Jean Derwood heedlessly bumbles into danger, inadvertently coming between Doc Thorson and a deadly enemy that the science teacher has thwarted. Her rash actions set off a chain reaction that leads her to a remote corner of the galaxy where she is hunted as food on a desperate trek to survive. But do not fear, O Gentle Reader! Doc and Scruggs Grady team up with the galaxy's premier detective, Mags Hardbottle, to locate Jean in time. It's another comedy-adventure romp through the cosmos, but with a touch of heaven, as Jean encounters some of the true citizens of the cosmos in her adventures.
"The way you mix laugh-out-loud adventure with that deeper, spiritual heartbeat is something really special. It feels like Narnia collided with Hitchhiker’s Guide, but with your own brilliant spark." Charlotte Corner, review
