Down the Hole

The bombs are dropping. The cars and equipment of the modern world are stopping. Families that have separated across this large country will struggle to keep body and soul together. These families will need to join with others to survive the coming weeks and months. Will they find people to trust and be able to ward off attacks of those that wish to control them and become the Kings of this new world? Just getting to different destinations where they will be able to survive is questionable, at least for some of the far flung family. The world had gone down a deep hole, now will the people be able to hide and live long enough to find one another?

Nuclear bombs and an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) have dropped onto the US. Major cities destroyed and radiation abound. This story focuses on one family separated across the US and their struggle to survive these perilous times. They must also find other like-minded survivors to increase their guard and work force and not be taken out by thugs.

I love this family. Five stories following the different members of one far-flung family. There are all "types" in it like any real family. Some of the children are living with the future in mind. A future that may tale a turn for the worse. Others disregarded what they were taught and life's lessons are quite difficult. In time of peril it is difficult to know who you can trust and remain vigilant to the oncoming attacks of beast and men.
