One city drenched in shadow. Too many enemies to count. Can sunshine and sweetness win the day for good?
I've faced a lot of challenges with my new mates, but nothing on the scale of a massive rift belching toxic shadows all over a city. It seems the monstrous realm we came from is feeling left out—and it's determined to take a piece of the mortal world for itself.
My power may be the only thing that can put a dent in the darkness, but it's a very small dent. And it's awfully hard to get even that much done when we've got refugee humans to wrangle, trigger-happy soldiers to dodge, and a whole horde of hunters eager to show off their shadow-slaughtering skills.
With the catastrophe stirring up the worst of my men's past traumas, can we find our way through the dark together? Or is this one mess too big for even the shiniest of monsters?

Book 3 in the series and it delivered! I just love this group so much and I wondered how they were going to handle the events book 2 ended on (sorry, trying to remain spoiler-free) - my heart was tugged.
🌟Thank you Book Sirens for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!🌟
I enjoyed this as a urban fantasy novel and as a final entry in the Pack of Outcasts series, it had that element that I enjoyed from Eva Chase's previous writing and as the previous two books in the Pack of Outcasts series. I enjoyed the plot and enjoyed how it uses the paranormal reverse harem and was engaged from start to finish. The characters were everything that I was wanting and was invested in what was happening with them. Eva Chase writes a strong storyline and am excited for more from her.

Wow, what a ride this trilogy was. I loved Peri and mates. Best pack of outcasts I’ve read. I’m sad to see this is the last book. I really enjoyed this series.
5 Star - Couldn't put this book down. Its stay up late reading and be late to work good. 4 Stars - Couldn't put this book down but I still got a goodnights sleep 3 Stars - An enjoyable read that took me a few days to a week to finish 2 Stars - An okay book that I struggled to get through in places - next book is still on my TBR list 1 Stars - DNF
I’ve been all in on this series the entire time, and I was so ready to get to the finale; to see how they would basically save the world.
I was hooked on the suspense, on the action. And I liked how it intersperses with romantic (and sometimes sexy!) times with Peri and her men. I liked seeing them work together and support each other, like they were truly becoming a found family.
I do feel like it moved at warp speed towards the end, and I think I would have loved just a little more relationship development between her men. But overall this was a great ending to a fun series and I can’t wait to see what Eva Chase has in store for us next.
I give myself credit for finishing this series because it was truly awful. I'm really disappointed in Eva Chase. Her series are usually great. This one was crap. I definitely expected more from her.
In my review of book 2 I said that my issue with this series is Peri. I really can't stand her. She was like a cartoon character with rainbows coming out her a**. Her sickly sweet and perfect disposition didn't make me feel happy with her. It made me want to smack her and tell her to join the real world. She also seemed like an airhead making dumb decisions run by the emotions her character was all about. While I didn't mind her guys, the whole harem was a bit weird and I felt the love scenes were quick and forced.
Now let's talk about that ending. OMG, was anyone else rolling their eyes like I was? I mean, the whole idea of "let's hold hands and sing cumbaya" came to mind. The whole ending was preposterous in my opinion. The series was almost like a fantasy children's book where love makes everything better and saves the day.
The pacing of this series was super slow. There was repetitiveness as if you might forget how characters feel or think. The plot was practically non moving until the last few chapters.
Yes, I know my review is harsh. But, I can't help it. A romance writer making the solution to the plot be LITERALLY love...🙄 I just couldn't get on board with it.
I absolutely loved this book. It was the perfect blend of suspense, drama and love. The writing was phenomenal it sucked you in from the beginning right until the end. The story and plot flowed smoothly and was easy to keep up with.
Peri and her men face new and bigger challenges in this book but with the power of acceptance, determination and a whole lot of kindness they were able to overcome everything. There were moments where I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see how things would play out. There were deeper dives into feelings and accepting good and bad and everything in between, we got glimpses of realities that many face in the real world and how some like to pretend they don’t exist or just want to get rid the problem instead of sorting it out properly. But in the end everything worked out and our characters get to live a semi peaceful life surrounded by eachother and love.
