PART 2 of the From the Inside Out serial by New York Times Bestselling Author, S. L. Scott. Part 3 and 4 of the serial are coming September 29th. Scorned - Part 1 is now available.

We shared a love that regulated every heartbeat and every breath we took. It was all encompassing. I thought our love could withstand time and anything thrown our way.

I was wrong. So wrong.

I used to be happy. I used to be Juliette Weston when Dylan Somers filled my life with promises of love and a happy ever after. But when he took my heart and broke it into a million pieces, I became someone else entirely. In one afternoon, I lost my soul mate. I lost everything I knew myself to be.

Three years later, the man who destroyed me is back.

To assuage his guilt? To finish the job? It doesn't matter... I won't let him this time. I'm stronger. I've moved on. He won't affect me.

This is a story of love and betrayal. Pain and loss. Happiness and fate. It's about finding your true destiny.

This is a continuation of our story. And it's not for the faint of heart.

3.7 conflicted stars!

Had I known that this was the second book of another serial, I wouldn't have requested this. When I checked GR, these books were not listed in series order and the blurb didn't hint of any love triangle or anything. I just thought this was going to be another second-chance at love type story.

I was wrong.

Turns out, this is the second book, so I had to read the first book to get the whole story. Fortunately for me, I did enjoy this. I just wish there was no love triangle at all.

The story

Three years ago, Jules relationship with Dylan ended badly. If you've read Scorned then you'd know how badly Dylan fucked up that one because not only did he blamed Jules for how his life turned out (they're struggling financially, sort of), he also cheated on her, dumped her, and took everything from her save a $25 coffeemaker.

Fast forward to present time, Dylan wants Jules back. But there's another guy in the picture. Austin. It's a new relationship but for the first time in a long time, Jules is ready to move on. Of course Dylan comes and tried to convince her to give him a second chance.

Austin is rich, hot, and in love with Jules. The only downside to his personality that I saw was that he's a workaholic, and I don't really sparks between him and Jules.

Dylan, ugh! There's a hint that Dylan's reason for breaking up with Jules three years ago wasn't as straightforward as it seemed, and that he has a reason. But frankly, I don't really care. What he did was vile.

My thoughts
My conflicting feelings stems from the fact that Jules already chose a guy. But of course, last page in one of them did something that changed the whole dynamic of the relationship. So now I have to "vote" for the guy I want to end up with Jules then we'll get the book of the winning guy riding off into the sunset with Jules. Honestly, I don't know if I'm up for that. I guess I'm not the kind of reader. No teams for me. I don't know if I'll ever read the third book in the series but I'm not really as invested in Team Dylan or Team Austin enough to vote.

If ever I'm going to read the third book, it's not because "my team" won but because I really like the author's writing style. She has a unique voice and I wouldn't mind reading another book from her. If it's not this book then perhaps others on her back list. :)

Weak self serving characters, I didn’t like the authors writing style, I found it very confusing at times to follow, it jumped about too much. Not for me shan’t be continuing the following novellas

This one is as good as the first book. Dylan is reaping what he sowed and experiencing some of the pain he caused Jules. He is more mature than he used to be and boy does he realize what he gave up. Seeing Dylan again actually helps Jules open up herself for a relationship with Austin. And, while Austin is a great guy, we know that Jules is still in love with Dylan. However, she just cannot open herself up to the pain of being in a relationship with Dylan again - I mean, who could after what happened the first time around? She does not trust him and he hurt her too bad.

I could not read this one fast enough. It is as good as the first one. I appreciated the fact that Jules has not let Dylan back in immediately. The part that I really liked in this one is when Jules tells Dylan that his need to explain, apologize, and seek her forgiveness is not about her - but him. She basically tells him he is selfish. Excellent!!!!

I don't hate Dylan. I am rooting for him - why? The author let me into his head through his POV and I really believe he loves her and is truly sorry for what he did. Did I say I was a sucker for a second chance? I like Austin, but I want Dylan to get Jules back (for good and no BS). I usually do not rate serial cliffhanger novellas very high (the books after the first one let me down). But this one, so far, is done right. While this one is a cliffie , it is a good one!!!!!! I will have a hard time waiting for book 3. 4 stars.

If this author pulls off book 3 and it is as good as books 1&2, I will upgrade ratings for both to 5 stars!

>>Link to my review of Scorned | Dylan | Austin<<
5 MY-FUCKING-EVERYTHING STARS!

