When Paddington arrives in London, he's excited to explore the city that he's heard so much about. Thanks to a stroke of luck, he meets Mr. and Mrs. Brown at the train station. They welcome him into their home and agree to help him find the explorer who visited his family in Peru. As Paddington sets out to search for the explorer and discover the many wonders in the city, he catches the eye of an evil taxidermist who would love nothing more than to come between the bear and the Browns. It will take every member of the Brown household to help Paddington learn that finding a home and a family is the greatest adventure of all.

This is a movie adaptation of the classic children's story Paddington by Michael Bond. Paddington is from the Darkest Peru. His aunt put him on a boat to give him a better opportunity but she couldn't come because of her age. He stows away and finds himself in London station. The Brown family finds him and decides to take him in. The adventure starts from there. He's a curious bear of sorts and that curiosity gets him into trouble. Mr. Brown is especially annoyed and almost kicks him out. Paddington's greatest desire is to find the explorer who promised his family that if he ever came to London he would have a home. The story throws a lot of "Home Alone" type silliness to make the movie more fun. Unfortunately Paddington captures the attention of a taxidermist who wants him for her collection. The Brown family decidedly helps Paddington find the explorer and successful foils the bad guy. It's a cute story. I'm always sad when the movie adaptation sometimes takes the charm out of the story.