The relationships between our main characters were written beautifully. Mirage, Raze, Jonah, Hail and Peri’s relationship started off as tolerable but over time has become one of the best love stories I’ve read. The acceptance and growth that each character went through is amazing and the spice wasn’t just spice it was written in a way that showcases the love between each of them.
Overall this was an amazing read, I’m sad to say goodbye to all of the characters especially peri with her perkiness and gift to always see the good in everyone. More people should be like that in my opinion lol. Can’t wait to see what Eva has in store next.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️.5/5
Tropes: Bubbly fmc Rh Second book in a series Grumpy/sunshine Forced proximity Powers Powerful fmc Teacher/student Touch her and die Bond marks Hea 3rd and final book in a trilogy
Warped World delivers an engaging and action-packed finale to the Pack of Outcasts trilogy, blending urban fantasy, romance, and plenty of character development into one compelling story. Set in a city overwhelmed by toxic shadows, our heroine Periwinkle must harness her unique powers to fight a threat that not only endangers innocents, but also forces her and her bonded mates to face deep-seated traumas from their pasts.
Eva Chase excels at crafting a narrative with high stakes and vibrant world-building. The battle against the shadows provides constant suspense, while the interplay between supernatural conflict and the daily struggles of the characters keeps the pace lively. The mix of action and wit makes this a satisfying read for fans of urban fantasy who like a sunshine-hearted heroine paired with dangerous yet devoted companions.
What truly stands out is the emotional journey of the characters: their teamwork and growth feel earned, and Chase balances darker themes with moments of humor and heart. The romance elements are steamy and threaded naturally throughout the plot, adding depth without overwhelming the storyline.
While the book wraps up well for series fans, new readers might find themselves a bit lost without prior familiarity with the first two volumes. Still, for those who’ve followed Peri’s journey, Warped World is a rewarding conclusion that brings imaginative world-building and dynamic character arcs together in a satisfying way.
Overall: A thrilling urban fantasy with strong character dynamics and plenty of heart — perfect for readers who enjoy supernatural battles, found family themes, and romance woven into the action.
As with the other books in the series, Peri continues to be her sweet self despite the challenges she is facing. Peri has shown some growth and although she has lost some of her naivety she has learned how to stand up for herself, in the most Peri way possible. If anyone can win over Rollick (besides Quinn) it's Peri! This is a dual narrated audiobook and Vanessa Moyen is so good at balancing Peri's never ending optimism with her strong sense of determination. Aiden Snow never disappoints either and his Hail is still my favourite although Mirage is good fun.
The series has a satisfying conclusion however it never quite matched the first book for me. The rift subplot didn't grasp me in the same way as the Academy and Peri's captor did and as the relationships had settled following on from book two the romance subplot took a bit of a back seat. Hail and Mirage have a little bit of development in this one with Hail showing once and for all that he has changed which I did enjoy though.
The book leaves the human/shadowkind world changed for good and it'll be interesting to see what the impact will be for any future series.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
Absolutely perfect way to end the series! I was a little nervous there regarding the military force's actions and intentions, but Peri and her group were thankfully, able to pull everything off without too much of a hitch. It was super fulfilling to see everything come full circle regarding emotions and where Peri started to where she ended. I was happy to see so many shadowkind find their courage and determination. It added a nice extra layer to the side characters growth development. Definitely sad it's over, but grateful for the opportunity to read it early and to see this wonderful story play out completely.
There was a good bit of spice mixed in with some group scenes and some just couples. They were quicker and not as in depth to keep the story pace going and the book on the shorter end, so I can appreciate that.
Would definitely recommend the series for anyone who's looking for a fun paranormal why choose completed series.
