A Brand new forbidden, billionaire boss romance from VH Nicolson. Perfect for fans of Anna Huang, Catharina Maura and Meghan Quinn Revenge is all I’m after…

I've come to seek the truth. To put the law firm on trial for representing the man which tore my world apart. Hart Law must answer for their actions. I had it all planned out. I would take a job in their records department, access the relevant files to expose their cover up, and then blow them up in the press. That was until I laid eyes on Nathan Hart. Head of the firm, undeniably sexy and impenetrable. I know I shouldn't have, but I couldn’t resist just one night with the enemy. But that's when it all went wrong.

These are my rules to break…

I don't do relationships or commitment. But when the woman I spent an unforgettable night with shows up in my office, I'm not afraid to admit I was both angry at her deception but delighted I wouldn't have to fantasize about her anymore. She's brilliant at her job and knows exactly how to challenge me. But this is Hart territory and I own this kingdom. Yet Arianna is putting me to the absolute test and for the first time I am willingly giving up my power. But this could be dangerous in so many ways.

One Liner: Insta lust, but the story gets better

Arianna wants revenge. She joins the law firm that represented her family’s killer to dig into their secrets and expose their cover-up. Of course, meeting Nathan Hart, head of the firm, puts a small spanner in her plans.

Nathan Hart doesn’t have time for commitments. However, when his one-night stand walks into the office, he is angry at the deception and excited to get to know her. The chemistry is evident, but what will the truth of her past do to him and their growing closeness?

The story comes in Ari and Nathan’s first-person POVs.

My Thoughts:

So, the premise makes it clear that the book will have insta lust and a third-act breakup. Since I was prepared for both, I enjoyed this spicy (4 peppers) read for what it was.

After a prologue from the past, we jump right into the central plot. There is a lot of internal dialogue, which serves the purpose of providing the backstory and maybe adding a bit of depth to the characters. Some of this gets repetitive, but it works in the context.

The dual POV is easy to track. Though there’s a mention under the chapter head, I didn’t always need to look at it to figure out whose POV it was. The voices were distinct enough.

The side characters, especially the brothers and the mother (and Joseph too!), were good. The three remaining brothers will get their own books (hopefully soon). They have definite personalities, so no confusion about who is who.

Despite the spice, the book gives us a few sweet/ adorable scenes. This slows down the whirlwind romance a little bit and establishes a deeper connection between the characters. And oh, this is an age-gap romance (he is 44, she is 29).

The third-act breakup is done well. It aligns with the central premise and gives a good conclusion. While a particular scene could have been a bit more detailed since it is crucial, the rest is decent. We get an epilogue, too!

I do wish the FMC’s backstory had more information. A few scenes with her family, etc., would have added more emotional depth to the narrative.

The dynamics between the Hart brothers are awesome, though. The family clearly loves each other. It adds an extra layer to the story and prevents it from being too shallow.

Goat yoga? Seriously! The kind of shit west does to traditional indigenous knowledge makes me want the goats to poop over the billion-dollar industry as they did on the MMC. Not a minus point for the book since it only uses what’s already there in the society.

To summarize, Breaking His Law is a steady-paced spicy romance with banter, secrets, and drama. It should work well as a light beach read or a buffer between heavy books.

Thank you, NetGalley and Boldwood Books, for the eARC. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.

If you like BDSM in a book advertised as romance, you might like this novel. The form of that particular kink offered in this sex-fest (age difference, Daddy Dom) I personally find especially cringe-worthy.

This was, for me, yet another wasted click on "accept" for a free book offered through Amazon Prime Library.

This is my first book by VH Nicholson and oh my goodness, I adored this so much. I felt so attached to not only Ari and Nathan but the whole Hart family, that’s when I know I’m invested. The writing was really stunning and this author has such a way with words I was eating it up. The spice was spicing from chapter 3, the FMC was a strong female who knew what she wanted (my favourite), workplace romance, age gap, grumpy billionaire MMC, praise, revenge plot, what more could you want? The inner dialogue and dual POV of the main characters also had me giggling and made me connect to their personalities so much. The relationships in this book had me hooked and I already cannot wait to read more of the series when they are released!

Thank you Net Galley and Bold Book Club for this ARC! So glad I took the opportunity to read it, highly recommend.

Did I just found a new romance-author? Yes!
This book was a lot of fun and spice ;)

The FMC was delightful and headstrong! The MMC was just what you wanted him to be, and the chemistry between them was spot on. Slow-burn tension, banter, romantic gesture and delicious spice!

