Demon was working on my man Rashad’s nerves real bad. I love how he was giving lots of BDE and he stood firm in what he said and did. Demon just had to stop playing around. ❤️

Twist after twist!

Wilson and Bolt got to go! Anyway, I loved seeing the soft side of Demi and Rashad! I knew how he was stepping behind Demi and I loved it! He wasn’t playing with her but she wasn’t playing behind him either! I was hoping the ex got more than a punch in the face! I’m so ready for Mr player Malik to find his forever! I feel like his story will be a bit more emotional! In the real though you ain’t have to end it like that! Demi really about to be on demon time!

POWER Dup

My goodness, 🤦🏾‍♀️NOT another adversary 🥴‼️I’m enjoying the “A Dallas Summer Series”. However, I’m simultaneously exhilarated, anxious, frustrated & annoyed 🤭 by “A Dallas Summer With A Gangsta - Book 3” the distractions & comedic moments created with Demi & Rashad’s infinite psychotic banter. …some of their “bat 💩 worthy‼️🫣😮” antics 💭 (No spoilers, you’ll have to read it yourself to appreciate it🤷🏾‍♀️) 🔥🚒🧯😵‍💫😂🤣. Nevertheless, still a great read/series to date. Meanwhile, there were elements of this “Dallas Summer” series is/was reminiscent of the original show POWER: Miami connect, urban pharmaceuticals, Club Truce, a crescendo arrest etc. There’s a “big rich town” POWER Dup parallel between these two forms of urban artistic expressions. Will the final installment reveal “this is where it goes down; the Jones brothers just happen to come up hard; legal or illegal, baby, they gotta make it” ….🫣🤩

They Are The Most Unhinged Couple Ever!!

Rashad and Demi stood ten toes down behind each other once they quit faking they couldn't stand each other. Demi is in her soft girl era around Rashad. Demi doesn't have to be as hard when she's around him Especially since her parents are gone. I like how they fuss and fight then they make up. Those Jones brothers are some different kind of beasts. I can't wait to for Malik to find his match. I think it's funny when Bolt comes out to their club they get arrested. When they get out they got them to their territory so they can torture them. They don't have to go Miami. It's lights out for the detective and Bolt. Then Carmen and Kayla to have their kids.

Who knew one weekend in Miami would change the dymanic of Demi and Rashad’s roles in each other’s lives. I mean these 2 hated to love each other. That’s the best way I’d describe it. Grew up together, been frenenemies, and stay bickering. His brothers are dating her 2 best friends so they pretty much stuck with always being in close proximity.

Well let’s just say despite the way they fought it, Miami changed everything. Then coming home and getting caught up in the drama. Baby it all went left. You got condos and cars on fire, kidnapping, houses being shot up, a one of a kind date, amazing sex, you name it, it’s going down. Rashad was a fine unhinged, unstable man. Demi knew his screws were loose but she knew she could push him and when to fold.

I loved that no matter what they always had each other’s back. If she called he came, if he forced her hand she folded. They were a menace alone BUT together they were the best kind of crazy. These 2 were written in the best way and I enjoyed this book from start to finish. The plot twist definitely continued to twist us up but I’m looking forward to seeing how the brothers come out as a whole.

2.5 ⭐

There's toxic love and then there's whatever the hell this is. I don't ever want a love like this and I definitely don't want to read about it. They were both violent...to others and each other. Destructive....he burnt down her condo and she tried to destroy his car. The added complication of her boyfriend was unnecessary considering the drama with her parents.

I don't think I'll be finishing the series or reading from this author again.

Rashad and Demi!

The storyline gets wilder and wilder. Let's start off with the FMC and MMC. They are both crazy characters who are now crazy in love. They went from setting each other's property on fire to getting hot and spicy. Andre was thoroughly confused, lol. Let's get into the street drama. If it wasn't one opt it was another opt. Detective Wilson had a plan that he thought he executed properly. Until Shelly broke it all down.

Rashad was a menace. He didn't give any f's and made it clear. He didn't play any games when it came to his family or Demi and I loved their hate love relationship. That ending though... lawd these endings be having me. Lemme go head and read the finale cuz baby, I know Malik just as crazy.

My Faves

Enemies to Lovers…they were my favorite because they were both lowkey crazy as hell about each other and eventually learned they didn’t play about each other regardless of their hate for each other

3.7 stars .. This was my least favorite of the series so far. It was a bit repetitive. Rashad and Demi also worked my nerves with the back and forth for over 60% of the book. Detective Wilson and his antics are also getting very old.

Demi and Rashad hate each other--don't they? Of course, they don't but Demi refuses to let her guard down with Rashad and he's too busy being stone-faced and unaffected to admit he likes her too. But now with danger everywhere, he's honor bound to protect Demi, whether she wants it or not.

I love a good antagonists to lovers romance. Demi and Rashad were lying to themselves and it was funny watching it trip them up again and again. Rashad as the unhinged brother played very well--he was my type definitely. Demi thinking she was going to get to have a boyfriend was very ill-timed on her part, lol. And his side plot didn't give me much, tbh. I could have done without it. Plus, the intrigue with the boys' business is kinda taking over at this point. I wish I had more Demi and Rashad by themselves.

The threat against the boys is getting more convoluted, and by this book I'm a little bored with it. I don't necessarily need the shock value of it all. But watching Rashad in action was decent. He really lived up to his persona.