There's a comfort in Austin I desperately need. Dylan only causes heartaches.

Dylan is striving to start over with Jules. Jules is striving to make things work with Austin, but deep down she knows, she COULD be happier with Dylan, but learning from experience, she sticks to the safer plan.

The plan will not be easy to achieve when Dylan is willing to do anything to get Jules back. How far will he go and will he get what he wants just like how he did three years ago? Will Jules be able to forgive him or will she let her hard shell rule her future?
"Fuck! She's not in the middle...She's all of it. My whole world--the outside, the inside, the middle. My. Fucking. Everything!"

Forever and ever and ever TEAM DYLAN! My heart broke for him when I read about his pain, but at the same time, he kindaaa deserved it. Although, I am still rooting for Dylan and Jules! Sorry Austin, if this was another story I would probably like you more..

LOVE!

So many feels after reading Jealousy.

I love Austin, truly I do. He's such a lovely guy, he has a beautiful heart and loves Juliette unconditionally.
But after reading Jealousy and hearing all the emotional feels Dylan is going through by seeing Juliette with Austin I'm Team Dylan.

That ending has left me anxiously waiting for the next and final book that comes out real soon ;)

Thank you S.L.Scott for writing and for sharing these complex and lovable characters with us.

**Note: Jealousy is part two in a serial and MUST BE read after Scorned. These books are not to be read as standalones**

What can I say that I haven’t said before… The synopsis for Scorned and Jealousy are the same. But are they the same story? Nope, nope, and triple nope. Man, Jealousy was a ride! Talk about crazy. Emotions are everywhere, choices are made, tears are shed, words are shouted, and it was just so intense. I’m in awe of S.L. Scott’s versatility as an author and I think her writing is flawless. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this serial is like nothing else I’ve ever read from her. Yes, it is like all of her other works combined, but it’s a whole new ballgame people.

“Dylan, you closed the door on us. I was there. I remember. I lived through the pain while you did whatever it was you needed to do for you. I can’t help that you now regret that decision. But I’m not angry anymore. I finally found someone good. Austin is good for me.”

There really isn’t much to say for Jealousy that won’t be a spoiler. And you guys know me, I have never written a spoiler-y review. All I can say is that I was TORN in this book. At one point, I was like “Screw Team Austin, screw Team Dylan, and even screw Team Jules. I’m #TeamBrandonAndSecretaryTricia”. There’s just so much conflict in this book and in Scorned. You’re being pulled in both directions, and it’s amazing. So. Many. Feels.

“We’re caught in a cycle. Wonder if she sees that, if she feels it like I do. Hate binds us to the past and we’re stuck in an unwanted emotion. But there’s more to us than hate. There’s something profoundly deeper.
I don’t just know it. I feel it morphing inside of me. I see it morphing inside of her when I look deep into her beautiful brown eyes.”

Most of the time, I was wanting to like Dylan and at the same time I was wanting to hate Dylan. He wronged Jules—that much is seen in Scorned. But, we get to see a lot more of his POV in this book that you can’t help but fall for him a little more each page. Especially since he seems to have that alpha male quality that I swoon for. Most of the time I'm like what are you doing dude? Then I'm like kiss her! And then just go away or I'll punch you in the face. The same can almost be said Austin. We don’t get his POV, but we do get to see how good he is for Jules. In a perfect world where Jules didn’t get her heart broken, Dylan is the one she should end up with. I feel like the way these two books are written indicates that the author more inclined towards Dylan. But then I think if we didn't have Dylan's POV we would hate him. Because we don't have Austin's POV but he's sweet and amazing. Dylan is frustrating and an asshole sometimes, so without his POV we wouldn't feel as angsty.

“Don’t come near her. I’m warning you, Somers. Don’t make this worse. Don’t put Jules in the middle of whatever this is.”
“Caught in the middle? Fuck! She’s not in the middle, man. She’s all of it. My whole world—the outside, the inside, the middle. My. Fucking. Everything!”

