Decoding the Heart: The Cyber Huntress Chronicles, Book 1

Rate this book
Winter Washington moved to Los Angeles to leave her past behind. Grad school offered the promise of normalcy—books, lectures, a clean slate, and no more looking over her shoulder. But when her roommate, Jessica Glory, is found dead outside their building, Winter’s plans unravel. The LAPD has no leads, and the case is growing colder by the day. Unable to ignore the pull to search for answers, Winter revives her old persona as the ‘Cyber Huntress’ and uncovers the truth. She soon discovers that Jessica wasn’t simply the daughter of a multi-platinum selling artist; she held secrets Winter could have never imagined.

Then there’s Xavier. What started as a no-strings arrangement blossoms into something Winter didn’t expect. Xavier was supposed to be a distraction—a way to feel human again. But the lines are blurring, and Winter isn’t sure she’s ready to let someone in again.

This gritty, fast-paced novel is perfect for readers who love morally gray heroines, mysteries, and romance.

Loved it! I randomly came across this one through KU and it was what I needed on a beach day and after. Lots of plot elements / tropes with this one (romance, thriller, mystery, gen fiction) that you were wrapped up every chapter without knowing what was coming next. Definitely character driven. Excited to see what comes next from the author - fingers crossed for a sequel!

Good story. I like the fact that two vigilante charecters end up helping each other. Totally great read.
