Yesterday, Tom and his wife Kate were just a regular couple looking for some much-needed down time. After deciding on a cottage country getaway, the two had settled in at the Wolf Paw Couples Resort in small-town Rouge Valley, a scenic but remote woodland locale. Their serene vacation would be short lived, though, as the couple make a grisly discovery in the woods nearby...sending them spiraling into a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse in which the stakes are survive, by any means necessary.

An interesting debut crime/thriller novel. I enjoyed the little nuggets of names used for locations throughout the story that people from the GTA/Durham Region would recognize.

I wasn't sure where this story was going from the beginning, but it kept me interested and invested in Tom, Kate, and Bear's well-being.

I hope Evan has more stories to share with us readers!