Jealousy moves FAST. It has to because it’s part of a serial. This is the first serial I’ve ever read, but I have to say I kind of love how they work, even with the major cliffy that you know have to come at the end. And this cliffy is wayyyy worse than the cliffy from Scorned. When I finished, I messaged S.L. Scott saying “I'm not built to handle stress like that! From a book! And not even a full length book! A serial installment. Written by you. You brilliant, sneaky lady”. The end left my heart pounding and aching for more. The first one left you with happy then nothing. This is like sucker punch to the gut. And, if you haven’t seen the big news… For the first time ever, the reader gets to choose the ending! There’s going to be a book where Dylan get the girl and there’s going to be another released at the same time where Austin and Jules end up together. I, personally, have to read both. Even though I might be in love with Dylan. Shhhh…

“Those are lies. You’re lying to yourself, so you can walk away from your true feelings. You were never a game to me. You aren’t a toy. You’re my heart, my soul, fuck this.”
He kisses me… And I let him.

Jealousy completely signifies my emotion throughout this book. S.L. Scott has once again put me in a position that I am completely confused as to who is best for Jules. We pick up where we left off in Scorned. Jules is happy with Austin. Dylan wants Jules. Brandon is the good guy. Jean Luc is sexy as all get out. That about sums it up. See why I'm jealous?!

While Jules is basking in the new relationship happiness that being with Austin gives her, she is torn by the past and the resurfacing feelings for Dylan. Dylan is coming to terms with his juvenile behavior and the consequences of his actions. Poor Austin has no idea what is going on and at times I was completely hurting for him. I feel in my gut that Jules belongs with Dylan. Then I see her, on the page and through the words, so very happy and cherished by Austin and I want Austin for her.

I want Brandon to throw his hat in the ring but then I don't want another person to hurt so I beg him not to. Jealousy has stirred up so many emotions and feelings it has taken me a while to choose my team and the happily ever after I want for Jules.

Will she stay Jules or will she become Juliette again? I'll have to wait and decide.

I loved Jealousy! After Scorned, I was still Team Undecided. But now, my decision has been made!

Jealousy was fast paced, had some great twists, angst, and an ending that will leave you anxiously waiting for the next installment.....And if I had any doubts of who I want Jules to be with, this right here made my decision for me: "You’re lying to yourself, so you can walk away from your true feelings. You were never a game to me. You aren't a toy. You’re my heart, my soul, fuck this" He kisses me.....And I let him.

Whether you are Team Dylan or Team Austin, S.L. Scott is giving each team, their ending. So, the question now is which one will I read first??? My"Team"decision has been made.........But, Do I read Austin first to see if they really are meant to be or will it be Dylan who ends up winning Jules over when it's all said and done?!? I for one will be reading both books!!!!

I loved Scorned and couldn’t wait to read Jealousy, and see who Jules would pick – Austin or Dylan? Although Dylan broke Jules’ heart, he is totally swoon-worthy and I loved him in this book! But Austin… I really loved the way the author wrote this second book, it hooked me in right from the beginning.

In Jealously we are shown some of Dylan’s side of the story. Because he seemed like the “bad guy” in Scorned, I really liked this. S.L. Scott is a wonderful writer and none of her characters are one-dimensional or cliched. I felt very emotionally connected to these characters and to the story and I can’t wait for the final installment in this series.

....and here we continue from book 1. Another short one. Continuation of the story Jules is happy with Austin but Dylan is still creeping around and not giving up. I found him so annoying and quite selfish but then there was part of me that felt bad and maybe believed that he truly was sorry for what he did.
I've gone back and forth and now we get to choose what ending to read...And now it’s decision time! Who should Jules choose – Dylan or Austin?? I'll probably end up reading both endings....LOL!!!

I hadn't read book 1.

I got involved with the tour for this book and I really should look closer and see if they are a series. I feel I've missed out! So I am going to have to go back over and read book 1.

This didn't distract me from the fact that I could see this author has great talent. Its a very short book crammed with lots of action, angst, jealousy, power, raw emotion in between the pages. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.

I really need to read book 1

Better than the first. I still feel it’s too surface and lacking the details of both relationships (h/H1 and h/H2) to make me feel like there’s a winner to choose from. I’m not sure I even like the h. But I’ll definitely take Austin off her hands ;)

4 books - 2 heroes - 1 heroine - 2 endings

Hero 1:
undeserving
weak, non-grovelling slimeball
sleazy, immature... the type of character who would normally be the loser other guy
as if that's not enough, he cheats and leaves her for some monster

Hero 2:
Austin is adorably perfect
gorgeous and patient, constant and true
Adores her with all his heart

Heroine:
wishy-washy-too-hung-up-on-hero-1
mostly I wanted her to choose Austin so HE could get the girl

“I threw up three times that night, claiming I had food poisoning. I didn’t. I had heart poisoning.”