🥵 Spicy chapters: 3, 12, 17, 30, 32, 35, 50
📚 Tropes/Themes: lawyer X secretary, he falls first and harder, obsessed MMC, possessive MMC, billionaire, one night stand, age gap, workplace romance, forbidden Romance
👀 Dual POV 1st person
💔 Triggers: death, car accident

💬 This was such a great palette cleanser after all the books I've been reading lately! I really enjoyed it.

So I think this is the first boss x secretary romance book I've read and specifically because it's an attorney and his legal secretary it reminded me of Suits 🤤🤤🤤 Harvey Specter 🫦💦. Like I don't necessarily think that that's what it was meant to be, but if that was what Nicolson had in mind it worked as Suits fanfiction.

This book was sweet and spicy and surprisingly sucked me in really quick. I didn't quite know what to expect from this book I had accepted it as a widget without doing a whole lot of research but I'm glad that I did.

This is also the kind of age gap I can get behind. I'm really not a huge fan of the barely legal aged female with someone in their 35+. I'll be honest it kind of creeps me out but with this because they were both well into being adults and established in their lives I enjoyed that aspect of it.

And honestly I don't even normally go for books with obsessive/possessive MMCs but there is something about Nathan but I really liked- like the way that he was obsessed and the way he took care of her. I'm probably not explaining it well there was just something really cute about the way he fell for her but made me smile.

Hopefully there will be books about his brothers too 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I'm so sad, I love V.H Nicolson's books but unfortunately this one missed the mark for me.
Arianna was insufferable and decided to try and ruin an entire company because she thinks the man who used to run it helped the man she believes killed her family in a car crash. the car crash that was confirmed an accident based on weather conditions, but she's spent her whole adult life convinced this man was drunk or high or something and plans to take down the law firm that represented him even though the lawyer doesn't work there anymore.
she listened to bullshit from a woman she 'trusts' but when she thinks about it she was helping her old dodgy boss who had links to the cartel! but never questioned anything she said because it fit what she wanted to believe.
Nathan was also a bit of an asshole, but was at least somewhat redeemable.
Also, 3 Harry Potter references, in 2025 and especially with the current goings on of that author, really rubbed me the wrong way.

This is not the book I was sitting down to read last night, but I saw the email with this ARC on it, and in minutes I had the book downloaded and open! I was in the mood for an angsty, spicy romance and that's exactly what I got! It was fun too though! It was just so good and I binged it in one go. It had really good chemistry between the main characters and the Harts were the strong central family that pins the series together. I'll be looking forward to the rest of the books with the other Hart brothers!

Mostly skimmed through. It started out great until this line made me cringe

"I swivel around on my barstool to face her, grab her seat and pull her closer to me, making the wooden legs screech against the floor, my legs now on either side of hers. “Good girl.”" - They just met 😐

That pretty much set the tone for the entire story for me and I knew I wouldn't be able to get through it without cringing the entire time.

This book wasn't for me but why did I get it 3 stars? Because it had potential, it is well written but the whole dom/sub, good girl, daddy vibes aren't for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, new author to me VH Nicolson and I read this proudly as an ARC from Boldwoodbooks.

I was hooked straight away, Arianna joins the Hart Law firm to get revenge on Nathan’s father, however after meeting Nathan at a bar and unintentionally falling for him her plan falters, massively.

I fell in love with Arianna and Nathan and was rooting for them all the way. My heart throbbed in places, I was crying, screaming, leg kicking through it all, especially at the ending with Nathan’s dad, Daniel.. after getting the medication that starts helping him, he is able to help give Arianna some closure for the guilt she feels.😢

So many plot twists and side characters make this a really enjoyable story to follow. I read it in a day because I just could not put it down.

Brilliant billionaire workplace romance and I’m glad I have fallen upon this author as I’m excited to read the remaining of the 4 book series 💖

Love this billionaire romance. It has EVERYTHING you want from it, cranky workaholic lawyer and a determined strong minded woman who comes in and shakes up his life. Ari’s motives may have been firmly set on taking down the firm she’s just started working for but when she meets Head of the firm, Nathan she is shocked by her reaction to him. Their attraction and chemistry ensure plenty of scorching scenes while they hold back from telling each other how they truly feel. But it was the story line that kept me hooked, turning the pages and eager for more. The bond between the brothers was also something special and broke my heart at one point.
A brilliant first book of this new series and I can’t wait for more from these brothers.

