Shee McQueen: Bloodlines

Enjoy as a standalone or as your next fix in the heart-stopping series!

An invitation to an elite tactical training retreat unleashes a torrent of family secrets for Shee McQueen and her band of Loggerhead mercenaries.

Getting an invitation to a vacation camp on a secluded island is strange enough. When that invitation references a mother you've never met? Practically a dare.

Half the Loggerhead crew travels to the Philippines, only to find the locals at the private island's small port appear battle-tested and armed. No one is talking. There's blood on the ground at the fortress-like base camp, and it's clear someone's been taken. They've walked hip-deep into a conspiracy hatched by a rogue kill squad with ties to Shee's family.

Back in Florida, it seems Shee's drama is creeping close to home when a mysterious stranger arrives bearing the same ominous tattoo as the island killers.

If Shee can't unravel the island's secrets fast—they'll be dead before dawn.

Family reunions turn deadly in this Shee McQueen special event by USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and Amazon All-Star bestselling author Amy Vansant.

I won this book in a goodreads drawing.

Shee and the group get an invitation to a remote island in the Philippines for training/spa days. It's owned by the mysterious mother Shee has never met. Of course, it's a trap.

Reminded me a bit of Romancing The Stone.

I loved this book. When is this series going to come out as an audio book? Because it is definitely one I want to add to my collection, that way I can enjoy it again and again. Failing that I would watch it on tv, it was that good. There is so much action and humour included in the stories that you kind of need to experience it again. The first time round you are too worried about the characters or are trying to work out what is going on and the second time knowing what happens you can sit back and just enjoy. This is because not only is there a lot of guns going off and action but the story is split between two sets of characters. Shee and the rest of the able members of the loggerhead team head to a remote island for a mysterious rendezvous and the loggerhead manager and tec genius hold down the forte. Both sets of teams run into problems and as the story is split you have to wait for one team to get in trouble before finding out how the other team gets out of theres. This sounds confusing but it actually works for the story and held my attention all the way, so much so that I didn't want to put it down. I really like this band of misfit characters and the antics they find themselves in. I can't wait for the next book.

When a mystery invite arrives, inviting the ex mercenaries that call the loggerhead home to a luxury tactical training center on a remote island, they jump at the chance to go. Especially when they learn that the person who runs it has a connection to one of them. However when they arrive the welcome committee is carrying guns and not in a good way. Cut off from the rest of the world can Shee and the rest of the team make it off the island. At the same time things at the loggerhead aren't going smoothly either and an unexpected guest has the manager breaking out the big guns. Can she protect the home front till the heavy hitters make it back?

WOW! This book is full of uncertainty, action-action-action, shoot 'em up - bang, bang, bang, and no access to leave the island. The entire crew of Loggerheads (except Timmer and Ethan) are invited to the island for a vacation and elite tactical training by Shee's mother, who she's never seen. They fight to stay alive and save a woman who claims to be Shee's mother, but she's not. Lots of bad guys killed. When the Russian Leader arrives on island and is killed, Shee and Mason almost kills Shee's half-brother, but find the Russian's boat and take him to the hospital. The entire crew head back home. In the meantime, Angelina is having her hands full by mercenaries who show up and want a room. When they see the tatoos, they know they're in trouble. Angelina and Snookie take matters into their own hands. One guy gets away with Ethan, and apparently they want information that has been hidden by Shee's mother. Ethan is saved by Shee's real mother, and Shee finally meets her before she says good-bye. I would like see more books about Shee and Mason, but it says this book is the end of the series. Bah-Humbug!!! Maybe one last book that wraps up all the characters. Thank you Ms. Vansant ... I loved each of the books in this series. Happy writing because I'm a happy reader.

This is the ninth in the Shee McQueen series. People are never who you expect them to be. There were plenty of twists, turns, and backtracks to surprize me.

Shee and company learn things about Mick's past that impacts all of them. Without giving anything away, this book spans two continents, and plenty of bad guys.

In the end Shee tells us what's important to her.

Loved it!

People Are Never Who You Expect Them To Be
This book is the ninth in a very good series. All of these stories are clean thrillers. There is no foul language, some violence, and no gore. This story started off with a weird invitation, and nothing went in a normal fashion after. The story kept my attention, and I did not want to put it down. It did end in an odd manner, and it left me wanting more. I already can't wait for the next episode.

“Shee McQueen: Bloodlines” by Amy Vansant is an action-packed thriller full of sharp wit, family secrets, and danger. When Shee is lured to a remote retreat in the Philippines, a hidden connection to her past is revealed—and so is a deadly threat. With fast pacing, clever banter, and plenty of suspense, this thriller delivers a gripping ride from start to finish.

Some women shouldn’t be mothers and Shee’s mom is one of them. The Florida crew accepts an invite to the Philippines to participate in the training group Shee’s mom runs. Instead they find themselves trying to outwit and outmaneuver a group that has taken over the island. Lots of action and close calls. Definitely a great addition to the series.

Fast paced, exciting and humorous. Shee and half the crew head to a training island and encounter more than they bargained for in life threatening fights whilst the crew remaining at the Inn have their own set of problems too. This is an entertaining and enjoyable story.

Another great Shee McQueen book. I don’t know how Amy Vansant keeps coming up with books that are better than the last one, but she does. Fast paced suspense that keeps drawing you in, rooting for the good guys. I love this series.

Exciting Adventure

She's McQueen and the Loggerhead crew get caught up in old spy business involving her mother. Fast paced and enjoyable. A terrific read. The only criticism I had is very little is mentioned of the Philippines.

Book 9 in the series

Shee and some of the other experienced people from Loggerheads are invited to attend a training camp and vacation in the Philippines on a private island. Things are not what they seem to be. A great story.