Jealousy is part two of From the Inside Out Series and I couldn’t have asked for a better installment. The last part was heartbreaking, intense, sexy, and completely irresistible. This book hasn’t been any different. The first part, Scorned, focused on giving us Juliette’s heartbreak and all of the confusing feelings she went through with seeing Dylan again. Part two focuses on showing us how fate gives you paths to walk and we get to see the crossroads where Juliette needs to choose.

Juliette Weston has spent three years in a numb existence after Dylan left her and now Dylan is back and bringing all of her hurt and betrayal forward. Fate has given Juliette Austin Barker, a second chance with a person that is safe. The relationship will be easy. The relationship is everything that Jules thinks she wants. Austin makes her happy after not feeling happy for so long. The problem is fate also brought Dylan back. Not the Dylan that she was left with at the end of their relationship but the Dylan that she fell in love with. And he isn’t leaving. He wants her back and he is going to fight for her.

“Her lips press against the glass on the opposite side of where mine were and that’s when I know for sure. She feels this just as much as I do. It’s real. What we’re sharing is real.”

We got to see a lot more of Dylan in this book. Dylan has finally seen the light and he knows what he wants. He is willing to give up everything he left Jules for to get her back. He realizes that Jules is all he wants. He slowly starts to position himself back in her life and take things slow. I loved hearing more of the story from his point of view. We learned a lot more about his regret, his own heartbreak, and how he sees life without Jules. Dylan is completely swoon-worthy. I love him.

Austin isn’t in this book much. He is trying to take his relationship with Jules to the next level but there is something holding her back and he doesn’t know what it is. He travels a lot in this book. He is sweet, patient, and understanding with Jules. Austin is swoon-worthy in his own way. I wish that we knew more about him though.

“-two prisms and a coffeemaker- the three things that tie me to Dylan. At least I thought that was what tied me to him. They’re not. My heart does. My feelings. My memories-good and bad anchor me to him like a weight.”

Juliette is spending this book trying to figure out what she wants. Dylan has been her life for so long but there are no guarantees in that relationship. There is a huge chance that he will leave her again and she doesn’t know if she can risk it. Dylan is the love of her life whether that is healthy or not remains to be seen. Juliette also has Austin. He feels safe and he cares for her. She agrees to take the next step but she doesn’t know if she can leave everything that reminds her of Dylan. She needs to make a decision with one man and leave her feelings and the other one for good. She tried to let Dylan go but he won’t let her. Juliette is such a strong person in this book. She lets her anger and resentment go with Dylan. She lets him be a different man when they have their secret lunches together. She makes the tough decision and she is going to live with it even if it ends up crushing her.

“Dylan stops to laugh, a tinge maniacally. “Caught in the middle?” He asks. “Fuck! She’s not in the middle, man. She’s all of it. My whole world-the outside, the inside, the middle. My. Fucking. Everything.”

I am definitely team Dylan. There are many reasons but I believe deep down that they are soul mates. Sure I love Austin he is the perfect gentlemen and a great boyfriend. But I don’t think that Jules will ever be able to move past Dylan. Whether she admits it or not I think that Dylan is it for her. I really thought I was going to be team Austin after the first book. And I would be if I thought Dylan hadn’t changed but he’s fighting for her and I think Austin is going to lose.

“He kisses me…And I let him.”

This was an amazing installment in the From the Inside Out series and one you should definitely pick up. The story has so many layers to it. There is heartbreak that leaves you breathless. There is healing that makes you hope for a better future. There is love that shows you how deep someone can feel it. S.L. Scott has a gift with making you feel every emotion Jules and Dylan feel and even Austin even though we don’t get chapters from his POV. I will definitely be reading the next installments and picking up more from this author.

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This Chick

Jealousy is the second part of S.L. Scott's From the Inside Out serial, and picks up right where Scorned left off. These installments need to be read in order, and trust me you do not want to miss a single thing! I couldn't wait to get more of Jules, Dylan and Austin, and Jealousy definitely didn't disappoint. This installment was packed full of juicy goodness, and I loved seeing more of the past as well as the present. If you were on the fence about which team you were on before Jealousy, I really believe that by the end of this one you will be firmly on one side or the other. While I have had my team picked from the beginning, this book really just solidified my love for both Dylan and Austin. While I still stand by my man, I absolutely love them both and want them both to end up happy. (Just one with Jules and the other with someone else.)

