About the author

In his work as a journalist, Tim Hall has written for the Guardian, the Daily Telegraph and various magazines. His debut novel, Shadow of the Wolf, is a fantastical re-imagining of the Robin Hood legends. The story continues with the forthcoming Dark Fire.

He lives in Gloucestershire, England, with his wife and their two daughters.

I really enjoyed the first book in this trilogy, but was a tad disappointed by the sequel. I grew to dislike Marian a lot, and found the story to be dragged out unnecessarily. But in this, the final instalment, all that changed. Quick-paced, action-packed, and exciting - a fantastic ending to a Robin Hood adaptation that is very different.