This one had me hooked right from the start! I’ve read a few books by this author previously and I was really looking forward to this one!

The story is told in the POV’s of both of the main characters, Arianna and Nathan. I really enjoyed seeing the chemistry between these two and how it progressed.

I was so invested in Arianna’s story and whether she would manage to uncover what she so desperately hoped to.

I highly recommend this one if you love a forbidden romance.

Oh my! I absolutely loved this story. As a long time reader of @vhnicolsonauthor her words never fail to floor me in the best way. Nathan was literal perfection. There is no other word yo describe him. And Ari was his best and most favourite match. I loved seeing how they tried to deny their attraction but their chemistry and tension was amazing! I adored them so much.

I’ve read every book by this author, so I was really excited to read a new story from her. Arianna and Nathan’s book was the perfect introduction to the series. The story was interesting from the beginning, and I finished it in just one day. Arianna and Nathan’s chemistry was undeniable from the beginning, and I enjoyed reading how their relationship developed.

Arianna was trying to find out the truth about the accident her family had been in fourteen years ago, so she planned to get a job at Nathan’s law firm to see if his father was a corrupt man. But she never expected to meet Nathan before that and fall for his charm. They spent one passionate night together, even though Ari thought he might be the enemy.

Nathan met Ari at a bar and was interested in her from the start. He was attracted to her, but she acted like she wasn’t impressed. Still, she ended up going home with him. Later, when Ari started working at his law firm, they saw each other again. Even though she wanted to stay unnoticed, she ended up becoming his secretary. Nathan didn’t think she would last long at the job, but Ari was determined to prove him wrong.

Their attraction never went away, and their steamy scenes were very intense, especially when they tried to resist each other. Ari kept looking into the truth about the accident, but the more time she spent at the law firm, the more she realized that Nathan and his family were good people. As her relationship with Nathan got stronger, she decided to pause her investigation and enjoy the present.

I really liked how Nathan treated Ari and how he thought she was special from the beginning. Ari wasn’t afraid to challenge him, and I loved seeing how fascinated he became with her the more time they spent together. He was serious about her and gave her the time she needed to feel ready without pressuring her.

Ari was happy with Nathan, but things changed when her “friend” showed her a report about her family’s accident, making her question everything again. Nathan went to check on her and discovered all the information she had, which made him believe she was trying to ruin his father’s reputation. Ari realized the truth soon after, but before she could explain, Nathan ended things with her. They stayed apart for a while, but I loved how Ari helped Nathan’s brothers take down the person responsible for everything.

Nathan still thought about Ari during their time apart, and it was great to see how he chose to fight for her after learning what she had done with his brothers. They were meant to be together, so I was happy with how things worked out and how they started planning a future together.

I love billionaire romances, and Nathan and his brothers were all great characters. I’m excited to read their stories and learn more about their close family bond.

this is my first v.h. nicolson book but certainly won't be the last 😌

if you want something with light angst and a couple who actually communicates with each other then this might be right up your alley (which was a pleasant surprise for me). generally i'm not a fan of the insta-lust element in romance books, but as with any case, you just need to find the right one that works well and that happens to be the case for this book.

in this story, we have ari (arianna) (29) and nathan (44) who start off as a one night stand and then later we learn that with a twist of fate, ari ends up as nathan's secretary during her first day of work at nathan's family law firm, hart law. she originally applied at hart law to be a records clerk as a means to find the truth behind a tragedy in her past and seek justice. only, in this case, ari believes that nathan's own father was the lawyer who helped to exonerate someone who was responsible for the death of her family members. of course, a tale as old as time, as she gets more involved with nathan, ari catches feelings, she learns more about his family, and thus her own judgement about nathan's father's involvement in the lack of justice around her family's demise, becomes cloudy. and you could only guess what happens next when certain truths and deceptions are revealed...

ok so we do get a third act breakup around 85-90% in and while i understand it is frustrating, its actually one of my guilty pleasures. in my eyes, what makes or breaks a relationship is how the couple handles any challenges that come their way. in this case, the conflict was handled with more maturity than i was expecting and without giving away any spoilers: the party who was offended (gosh darn it i sound like a lawyer now!) didn't hold any petty grudges towards the offending party but the matter was handled with care with the support of their loyal friends ie

all in all, i liked that this was light and didn't have too many complications, in that the relationship wasn't as toxic as other billionaire boss-EA romances that i've read previously. i really enjoyed ari and nathan's banter and the goat yoga scene was a nice comedic touch. it really added to their budding relationship beyond the physical chemistry they shared. i also liked that nathan, while he portrayed himself as a masculine virile man who has great sexual prowess, he wasn't afraid to be vulnerable around ari and in his POV, we got to see that he was open to exploring a deeper connection with her rather than shutting her down or considering his romantic feelings as a hindrance to his career, so kudos to that. i also really enjoyed nathan's family members and his relationship with his brothers and parents.