As Jules and Austin's relationship begins to get off the ground, Jules still struggles with the reappearance of Dylan in her life. Juliette is finally starting to move forward, but she is also starting to get answers to questions that she has had for the past three years. Jules knows that Austin is a great guy and things are easy between them. If she has a complaint about their relationship it is the fact that he travels so much for his job. But while she is enjoying her time with Austin, she can't help but still feel a pull towards Dylan. Dylan hurt her in the past, but he is back and more determined than ever to win her love again. He will pull out all the stops to convince her that their love is worth a second chance. But will Jules be able to risk her heart again in order to see if the connection between her and Dylan is worth another chance, or will she decide to play it safe and move forward with a happy and healthy relationship with Austin even though she still thinks about Dylan?

I love both of these guys so much. They are both great in completely different ways, and I love how they are not like each other at all. Dylan realizes that he made a horrible mistake, and for the first time really seems to feel the pain that Jules has been living with for three years. He knows how badly he screwed up, and he really seems to be genuine in winning her love back for the right reasons. I think that he is being completely truthful in the fact that he would give up everything for her, and that it all means nothing without her by his side. I think he still has some proving to do, but you can really tell just how deeply his feelings run and how much he cares for her. I loved seeing that he remembers just as much as her about their past and history, and I loved that he made thoughtful gestures rather than grand and expensive ones. It showed that he truly gets her and is in it for her. Austin is impossible not to love. He is smart and dedicated, and has been completely upfront and honest from the beginning. He was patient and kind, waiting for her to be ready to try something between them. They are really cute together, and I love that they can be playful and fun as a couple. They seem to have this natural ease to their relationship, and I think that they work well together. While I think that Jules has chemistry and a connection with both guys, I truly believe that one is more right for her than the other. They are both the right guys and could make her happy, but I think that one belongs with Jules and the other doesn't.

I will admit that the ending of this installment about killed me. It stopped and I literally wanted to scream. I need more. It isn't a want but rather a need, and I am loving these characters so much that I don't want to have to wait. I am not very patient, and these installments are so good that I absolutely devour them and am forced to wait to get more of these characters. I feel like an addict waiting for my next hit, and it can't come soon enough. I really enjoyed seeing more of the past for Jules and Dylan but also seeing how they all are coping with the present. I am really loving the fact that we get different POVs, and I really think it adds to the story. In Jealousy I feel like we are starting to see the whole picture of what happened in the past, and while it is hard to get through it does shed light on the current situation. I will tell you that this does end with a cliffhanger, but rest assured that this is just part 2 of this 4 part story and the rest is coming. I definitely recommend this serial, and anything by S.L. Scott. She is one of my favorite authors, and I know that each time she will deliver a wonderful story that will leave me satisfied with the outcome. I can't wait for more from her, starting with the next installment in the From the Inside Out serial.

In Scorned we me Juliette aka Jules, the broken hearted gallery manager that is slowly but surely picking up the broken pieces of her heart. She has been separated from Dylan for three years and she finally feels like she can move on. So she thought… After a chance meeting at a restaurant, the past three years have vanished and she’s left reliving the heartbreak and devastation all over again. Little does she know that she is Dylan’s biggest regret. Leaving her was the biggest mistaken of his life. So know we start in Jealousy… Sometimes a little jealousy is needed to open your eyes again. The story of Juliette and Dylan continues to be told in dual POV and is a serial novella. These are quickly becoming my favorite things to read because the story develops quickly and we normally don’t have to wait months for the next one.

Dylan gave up everything he loved for what he thought was passion and money. He thought we was doing the right thing. He was blinded by money and power and now lives with those regrets. Being at the top of your game is not everything with the one person you loved isn’t there to share it. With he was with Jules, they had both just graduated college and starting on the bottom of the professions. He saw a way to make it big and took it. He quickly learns that money doesn’t always buy happiness.

“It’s ironic, I gave up Juliette for my career three years ago and now I’m willing to sacrifice my career to get her back,”

Jules is finally getting on her with life. She has a successful career, and now she is opening her heart to love again. When successful businessman and art coinsurer has propositioned her in the past, she has always turned him down now she is ready. Her and Austin’s relationship is slowly blossoming but when he takes her for dinner for her birthday and announces a business associate would be joining them so he could sign documents, the last person she expected was Dylan. Seeing her with someone else ignites something in Dylan and he knows he must do what he can to make things with Jules. He is willing to do anything to be close to her.

