’ll be able to do it. I’ll give the second one a chance to see if it gets better but I’m not holding my breath.

This was the first time, I read her book,Can't Wait, to read more. This book was entertaining, unpredictable action, cousin dumps her three kids on her doorstep and vanishes, leaving her holding the babies, living next door to a Biker club, MC sergeant-at-arms, ice queen reputation, ice queen mechanic, steamy, laugh-out-loud motorcycle club, fiercely independent mechanic who's never met a problem she couldn't fix, a grumpy, possessive biker who met his match, forced proximity, found family, learning to trust, delivers heart, heat, healing , curvy heroines, lovable bikers who think babysitting is fun, funny, adorable kids, found family, Wonderful Characters, Mama Bear, Mess up she left, can Hawk win her back???, marriage, adoption, adopted, and so much more.
She’s not their mother — but she’s the only one who stayed. Three kids. No escape. And walls so high no one gets close.
He’s a biker who’s already lost everything that mattered. The club is all he has left, and he keeps his heart locked down just as tight. When their worlds collide, nothing is easy — especially trust.
This is a true slow-burn MC romance where protection comes before passion and healing takes time. Both characters carry grief, guarded hearts, and lessons they aren’t ready for yet. Add in an underlying mystery and growing danger, and the tension never lets up.
🖤 Broken pasts 🏍️ MC loyalty over love (at first) 👧👦👶 Found-family vibes 🔥 Earned, emotional slow burn 🔍 Mystery woven through the story
If you love MC romance with depth, patience, and heart beneath the grit, this one is worth the ride.
Heart of Stone was my first book by Evie Mitchell and it won’t be my last! I was hooked from the first page in this steamy and vulnerable romance. Andi (fmc) working as a mechanic has now become the full time caregiver for her cousins children. While staying at her cousins house she meets Hawk the club sergeant of the Stoneheart MC biker club across the street. Safe to say they get off the a rocky start and I just couldn’t get enough of these two and the little family that they became. I look forward to reading the next book in the series! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you Evie and Instalove influencers for the ARC!
Evie releases on 8/18 via Evie’s website or you can purchase the book on Amazon starting 9/1!
MC Romance. Andi is a young, lonely mechanic living off her passion for motorcycles. She hadn't counted on her cousin, who one day abandons her three children without ever getting back in touch. She then finds herself a single mother of three children who drink in a house where a salubrious neighborhood can recommend a MC. And to make matters worse, she's called irresponsible by one of the neighborhood's sexy bikers. Hawk is a biker who puts the club before everyone else, so when he sees this mother who doesn't take care of her children and is crying in a dilapidated house, he can't help but judge her. But when a fellow biker explains his situation to him, he can't help but fall for her. Will Andi and Hawk have a beautiful story, or will their situation separate them…
Andi & Hawk are just what each other needed. Andi’s cousin drops her three kids (all aged under three) on her and disappears. She steps up to claim them and work on becoming their permanent guardian. She works as a mechanic in her small town’s garage. Her boss, the owner Duck, just happens to be part of the motorcycle club across the street from the rental property her cousin was renting. Hawk and MC step up to help Andi & the kids when the shady dealings of a development group trying to take over the town (to run for the cartel) cut off her water and electricity. The chemistry between Andi & Hawk is undeniable and when they finally give in the find more than just hot spice, they find someone to finally trust and rely on. I can’t wait to read more about the club and all the members!
I've read a lot of Evie Mitchell's books, and they never fail to disappoint. The first in a new MC series is always a task, as both the club and its members need to be introduced to the reader as well as the main characters involved in the story. This book does it so seamlessly that you feel every interaction, every plot-line, and every drama as if they are old friends. A well-thought-out, fast-paced story with a sassy, strong, and at times too independent female lead and a biker with a need to protect his club at all costs. A trait that may cost him everything he never knew he needed in his life. Highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more in the Stoneheart series
I was very fortunate to get an ARC for this book and am very happy to be leaving this review. Hawk is the Sgt. at Arms for the Stoneheart MC. Andi is a mechanic for their old Sgt. She's like a daughter to Duck. When her cousin dumps her three children on Andi in a one bedroom apartment, Andi has no choice but to move into her cousin's rental house. Across the road from the clubhouse for the Stoneheart. She meets Hawk and he's instantly aware she is his but he wants to fight it. How long can he hold out ... How long can she is the bigger question. This is an entertaining read, how the club deals with the kids and their interactions with each other.
