I found a lot of typographical errors in this book, especially in the sections on verb tenses, that could be confusing to a beginning Latin student. It certainly is not good to start out learning the incorrect form of a verb and then have to relearn it later on! Thankfully, I know enough Latin that I was able to recognize the errors in this book, but one who knows no Latin at all might learn some incorrect verb conjugations if they were to rely on this book. Please get a better Latin book than this one if you are serious about learning Latin correctly. Begin with the "Practice makes perfect" series or "Wheelock's Latin," both of which are two excellent books from which to learn the Latin language.

I gave the book two stars because there is some interesting cultural information in the second half of the book.

Face it, you're not going to learn Latin or any other language in 7 days. But if you want a quick overview to become familiar with the language, this is a helpful starting point.