Has the time passed on Dylan and Jules relationship? Does her heart belong solely to Austin? What happens when Austin discovers Dylan is the one who shattered Jules heart?? The ending had me on edge and now I know two books are coming out, Austin’s book and Dylan’s book, I will be patiently waiting until September 28th to see how it all plays out! I am normally clear cut on what team I am when it comes to triangles but right now I so torn as where I want Jules to go!!! Austin gives her stability and loves her for her. He sees the true beauty inside of her.

“I’ve been ruined for years. Austin is an incredible and patient man that wants me even with all my baggage and damaged insides.”

Dylan is her first love, even though he broke her heart, the spark they once had is still there and now he is willing to lay the world at her feet.

“My feelings. My memories- good and bad anchor me to him like a weight.”

Who to choose… who to choose!!!! You need to read to see what team you will be on!

Jealousy is the second volume of the From the Inside Out series and picks up right where it left off. In this book, we learn more about the history between Dylan and Jules, all the while Jules and Austin’s relationship becomes more serious.

In this volume, there is a significant twist…it seems that Dylan is a business associate of Austin’s. When Dylan shows up at Jules’s birthday dinner, along with the woman that Jules saw him with at the diner in the first book, they choose to pretend they do not know one another…awkwardness ensues. When Dylan starts to show up at more and more events that Jules is also in attendance, Austin begins to become suspicious and the nature of Jules and Dylan’s relationship will soon come to light. When Austin decides to take their relationship to the next level, Jules finds that she will soon have to make a very important choice that will affect the rest of her life.

I admire the evolution that Jules seems to go through over the course of two books. When we first meet her, she is broken, still hung up on the break up three years ago. But when she begins to date Austin, she seems to become stronger, understanding that she is entitled to happiness and it is not her fault that Dylan left in the first place. Everything seems to come together for her, however the most difficult decisions are still to come.

This was another amazing example of the way Ms. Scott is able to capture all of the emotions of the characters. Each is further developed; making it easier to understand why Jules is going to have to make the choice she is faced with. The beauty of the next installment of the series is that there will be two books, each with a separate ending. Both Dylan and Austin will each have their own separate ending, so you will be able to ultimately choose which man you want Jules to end up with. Isn’t that incredibly clever? I personally am going to choose them both because honestly, I like both of them. They each bring unique characteristics to the table and I don’t envy the choice Jules needs to make. Will the clean slate that Austin is able to offer entice Jules to choose him? Or will their shared history lead her to choose Dylan?

Another five star read and I can’t wait until the final volumes come out!

Jealousy is a perfect name for this book.... Remorse and denial would work also! Since that seems to be the theme throughout. This is the second book in the From The Inside Out Series. We get more Jules, Austin and Dylan. It's an epic love triangle. That will have your stomach in knots. Your heart and mind will be flip flopping back and forth....

Poor Jules the unthinkable had happened causing her heart and mind to battle... What would you do if the love of your life, the man who ripped your heart out, came crashing back in to your world??? At the worst time, when you are just starting a new relationship with a wonderful man.... YOU WOULD FREAK!!!! (That's what I did as I read!)
From the beginning till the end, I was utterly confused and torn between Austin and Dylan. Two men determined to win Jules heart. Austin is her current boyfriend but she is in complete denial with her feelings for Dylan. She thinks he is the past and Austin is her future. But how can she look to the future, when she hasn't let go of her past?? When her heart belongs to the other person....

I was Team Austin till I read this book. I soooo wanted to hate Dylan but it was nearly impossible with him acting like a love sick puppy. He was so remorseful and sincere. I would hate to be in Jules' shoes trying gravely to be strong! But how can she stay true to her resolve when Dylan is finally telling her everything, she always wanted to hear?? Can she forgive him and believe his words???

If she could just forget Dylan and go off into the sunset with Austin. Her life would be so much easier. On paper Austin is the better man. He is a much safer choice. He's patient and loving. He wants to take their relationship to the next level. She knows she can have a good life with him.....What is a girl to do??

In Jealousy you get to see a different side to Dylan. He really opens up. The dual POVs is excellent and gives you both sides of their story. Therefore you begin to sympathize with Dylan and see his true intentions. It all comes down to forgiveness....

