Thirteen-year-old Namida's father gets sick and is exiled to Earth to recover. Unless she can conjure up a plan, she and her mom will have to go to Earth, too. When she learns that her father's replacement wants to trash her father's work and replace humans with new robots, Namida enlists her two friends to help her become the indispensable expert on her father's programs, so that she can save humanity and her father at the same time. But when she accidentally triggers a group of the creepy replacement bots to go berserk, they start ripping the space station apart. With the lives of over two thousand crew members at stake, Namida must lead her new "honey-bots" she and her friends created to battle the rogues. The trouble is, all she's taught them to do so far is dance.
This was such a good read! The story gave a very fun and believable perspective of what being born and raised in space could be like and what life on Earth could look like to someone who has never been before. The story is fast paced and keeps you wondering what will happen next to Namida and her family and friends! It’s a great book if you’re new to Sci-fi or if you’ve been a fan of the genre for a long time!
Super fun scifi adventure for upper middle grade readers. Strong female young teen lead character is funny, naive, smart, stubborn, and opinionated. A born leader, she must learn to trust her friends and mentors while remaining true to herself if she is going to have any chance of saving the day against seemingly insurmountable odds.
I love this book! While it is directed towards middle school readers it clearly is a story that can be enjoyed by all ages. It is has a refreshing and original story line and I really appreciate the growth of the main character through the book. A five star read!
I loved this book! It leaves you hoping for a sequel. This book is listed as a middle school age book but it really isn't just for kids. The author is a very descriptive writer and you can just picture what is going on in the story.