my only problem (and the reason why this is a 3 star instead of 4 or 5) was i wish we got to explore the relationship between his siblings. their presence and the sibling relationship seemed very surface-level, for the lack of a better word. wish they were more involved in the story and other than max, we don't really see much going for the other siblings' personal lives. its funny because they are probably one of least toxic fictional billionaire families i read in a romance book but they rarely had any screen time in this story. also i don't believe any of the other books are about the siblings either, which is a pity because i would be totally open to reading about them as well because i rather enjoyed their presence in the story.

anyway, thank you netgalley and bold book club for providing an eARC and sorry i didn't read it sooner!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Nathan Hart should be illegal he's that hot!

Breaking His Law is a deliciously spicy billionaire boss romance set in a huge law firm in San Francisco that is owned by the Hart family.
Arianna is out for revenge against the firm that represented the man who ripped her world apart.
As someone who has lost so much at the hands of another only for it to be covered up, I truly felt that VH Nicolson captured the rage and hurt that comes from having everything you know taken from you. The writing feels authentic, and the author clearly understands and can convey with considerable skill complex human emotions onto the written page.

The prologue sets the scene perfectly for understanding Ari's immense loss and why years later, she's understandably out for revenge. I thought the balance between understanding Ari's feelings whilst telling the story of revenge amidst the smoking hot chemistry with Nathan was brilliant. Grief is such a complex process, and the author has captured the dichotomy of how sadness and joy can co-exist in a split second. Whilst grief and revenge is the initial driver of Ari's actions, the author hasn't allowed the book to become bogged down by it and the love story between Nathan and Ari shines through.

If you put the brilliantly written revenge plot aside, you have a smoking hot alpha male in Nathan, and the chemistry with Ari is intense. Whilst he's initially a bit of a boss hole when Ari shows up in his workplace, the development of his character through the course of the book is perfectly pitched.
Ari, like other VH Nicolson leading female characters, is hugely likeable - she's trying to be strong so she can avenge her family, but she shows vulnerability, too. Nathan's brothers and their banter is top-notch, and I can't wait to read their books. I also loved Nathan's mom, and everyone should have a Joseph as a work bestie.

If you like the following, then you'll love Breaking His Law:
✅️ Contemporary romance
✅️ Spicy, combustible chemistry
✅️ Billionaire romance
✅️ Workplace romance
✅️ Standalone books in a series with 4 hot brothers
✅️ Banter between siblings
✅️ Swoony moments

5-stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 100% recommend

📚 BOOK REVIEW 📚

Breaking His Law - @vhnicolsonauthor

"He smells like poor choices and bad ideas"

"Keep your eyes on me, baby"

"You make me want to burn down the world for you, protect you, and never let you go"

"Nathan's golden girl"

@vhnicolsonauthor has a written an absolute corker of a book in "Breaking His Law" and created a brand new world for us to absorb ourselves in.

This is a well written Billionaire Boss romance with a twist that delivers on all aspects and it may just be the author's best work yet and I say that as someone that has devoured each and every one of her books. She has clearly researched her topics well and as with each book she writes I was hooked right from the start.

We get an excellent prologue which gives us a great insight to Arianna and why she is out for revenge on the Hart family. It sets the tone perfectly but also allows us to experience the loss along with her. These complex feelings were written so beautifully that you can't help feeling for Arianna. The battle of her emotions were detailed well and grief was still so raw. And although she was out for revenge, she was relatable and likeable and I wanted her to find peace.

Nathan Hart was exquisite. He was deliciously powerful with a gooey center that made him powerless when it came to Arianna. The chemistry between the two characters was scorching hot and I'm surprised my kindle didn't go on fire.

I liked how the author portrayed the revenge storyline well and showed that grief really was the motivator. But she also showed how happiness can exist in a world whilst still grieving. She expertly got the balance right with these emotions and I liked how Nathan also had sadness that he was experiencing. Both very different but written well.

