They have crossed each other's path twice before. The third time will be their last. King knows that until he finds and kills the former MI6 assassin then he will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life. But Collins is the best there is. Trained by King's mentor before being 'retired' on psychotic grounds, the former Australian SAS trooper and mercenary with a blood lust has King in his sights. For King, this is a personal vendetta, but for Richard Collins, it's pure pleasure...
It is great to have Alex and the team back. King is on the hunt for Collins, a former teammate turned assassin. He has been drummed out of every organization he has been a part of because of his lust for violence and killing. Meanwhile Catherine is in jail on trumped up charges because some dirty government higher ups have their own agenda. So high up that they could have an asset in her cell before she even got brought in. Even the guards have been bought and paid for. Caroline's instinct for survival is quite high, those attempting to take her life, not so much. Jail breaks are fun. There is a refreshing amount of action in this one. The Alex King series is a must read.
Good story line overall, but the situation with King’s nemesis, Collin’s is just getting stupid. Who gets burned in the face, singeing the eyelids and blistering the face, but is Okay in 3 days to seek revenge only to get burned in the face again by scalding water…only to survive that and drive away, then without disguises, gets into Saudi Arabia, where he gets his right eye ripped out, dumped over a bridge abutment to land on the roof of a passing truck, and survives. Absolutely, without a doubt the dumbest most ridiculous series of events. The series has gone to sh*t.
Loved this episode. Intrigue, secrecy and tension in equal measure. The characters really doing what the have been developed to do. An excellent development in the saga. Next please...