Favorite Quote: I’ve spent years trying to bring happiness to everyone, wanting to see them safe rather than hurting them. But isn’t there an even deeper joy in facing the danger side by side and finding a way to tackle it? - Periwinkle
Eva Chase did a phenomenal job writing The Pack of Outcasts series. I enjoyed the humor and the spice throughout the series and especially in this final installment. All the main characters brought something to the table and their different personalities were strong and flowed well. Thanks to Perri and her optimism and patience. She helped bring balance strength to their team and the growth within them all. The relationships in this book continued to grow and strengthen. These connections were vital to this story. I enjoyed the different perspectives we got in this series vs. the view from her other books within this same world. This one gave a different vibe all together thanks to the characters and their uniqueness. Warped World is the finale to this series and left us feeling good. It felt right the way it ended. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey in this fantasy world. The story kept me engaged and the narrators brought it to life. I could truly feel the characters and felt I was there in this world with and like them. I follow the narrator and the author and look forward to more of their works. This audiobook was highly entertaining, and I will listen to it again and again.
Warped World is the third and final book in the Pack of Outcasts, an urban fantasy/paranormal romance series. This takes place in the author’s Shadowblood world, but can be read on its own. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to the author for my eArc.
Tropes and themes include: ✨Grumpy x sunshine ✨She gains a pet sidekick ✨Self-discovery ✨They pamper her ✨Why choose (mfmmm) ✨Touch her and die ✨Multi, first person POV
The Lovely: This book moves from focusing on the FMC’s self-discovery to seeing her developing self-confidence and solving paranormal problems. I loved this as the next phase of her story.
The Mundane: I still wish we’d had some more time spent with the FMC and the MMCs. With the exception of a few scenes, it felt more like she had individual relationships with each of the MMCs, rather than them being an all-together kind of group.
Recommendation: This was a cute, and sometimes funny, series that is now complete. If you’re in the mood for a lighter urban fantasy romance with grumpy x sunshine to the max, I think you might like this trilogy.
This was a great read and is the third and final book of the Pack of Outcast series. Periwinkle and her men are involved with a seemingly impossible task to try to control the shadows spewing into the human world while simultaneously having to deal with the bigotry and xenophobia being unleashed by military and militia groups alike. The story is well woven and it succeeds in sucking you in. It’s amazing to see how Peri with the support of her men and allies strives to find a solution for the problem at hand and also the deep rooted issues between both races. The growth of the main characters is so well written that it is heartwarming to see how much their relationship grows despite their rocky beginning. All in all it’s a story about the power of acceptance of differences, overcoming obstacles and biases, friendship and, ultimately, love in all its forms. It was a very fitting ending for this story and set of characters.

This was a fun ending to the series! I have been enjoying these characters and their journey throughout this trilogy. I had a great time reading Warped World
What I love most about this trilogy is that I got to reconnect with some of my favorite characters from previous series! I really enjoyed how they were integrated into this story. It almost felt like one big family. I also absolutely adore Peri and her men! A sweet balance between suspense, spice and funny banter

I always look forward to reading a book written by Eva Chase. It feels a bit like coming home. I find comfort in her writing style, her stories and all the different worlds
I'm sad this series is over, but it was definitely the right time to end it. I think this series could've been stronger as a duology, but still works as a trilogy.
We pick up exactly where we left off in the last book, so do a reread if you don't remember what happened. This book mostly focused on some pretty intense xenophobia, with some spicy scenes sprinkled in to break up the heaviness. Peri and her men have to figure out how to fix the rift and deal with adversaries at the same time. All the other supporting characters are mentioned or make appearances, but don't do too much with exceptions right at the end.
The final conflict was much more dramatic than I expected, I just wish there was a little more build up because it came out of left field for me. The ending was satisfying and we get a very neat HEA epilogue, no real messiness at all.
Thank you to BookSirens and Eva Chase for the free eARC.
Eva Chase wraps up The Pack of Outcasts series beautifully in Warped World. The story flows seamlessly, tying up every plot thread while maintaining the excitement and intrigue that drew me in from the start. It’s clear that a lot of care went into crafting an ending that feels both complete and satisfying.
I especially loved how the heroine stayed positive and upbeat throughout the journey. Her optimism was refreshing and added a layer of hope to even the darkest moments. It’s rare to find a character who can balance strength and cheerfulness so well, and she truly shines here.