I adored these two together and they were absolutely perfect. The push and pull and the tension especially in the first quarter of the book was immense. I just couldn't put it down and I had to see where the story was going. I really enjoyed all the details of the case as well.

The good news is that Nathan has 3 other brothers and so we can go back and visit this world again. It's easily another 5 star read.

This is the first book I have read by this author. Having seen lots of good reviews I decided to start with this one. I was a bit disappointed with this book at first; I didn’t like the main characters, but I kept going. It took a while, but eventually I was drawn into the story. Arianna & Nathan are both highly focussed & driven individuals; Nathan is wedded to his job, working long hours as a highly successful personal injury lawyer at Hart Law. Arianna is on a mission when she starts at Hart Law, hoping to discover the truth about the accident that killed her family 10 years ago. Since the accident her whole life has been focussed on this moment. Family is so important for both Arianna & Nathan, but this will cause conflict between them as the story develops - her desire for justice for her family conflicts with Nathan’s love for his father & well-founded belief in his integrity. Shortly before Arianna begins her new job, they meet by chance in a bar & share a very hot night together. The day she starts work, Arianna unexpectedly gets a promotion - to be Nathan’s secretary. They work surprisingly well together - unusual for the man sometimes known as Mr Grumpypants. Their friendship & chemistry deepen but relationships between staff are forbidden so it gets tense at times. It gets increasingly hot between them, with many twists & turns along the way. I also loved the dynamics between Nathan & his brothers, so much fun banter between them! I enjoyed this book once I got into it, so much that I now want to read the next in the series.

Arianna had a one-night stand with her soon-to-be new boss, but that’s okay as she wouldn’t have caused him to bump into him, that’s until on her first day, she was promoted to his secretary.
This didn’t go down well with him, but left with no option, he accepted it.
This was only temporary for her, she’s there for one reason: to expose their cover-up and their defence of the man who killed her family in a horrific car accident.
The trouble is, she’s struggling to keep detached from Nathan, and he is with her too, their attraction is evident, and it’s highly charged between them. She’s exhausted with trying to stay away from Nathan, so she puts this aside for the moment.
When an opportunity arose to review her files, she found nothing untoward. Hart Law literally does everything by the book, the only weird thing was a redacted letter.
They soon became intertwined in a relationship without any labels; she introduced him to fun activities to help him relax and sleep better. I mean, who wouldn’t love goat yoga 🧘 🐐
When her “friend,” Julie, provided her with a copy of the police report, everything she feared came to fruition, and she retreated back to her place. Everything then fell apart, Nathan discovered her original plans to bring down his dad and the firm, Ariana then discovered the report was faked and that the man involved in the accident wasn’t at fault, her father was actually driving too fast, fog, and oil, etc. The man didn’t run away, he ran for help. He then set up a fund to pay for specialised foster care, her first car, tuition costs, etc.
Ariana felt so guilty for the rift this caused with his brothers, she plotted with Max to bring Julie down, which worked brilliantly.
I love how the story comes to such a rounded ending with them getting married and a plus one on the way too 😉

Arianna lost her family tragically in a car accident when she was fifteen. Determined to get to the truth of what happened, she has a plan to uncover corruption in the system. Having obtained a position to work at the law firm that represented the driver of the other vehicle, she is convinced that she will be able to find proof that something was covered up. What she didn’t expect, was to end up having a one night stand with one of the lawyers who worked at that firm a week before she started.

Nathan doesn’t do commitment, but he can’t get that one night stand out of his head. When the subject of his very vivid memories shows up in his boardroom, he demands that she take the position as his secretary so he can keep her close. Meanwhile, Arianna seems to be exactly what he needs, both in the office and out of it, and soon enough, he realizes that he can’t continue to deny that he wants her, regardless of the company policies on inter-office dating.

This book was absolutely delicious. The chemistry between Nathan and Ari was evident right from the beginning, and never faded as we got deeper into the story. Ari seems to not only get under Nathan’s skin, but instinctively know exactly what he needs in order to have more balance in his life. As conflicted as she was, you can tell how authentic her feelings for him are, and watching them bloom was beautiful.

Read in less than a day.

Ari is determined to expose the truth on the person who helped save the man who killed her family from jail. She meets Nathan in a bar which results in one of the best nights of her life

She goes to work on Monday and is thrust into a different role which means. Her and Mr Grumpypants are now seeing each other every day. Over the course of weeks these two develop a good working relationship while battling their feelings. They work fast and their relationship moves quicker than either expected. Now I will say had Ari just had a conversation with Nathan when she was found snooping she might not have had the 3rd act breakup.