How many of us would be strong enough to walk away?

For the next book, I love that we get to choose our ending with the guy of our choice. I haven't fully committed to my team yet ...Team Austin or Team Dylan.... But I'm left needing to read more from Dylan first. He really tugged at my heart.......looking forward to more!!!

Jealousy by S.L. Scott is the second book in her brand new series From The Inside Out. It is a story of circumstances that either have happened to us, or we have envisioned happening at some point.

Dylan left Jules three years ago leaving her with words of hate and making her feel she was the problem of their consuming relationship. He actually left her for another woman but soon realized the depth of his mistake. Feeling like it was to late to fix things with Jules, he does nothing but work and leaves the both of them to suffer the loss. Jules is finally getting past things, starting to make changes and recover from the loss of what she believed was her other half. Dating even, and then the infamous run-in with the ex happens.

The part we have all hoped for at some point is where the ex (Dylan) realizes the error of his ways and the mistake he made in letting her go and tries desperately to win her back. The part that will differ for all of us is what happens next. Will Jules choose to stay with Austin, the new guy who is committed and steady and wants her desperately or will she go back to the one that broke her so completely hoping that he is the one to finally mend her.

This is the best part - up next for this series - WE GET TO CHOOSE WHO GETS THE GIRL!!!!!

This will be a choose-your-hero end to the tale. You can choose either Austin (the good guy) or Dylan (the ex). It's not a new concept but more of a re-introduction of this type of story. In the very manner of the movie "Sliding Doors" you can read BOTH and see how it would play out in either scenario.

May the choice be with you!

Team Dylan all the way!!!!!!!!!

Review of the series

This is a great series. I liked it so much. It is very well written, the covers are super hot, the characters are well developed, even though I was a little annoyed with their hesitant actions throughout the book and I have a new book boyfriend!! When I was reading the first book I was team Austin, but in the middle of book two everything changed. Dylan won me over. He was the right man for Jules. Despite the bad choices he made in the past, he always has been the love of her life.

Book #2: Jealousy 4 stars

In the second book of the series Jules is happy with her relationship with Austin. He is good for her, he takes care of her, he loves her deeply but..... Dylan is still around. He doesn't give up, he keeps trying to fix things with Jules.

I like the drama in this book, how Jules and Dylan's encounters are filled with the love they still have for each other, but also the hate, the regret and most of all the sadness, all the consequences for their actions in the past and in the present.

I also like the easiness in the relationship of Austin and Jules. I'm a erotica sucker, so I miss the sex in this story, but their moments are romantic and beautiful, so I am cool what that. But for some reason, maybe I am crazy, but I root Dylan/Jules. They are soulmates. I know, Dylan broke her heart and for the most selfish reason of all, but they still love each other.

There is one thing I love about this series and it is that it has two endings. I decided to stick with my stupid masochistic heart and I'll go for Dylan. Let's see what she decides in that book. Maybe, just out of curiosity I'll read Austin's book.

Great 2nd book

Oh boy things just got real! Choices...choices...choices. I am team Austin at this point. It is usually the other way around in these situations. I usually choose the 1st love.

Hmmm... that's about all I am thinking right now as I finish this part of the story. At the end of Scorned, I was all Team Austin. After finishing Jealousy, I am a little more sympathetic toward Dylan... maybe. I haven't decided yet. Fortunately I have a few weeks before I have to make a decision! But I will come back to that in a moment.

Jules is making a life with Austin, but Dylan is determined to fight to get her back. What I can't decide is if he is doing for the right reasons. Does he really still love her or the idea of what they once had? To my mind, it's "once a cheater always a cheater" and Jules has the same thought. But yet her heart remembers the good times they had and is starting to overrule her mind that wants her to remember the absolute pain he caused. Things get complicated when Austin brings Dylan and another work associate to Jules' birthday dinner to finish up a deal they have been working on and both Jules and Dylan pretend they don't know each other. The ticking clock counting down to the inevitable reveal and messiness starts ticking...

Austin is still a great guy but I am not feeling a spark between him and Jules, partially because we don't see any really intimate moments happening between the two of them. There were some great moments though where Dylan, Austin and Brandon (Jules' best friend who is also a little in love with her) were all together hanging out where Austin is oblivious to the other mens' histories with Jules. The ending left off at a crucial moment as expected which brings me to the decision I referred to at the beginning of this review.

