I loved this series. It was great to see both sisters side. The games that were played were insane and plot twist after plot twist.. also talk about falling in love with a devil?! Both MMC in both books did not disappoint!
This was my second time reading Phantasma and it was just as good as the last. I really loved the set up of the Phantasma game and the dynamic between Ophelia and Blackwell. While I felt there was a good buildup to the climax, the climax felt a bit rushed and under explained. When she found that Blackwell was also the creator of the game, instead of letting that plotwist settle, it was quickly resolved and the book ended. The buildup to the finale made it worth it and the reason why I rated it 4 stars.
With Enchantra I also enjoyed the dynamic between vivi and Rowin, as well as his siblings, but felt especially in this book the final twist felt super rushed and didnt make a ton of sense. There was a lot of context that we were missing, that we should have known being in Vivi's perspective. The "betrayal" felt so random and the explanation felt rushed, basically a summary of a big plot point that we should have experienced with the Protagnist, not have explained.
In both books the back and forth between the duos was interesting and fun, but also sometimes a bit too much of back and forth. It felt like every minute the female main characters changed their minds about the guys, and the guys decided to throw a fit.
While the plot at the end felt a bit rushed, I kinda enjoyed that as I am impatience and kinda hate drawn out tension. Even though I have a few problems with the books pacing, I found myself not being able to put either book down and am eagerly waiting for the next book in the series.

A combination of deadly games and dangerous romantic tropes.
The first book follows Ophelia, who enters the competition in hopes of finding her lost sister. But the mansion is haunted by more than just monsters. The winner gets a wish fulfilled, but the journey is both perilous and seductive.
The second focuses on Genevieve, who wants to discover the truth behind her mother’s death—and it seems Enchantra might be the only place to look. Another stranger, another offer of help, another deal. But is it worth the trade and the trust? She still needs to figure that out.
My favourite part here was the magic that interlaces everything in the story. The development on the sorcery side was definitely top-notch, with high-stakes tension and a strong romantic trope. Though I would say I could have enjoyed it more had the spice level been a bit mellower. The challenges, on the other hand, were surely something you can pin your hopes on!
The plot resemblance to Caraval is unmistakable, but the character roles, spiciness, and supernatural creatures are definitely higher in this one. I recommend readers approach this duology with a clean slate to enjoy it more—otherwise, you might find yourself stuck in a loop of comparisons.
The fake partnership turned into an uncanny, reluctant relationship filled with distrust and chemistry will keep you hooked. Each book has its own setting that builds on a similar style but is distinct enough to be read individually.
I gotta admit it, these books had just the right vibe for an easy and enjoyable read. I was surprised I liked them bc Dark Romantasy is usually a hit or miss for me, but these were really good.
📌Ranking the books It is hard to pick because both books deserve the same rating in my opinion 🤷🏽♀️They kind of complete eachother, one has what the other lacks. Sooo that being said.... 🎀Fantasy + Trials wise : PHANTASMA >>>> Enchantra
🎀Characters + Romance and Spice wise : ENCHANTRA >>> Phantasma
( 3.75⭐ )
As a fantasy reader at core, and in my UNPOPULAR HUMBLE opinion, I liked Phantasma a bit more 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ But i am Genevieve and Rowin Stan . So do with that what you will.
Also this pains me to say as a cat lover but UMBRA 🦊>>>> Poe 🐱
📌Genevive >>> Ophelia I love me a bratty curvy bitch boss girly ( i dont hate ophelia tho she is chill too )
📌Rowin >>> BlackWell I love me a tattooed pierced dark hair man
Genevive x Rowin couple for the win! I liked their trope more and he groveled for her .Reeeally groveled.
I recently finished Phantasma, and I couldn’t stop thinking about the "Stephanie Garber vibes". If you loved the "deadly game" vibes of Caraval but wanted something darker and way more adult, Phantasma is the answer. The Similarities: The Sisters: Two sisters at the center of a magical mess (just like Scarlett and Tella). The Trials: A high-stakes competition in a parallel reality (Enchantra vs. Caraval). The Magic: Lush, atmospheric, and "nothing is what it seems." The Vibe Shift: Caraval: Pure YA, whimsical magic, and the ultimate slow burn. Phantasma: Gothic horror vibes, higher stakes, and major spice. Bottom Line: Phantasma is essentially Caraval’s older, darker, and much more scandalous sister.

Audible - 4.6⭐️ I love these “game“ books and the tasks they have to complete. So cleverly written and fun! Good actors/narrators. I thought book 2 was more fun than the first in the duet. Book 2 actually gets five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amazing, I can see thing turning into a series coming together nicely and I’m here for it, as said in my review for enchantra on here I’m very excited to have this play out as I imagine it will