This is book one of the multi author Stoneheart Motorcycle Club series and features Hawk, the Sergeant of Arms of the Stoneheart MC and Andi (with an i), a talented motorcycle mechanic.
When Andi’s life changes dramatically, it’s Hawk and the Stoneheart MC that’s there to help her keep going—even when it doesn’t look anything like what she’d been working towards.
I’m sure this is a really good book but I just couldn’t get into it, even with all the steam, it just wasn’t one of my favorite reads. It might just be a me problem though so check it out for yourself. 4 stars!
I received a copy of this book for free but am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first book I have read by Evie but it won’t be the last. I really liked how she wrote Andi to be such a bada$$. She always thought she had to do everything herself and didn’t know how to ask for help…but when Hawk comes into the picture, he doesn’t ask..he just jumps in the chaos and helps her. He’s this big bad biker who has twin girls, a little boy and their aunt wrapped around his finger. But when something goes down with the club, he must make a decision to be there for them or be there for Andi when she needs help the most. What will he choose? Will Andi forgive him when he makes his choice? 4.5 ⭐️ 2.5 🌶️
This biker brotherhood has it all—banter, laughter, sass & plenty of growls & grunts. Beneath the leather & grit lies a surprisingly sweet side, especially when these tough bikers are with kids. Hawk & Andi’s steamy, vulnerable romance keeps you hooked, pulling you in with every heated glance until it crashes headlong into a roadblock that makes you hold your breath. A perfect balance of club drama & real-life struggles reveals the raw, human side of these rough-and-tumble men, making the story as heartfelt as it is scorching.
Did I read this whole thing in less than a day? Yes, yes I did. Do I want more immediately, also yes!
I forget how much I enjoy a good motorcycle club book until I'm reading one again. And this one is so good. Andi is going through so much and all that steamy forced proximity with Hawk, honestly its no wonder they fell in love! This was full of tropes I can't get enough of (forced proximity, let me take care of you, and f*ck it to name a few), and so much plot packed into a book less than 250 pages!
I can't wait to see what happens next and how everything is going to work out!
Evie Mitchell was one of the first authors that I read that spoke to me. Her books felt like stories a friend would share. The spice is always just right. The side characters feel just right and the found family vibes feel like the tribe we all want. Now onto this one.
Andi and Hawk are perfectly written. The drama between them is read and believable. Poor Andi just wants to not be like her mother and due to the actions of her cousin she kind of is. Hawk doesn’t know where his loyalties should be once Andi and the kids show up. This was perfection and I can’t wait for more
This is the first book of a new series and is a standalone book. Ms. Mitchell is a talented storyteller and brings us a gritty story of an unconventional heroine who takes on the parenting responsibilities of 3 charming children and a tarnished hero who becomes her HEA. This is the first book I have read by this author, but it won't be the last.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I think I read so much fast burn that I forget the joy of a slow burn sometimes. I was absolutely caught up in the MC story, as well as the budding tension between Hawk and Andi that the book flew by. Without giving spoilers, I will say there was a moment when my heart just dropped, and then the scene that followed basically crushed me. It just felt so real, and I could feel the emotion coming off of Andi 🥺. All is well that ends well, and I'm definitely left wanting more of this MC 🏍!
Gosh, this one hit me right in the heart. I cried actual tears reading this one and I am so glad I did. Andi and Hawk were great together and great for the kids. I loved the strength that Andi displayed throughout the story and I loved that Hawk wasn't perfect. It made him more real. I'd recommend this one, but have some tissues handy because it pulled at my heartstrings.
I totally feel for Andi. What else could she do but take on the "A" team. Hawk is a special man and all sorts of snarkiness and smart-assedness is a guarantee. I love how he falls for not just her but the babies as well. I'm so excited for this series.... With the first book this good the rest are sure to follow.