I am intrigued by what the author is doing next. Books 3 and 4 will be titled Team Austin and Team Dylan, and the reader can decide which man they would like Jules to end up with, reading only that book or both if you can't decide (which is what I am leaning toward right now). This will be interesting for sure!

**I received an e-book ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review**

I was so excited when Jealousy hit my Kindle. Like many other readers, I’ve been on the edge of my seat since August. S.L. roped me in with Scorned, the first installment in the From the Inside Out series, leaving me wanting more of a few things: Jules’ story and Austin. Jealousy delivered both of these, and so much more.

When Jealousy opens, Jules is – dare I say it – happy. Things are going well with Austin, their relationship is floating peacefully on a cloud of honeymoon-phase induced bliss, and life in general seems to have improved. Of course Dylan is always right there on the horizon, almost out of the picture but still in the peripheral enough that Jules can’t help but notice him. And he doesn’t exactly make it difficult for her to take notice either. Dylan makes Jules start to question things, and by the time the cliffhanger of an ending arrives, we’re left wondering what – or rather, who – is best for her future.

I really felt for Jules at the end of this installment. It’s obvious she has deeply rooted feelings for Austin, but she clearly still feels something for Dylan, because despite all that’s happened, she doesn’t seem like she can fully commit to Austin. Scott’s ability to hold readers hostage with an incredible story shines through in Jealousy.

I have no idea what team I’m on at this point, though I do think Austin would be a better fit for her. Of course S.L. Scott has penned not one, but two endings to this story, so everyone wins in the end, including indecisive readers like me.

The final two installments in the series come out on September 29. If you haven’t yet read the From the Inside Out serial, I recommend starting now. Perhaps you’ll have better luck with picking sides by the time the last leg of Jules’ journey is available for all of us.

In Scorned, S.L. Scott provides readers with insight into the aftermath of Jules’ break up with Dylan and her attempt to move on with Austin even though Dylan’s reemergence in her life has caused a bit of the pain and hatred towards Dylan to subside. Book 2, Jealousy, is more Dylan’s story to tell than Jules’, and it allows readers to understand more clearly why he made the choices he did and what’s at stake for him now as he witnesses Jules’ endeavor to start a new relationship with someone else. Just like Scorned perfectly fits Jules’ attitude and feelings towards everything that occurred with Dylan, Jealously clearly represents Dylan’s reaction to what he sees as the reality of losing Jules for good. But Dylan won’t go down without a fight, so for much of the book, he finds ways to interact and meet up with Jules.

As much as I want to dislike Dylan for his past treatment of Jules, book 2 shows him in a new light. He truly seems repentant for his actions, and the more time he spends with Jules, the clearer it seems that she may not actually be ready to move on and is only forcing herself to make it work with Austin purely out of fear for what may happen if she gives herself to Dylan again.

At the end of book 2, there doesn’t seem to be a clear winner, and now with the option for readers to choose their team choice to get the ultimate happy ending, both Dylan and Austin will get the chance to claim the girl they want to spend the rest of their life with.

Jealousy tells the story of Jules, a girl who’s been mourning the end of a relationship with the love of her life for the past three years. The second in the ‘From the Inside Out’ series (the first, Scorned, was fabulous), Jealousy documents her deepening relationship with Austin, the sexy businessman who makes a play for Jules. At the same time though, the reappearance of Dylan (the lost love of her life) causes Jules to second guess herself. And she finds herself trying to work out what it is she really wants from these men.

It’s an angsty ride, but told with all the wit and sophistication I’ve come to expect from S.L. Scott. And though Jules is vulnerable, she’s also strong and feisty, a girl who has had to work hard to pull herself out of the pit of her misery and carve out a place in life. As for the two heroes – Dylan and Austin–I have to say I love them both. While some readers are ‘Team Austin’ or ‘Team Dylan’ I kind of want her to be with both of them. Hint – S.L. Scott, feel free to use that idea for a fifth book in the series ;)

The next two parts in the series – Dylan and Austin are due to be released on September 29th, and allow you to opt for a Dylan or Austin ending. I absolutely love the concept of this story. It’s like a Choose Your Own Adventure for adults, with the opportunity to decide which way the heroine should turn. I’m still not sure which man I want her to stick with, so I’ll be buying both of them and see which ending makes me the happiest.

The writing’s great, the story is excellent and most of all it’s a killer concept. Now I’m counting down the days until the next books are released!