Miscommunication trope isn’t my favourite and I would put this in this category as the MCs could have probably had a conversation to allow Nathan opportunity of answering Aris questions…… however the intent behind her not doing it was understandable she was caught between a rock and a hard place - avenging her family and the man she didn’t expect to love.

Overall this was a good first book in this series. What I did love was we didn’t get much about the brothers of Nathan so now we will be going in to their stories blind which I love.

I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to privilege of being able to read this book!

It has been too long since I've devoured a book, and boy did I with this book! This takes the cake as the best boss romance I've ever read. I did not want to put this down, I literally fell asleep trying to finish the last 80 pages because I needed to know how it ended. Well this had smut (really really good smut) this had plot! An actual 100% totally believable plot at that too, and it flowed so beautifully! I loved the characters, especially the brothers. The brothers remind me of the boys from the Bachelor Pact series by Cissy Mecca but these are actual brothers and they're hilarious!

The only issue I had was the ending. I adored it, but it felt really rushed. If the last two-three pages were maybe 10-15 pages longer that would have been perfect! I didn't want their story to stop, I'm really hoping to see more of them in hopefully future installments in hopefully a new series. I'm honestly head over heels with this book, and I need more of these characters!

Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart for creating a fantastic, fun, unputdownable book! I loved it!

Oh Vicki, this was SO good!!!

Breaking his law is book 1 in this new series featuring the Hart brothers and what a start to the series!

Nathan Hart is a lawyer who meets Arianna Donovan in a bar one night. She knows who he is but doesn’t let on. When a mix up with her new job means she ends up as his secretary sparks continue to fly, and despite Ari hiding a big secret, neither can deny their chemistry. Nathan falls so hard and fast for Ari, but how will he react when he uncovers the truth?

This was such a beautiful story that I couldn’t put down. I loved both Nathan and Ari, and really felt for them both in different ways. I don’t always love when there is a secret that is carried throughout a book but it worked well here. Vicki’s storytelling continues to captivate you and leave you wanting to know what’s going to happen next! The ending was lovely but I would have really liked a longer epilogue, and hope we see lots more of Nathan and Ari in the rest of the series. I’m so excited to read Eli, Max and Cole’s stories!

Huge thanks to the author, Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this ARC.

Ari's family died in a car accident when she was 15 years old, but the man who hit them, on a head-on collision, walked away free.

Since she's been old enough, she's been looking into the case and questioning the corrupt system and if the lawyer was paid off; getting into the law firm to get to the archive records was easy, not falling in love with her boss, and the son of the man who represented the driver, is the hard part.

Nicholson writes a novel that gives danger vibes; in certain chapters, I was scared for her and didn't want Nathan to find out why she was really there, and I also loved a reference to a previous novel, which I thought was really cleverly mentioned.

At first, I definitely found Nathan to be an unlikeable character, but this was done on purpose, showing him as angry and arrogant, and that it was Ari who would be the one to ground him and bring out the softer side to him.

Nicholson always writes strong female characters who know how to stand up for themselves and who know how to get what they want, and this novel continues this.

This is a new author for me this year, and one I will easily pick up every time.

Love it!!!
I was curious about it since the first post on VH insta, and so glad Boldwood Books give me the possibility to read it. (And this is my really and honest opinion)
I liked it since the first pages, it intrigued me to find why is she doing that and for what.
The characters and the relationship between them is write and described very well, made me feel the chemistry.
Also liked the plot, even though it is not something I haven't read already, but it didn't take from the beauty of the story or my curiosity.
VH always writes her books so so good and makes you fell in love with the FMC and MMC.
And also now very curious about what it is next and what the tropes will be for her next book.
And in my opinion that it is a great book, when you read it and immediate whant the next.

It's a story that delivers an emotional hit from the start. As we relive Ari's nightmare childhood experience, it's clear why it defines her. Ari is out for revenge, but meeting Nathan changes things. Nathan and his brothers are billionaire lawyers. They are reknown for their ethics, but Ari believes differently. After an unforgettable night, Ari goes to work at Nathan's company, but things don't go as expected, and she finds she is working directly with Nathan. I like the complex characters and the raw emotion this story explores. It makes the couple relatable and easy to invest in. Even though you can see the dangers ahead, you hope for a positive outcome. The romance is hot, but the conflicts are many, and right to the end, you are not sure.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
