Why do many anymals gather in family and larger groups? Why do dophins 'click' and wolves howl? How do lions hunt together and how do chimpanzees defend themselves?
These and hundreds of other fascinating animal behaviour questions are answered in this new set of books about animal life.
The books provide fascinating insights into the activities and bodies of all sorts of animals, from wolf communication to dolphin hearing and from penguin's feet to elephant trunks. In each book there are detailed examples of how animals behave and how they relate to each other. Each book also has lots of photos and specially drawn illustrations. After you have read the book, if you are interested in finding out more about a particular animal look at the Further Reading section on page 30. It lists books and websites to check out. A Glossary on page 31 explains words that you may not be familiar with, and the Index on page 32 tells you where you where in the book to find a particular animal, behaviour, or place.