The relationships in this book continued to blossom in ways that felt genuine and heartfelt. These connections brought warmth and depth to the story, making the conclusion even more impactful. Warped World is a finale that delivers on every level—action, emotion, and character growth.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
This finale had EVERYTHING i wanted: high tension, big emotions, and a chaotic crew of men who would literally tear open worlds to protect Peri. Watching her step into her power while still holding onto her sunshiney heart was absolute perfection. The plot moves fast but the emotional beats hit even harder. The way Mirage, Raze, Jonah, and Hail support Peri, whether she’s saving the world or melting down, is so soft, so swoony, and yes... delightfully spicy. I loved the themes of acceptance, compassion, and refusing to give up even when the world wants you to choose fear over understanding. And the character growth was chef’s kiss. I’m genuinely going to miss this misfit family. If you want a series with monster boyfriends, found family feels, and a heroine who brightens every dark corner, go read Pack of Outcasts ASAP.
This entire series has been such a fun and spicy read. Warped World focused on the battle between the rift, shadowkind, monsters and humans with a heavy emphasis on belonging. Peri is still miss positive and cannot stand to see anyone in pain, but that positivity is exactly what is needed to mend old wounds. Peri and the boys relationship continues to grow. They all want to see Peri happy and tend to grow needs and they finally learn to start trusting each other.
Peri wants to show the world that there is a place for everyone and that everyone deserves to be excepted. She takes risks to try to fix those preconceived notions.
I am said to see Peri and the gang go, but can't wait to see what Eva writes next. Thank you Eva for sending me a copy.

Peri and her men must rally as the darkness descends. All continue to process the traumas of their pasts while fighting for a future together.

The author infuses humor, heart, and heat into this angsty why choose urban fantasy romance. I loved seeing Peri and the MMCs come together as they battle against continued opposition and danger.
Warped World is a thrilling conclusion to their story. I cannot wait to explore the existing stories set in the shadowkind universe!
So grateful to the author for the review copy opportunity. This is my honest and voluntary review.
3.5⭐️ rounded up. This book wrapped up the series nicely but it wasn’t my favourite of the three. Our MCs are trying to help fix the portal that is consuming a city. In the process they reveal shadow kind to humans. The military shows up and is openly hostile along side hunters. The group uses the press to try to encourage a good opinion of shadow kind but it is a challenge. All the characters have a bit more character development in this book, working through some trauma. I can’t decide if the whole “happiness and being welcoming and loving can chase away the light” thing is cute or corny.
I did think that this was a good representation of how humans handle unknown entities or things that scare us. There’s an argument for immigration here and how mistreated they are. I appreciated that.
I liked the snake puppy and how the book ended with everyone settled into a job they liked.
Ahh, this was such a satisfying ending to the trilogy! It had everything I look for in a why choose romance — especially the spice 👀🔥 It was perfectly balanced, well-timed, and exactly the kind of heat I expect from this trope. Add in the cute moments, quirky energy, and plenty of action, and it truly delivered.
I absolutely adore the FMC. She’s one of those heroines who’s almost too bubbly and quirky — the kind who might annoy some people but completely wins you over anyway. I loved her to the core. And every single man by her side? Obsessed.
I also really appreciated the underlying message about healing as a society — choosing acceptance over division, connection over judgment. That theme added so much heart to the story.
I’ve loved this whole universe, and I’m hoping there’s at least one more series set in it, especially with all of the changes it’s seen. Of the series set within this universe, The Pack of Outcasts is pretty light, comparatively. If you like the grumpy/sunshine trope, you’ll love the relationships.
This story is packed with action, and it seems like the hits just don’t stop coming for a while. I am a little sad that we didn’t get more of the relationship development between Peri and her men, but the times we did get were pretty appropriate as far as the plot goes, which is surprisingly rare.
Peri is such a fun and strong character. Mirage is still my favorite of the guys, but I love them all. All of them grew a considerable amount during the series, and it’s wonderful to see! This was a great book to wrap the series up with.
4/5 stars and 2/5 spice
I received an advance copy, and this is my honest review.
