It all started with a ride. Malik didn't feel right with Toi's living conditions. Especially when she told him about her fearful situation back home. He is practically handling business with his brother's locked up. Alexia is real grimy with her ish. Not only was she their lawyer, but she was a witness to to testify against them. Detective Wilson was still talking mess knowing he about to die. Time was trying to talk his way out of getting killed. Melissa and Chanel would do anything for money, they spiteful, bitter and jealous because Malik didn't wife neither of them. Malik manned up and told Toi that he wanted her and Christopher in his life. So Malik is going stand ten toes down with her and Christopher and his brother's
This last installment was everything I thought it would be. I’m glad they were able to put all the pieces to the puzzle together and handled every enemy! I loved how Malik stepped behind Toi! His sprit was great! I enjoyed seeing the softer side of him when he was with Toi and Christopher! I was hoping for an epilogue where they all got married and had their children with the exception of Demi and Rashad LOL! Hopefully since no epilogue will get a Christmas book or something (Hint! Hint!)
Not my boy Malik was down bad for a month and come back only for ish to still be in an uproar. Not Kadeem, Andre, and Rashad get arrested and now Malik has to figure out wtf is going on and how to get his brothers out.
Who would have thought the bartender at your new club would say something to you and it lead to so much more. Baby the night Toi said what she said to Malik I think she imprinted herself to him without even trying. Malik was drawn to Toi in a way he couldn’t explain and while trying to figure it out he was determined to keep her protected at all cost.
Toi was running from her past while trying to keep herself and her son safe. The way she and Malik fought to give and take with each other was comical. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the baby brother of the Jones do the exact opposite of what he said he wouldn’t be. Malik said he was for the streets and ended up becoming a family man.
The way they bonded and connected no matter how hard they tried to fight it was cute. I mean Toi brought Malik a peace and comfort he didn’t know he needed and Malik gave Toi a sense of protection and safety she had always longed for. Reading their story unfold was everything because if anyone deserved to love and be loved it was Malik and Toi. He never knew what it was like to be committed to one person and she never knew what it was like to be free and loved.
This series was everything and I loved each brother in their own special way. MUST READ SERIES!!!! You did that Khemistr!
Collateral Damage: a Jones Enterprise montra🤭‼️ “A Dallas Summer With a Gangsta (Dallas Summer Series) - Book 4 of 4” was a fantastic read and an entertaining series‼️The Jones’ brothers are/were my newly minted most memorable literary families in 2025 & definitely ranked in the top ten favorite literary families in my active forty years of reading. Thereafter, although the youngest sibling Malik’s impressive solo reconnaissance mission demonstrated only “kicks & giggles” were for kids. His sadistic tool box arsenal primarily contained: head & body shots with an occasional rat, machete & or grinder etc.😲😬🤦🏾♀️‼️THERAPY‼️Nonetheless, this former self proclaimed playboy and converted power ranger employed: bodies, bullets & bombs for a love & family journey of his own 🥰🤭‼️…Thank you, for the experience. Well done Ms. Latrisha💐‼️
This book is my favorite out of the series. Malik character development was top tier. Going from a playboy to a lover boy while taking care of home and the business 🫦. Toi story was very traumatic. It took Tou a while to come around and trust Malik, but he kept spoking life into her. When she found herself, she stood up to her father.
On to the business side of things. Malik held it down while his brothers were locked up. From getting information to getting to the bottom of things, he did what was needed. He had multiple problems to solve at one time. That man is a multi-tasker, lol. I can't believe Alexia, smh. Everyone got what they deserved in the end.
Sidenote: I like how the author, well Kadeem 😀 let each relationship have their own epilogue. Great writing, Latrisha!
The finale to the Jones’ brothers series did what it needed to do and gave what it needed to give. All of the questions were answered. All of the missing pieces were addressed. Malik finally found someone to simmer him down. His and Toi relationship was definitely a good time. I loved this series and the entire family. I wouldn’t mind a mini-novella to catch us up on the babies and some updates with the couples. I love this author. When she drops a book, I will always get it and support!
This was the perfect ending to this series and I'm so glad it was with Malik! His story was just as crazy as his brothers and seeing how things finally tied together further was great. I loved Toi for him and how he went out of his way for her. We all need men like the Jones Brothers. I'd take either of them. Great series.
Malik and Toi were the sweetest. I loved all 4 books it was perfect push back. The push back didn’t last long. I say that because some books the women tend to annoy you when the stubbornness is overboard. Not this one nor were the other ones annoying. The women got with the program rather quickly.
Malik is the young hothead, always ready to ride and with all three of the older brothers in jail, he's got to ride alone. But then he meets Toi, his club's bartender, who is running from her past in a really unexpected way. And even with everything already at stake, Malik decides to help.
So this was the finale, and I was intrigued enough to get to this point, which says something. I like Toi for Malik. She was the calm to his storm and even as he wrecked shit behind her and her child, she was making his home something worth coming back to. I like when the characters fill a space within each other like they did. I will say her past threw me for a loop and I'm not sure I bought all the way in. It felt like there was a little too much going on.
As for how everything wrapped up with the brothers, I have to say it felt anticlimactic. The players, the puppet masters, even the reasons behind it all. It felt like... I wanted it to be more compelling. But it kept me until the end, so who knows?