This is the third and final book in The Pack of Outcasts series. In it Perrywinkle and her guys tame the animosity coming from the rift. The battle is fought not only by Shadow Kind but also by humans. I don’t want to tell you how the battle is fought or, indeed, how it is won, because that would spoil your enjoyment of the story.
Eva Chase neatly tied up all the loose ends and left the world a better place for her characters.
The narration of this book, indeed, the whole series, was wonderfully performed by Vanessa Moyen and Aidan Snow, who brought every single character to life beautifully.
This exciting series also brought back all our favourite characters from our previous encounters with Shadow Kind and Shadow Bloods, where each person/being played that part.
The premise is neat and original, the ending is nice and wrapped up, but the meat of the story in general from this book and the last was lacking. The simplicity of this series could be endearing to some readers, but I have come to like a lot more complexity. Whether its within the plot, the characters, the tropes, or just the banter itself I wish there was just MORE to certain parts of it. Peri is a bubble of sunshine which you either adore or get annoyed by. I liked it though! Mirage was the character I found to be a bit annoying but fortunately he is a lot better this book. Raze started out as a fav but became so much of a background character that he gets missed a lot. Like I said. MORE. More depth, more going on, would have made this a lot better.
WHAT TO EXPECT: ✔️ Why Choose ✔️ Shadow Kind ✔️ Grumpy / Sunshine ✔️ Touch Her & 💀 ✔️ Bond Marks
Warped World was a satisfying conclusion to the Pack of Outcasts series, filled with action, spice and tensions between the humans and Shadowkind. Peri and her men have really settled into their relationships despite all the danger and drama surrounding them, with the rift issue escalating, leading to desperate measures for Peri and her men. I have enjoyed this shadowkind world and the connection to other characters from previous series in this shared world. I am giving Warped World a rating of 4 / 5 stars.
Spicy paranormal fun Peri looks at life through rose colored glasses. She thinks that everyone should all get along and be happy. And sometimes life works that way, not often, but she won’t give up and has an uphill battle on her shoulders. A fun and entertaining fantasy with some awesome creatures from the shadow world, Peri and her men must face un-relenting obstacles. An action packed adventure, and yet they still find time for a little spice in their life. I really enjoyed seeing some characters from past books playing a part in this series. Sweet conclusion to this series. I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed.
What an ending to Peri’s story in the third and final book in the Pack of Misfits series, Warped World!
After the ending of Bizarre Bonds and the rip to the shadowkind world bigger than it has ever been, Peri, Mirage, Jonah, Hail and Haze must work together to figure out how to close it and Peri just might be the key to it all.
Though they have a battle ahead of them with the humans now seeing them as monsters, though they are only trying to help. Jonah struggles with his humanity in the situation and his past comes to haunt him.
But through it all the men are there to support Peri’s decisions and help her figure out the problem at hand. I loved seeing Peri embrace her power as she had struggled throughout the series to see where she fit in.
Mirage, Jonah, Hail and Haze will do anything to protect Peri and even help take her mind off things briefly in the chaos 😏 but the way they love and support her is just so swoonworthy.
I am going to miss these characters and if you are looking for a cute monster romance then look no further than the Pack of Misfits series!
This book didn't go the way I expected, and I love it! I sped through this one to the point it felt shorter than the others, though that likely wasn't actually the case. It was just such an easy and enjoyable read, every bit of it feeling so natural and so simple to be completely immersed in.
I especially love how we came full circle in a way, with emotions playing a vital and inspiring role. I'm not used to this genre trying to teach a lesson in any way, but this one was very well done and almost made the book feel MORE fulfilling, in a way.
Anyway, it's kind of hard to explain, you'll just need to read the final installment in this series for yourself! It does not disappoint!
A satisfying conclusion to the trilogy! I always enjoy Eva's books, and her shadowkind world is one of my favorites. This series was funny with action, spice, and a bit of angst.
As always, the character development was so good, and I'm sad to say goodbye to these characters, but they got a great send-off! We did get to see quite a few of our favorite characters from the other three series in this world (although each series can be read alone). Hopefully we'll get to see Peri and her men again in any future series!
