Romance is in the air with this amazing new series by best-selling author Libby Kay. Pinegrove has it all, sexy firemen, town busybodies, and tons of charm! When these sparks fly a happily ever after is in the cards.

Two broken hearts, one charming small town, and a few sparks may be the recipe for love…

Whitney Kerr is at a crossroads—literally. After jumping behind the wheel to flee Savannah, and a bad breakup, this Southern Belle is in search of a fresh start. Stopping in a charming smalltown seems like the perfect place to catch her breath and find herself. It’s too bad a certain fireman with a crooked grin and kind eyes could have her plans of self-discovery going up in a puff of smoke.

Trevor Mays is at a crossroads—figuratively. Still grieving the loss of his father, he was unceremoniously dumped by his fiancée, who quickly rebounded with his work rival. Just as he thinks things can’t get worse, he loses the captain’s promotion—to the man who stole his ex. He’s about to give up on ever smiling again when a curly-haired beauty with curves for days stumbles into his hometown.

With some help from the residents of Pinegrove, this pair will discover that much like the perfect fireworks show, love only needs a spark.

Fans of Sherryl Woods’ Sweet Magnolias series and Sarah Adams’s When in Rome series will fall in love with Libby Kay’s sweet fireman romance. Ms. Kay’s engaging, cozy stories fill your heart and head with possibilities and will quickly become your new favorite!

Whitney Kerr and Trevor Mays are both at a crossroads in life, one with their career the other with their relationship. When Whitney decides to head Pinegrove to clear her thoughts not expecting warm welcome from the town or to meet Trevor who she can relate with because of the troubles in her personal life. Together they find a connection neither planned for but Whitney is just visiting, could she be persuaded to stay?

I really enjoyed this. Trevor's career issues I thought were so well written, I felt for him. He was trying to tow the line even though it is a tough pill to swallow. Whitney is a breath of fresh air, there is one moment you are ready to shout "You Go Girl!", she was a hoot. Wonderful story.

When Sparks Fly is the first heart-warming book in the wonderful new series Pinegrove FD. This charming contemporary romance tale set in the small town of Pinegrove. Where you just can’t help but fall in love with its meddlesome, sweet and quirky characters.
The fun begins when the endearing town characters decide to unite to help this couple along the way.
A fun second chance romance with all the feels that will make your heart desire happiness for the characters. The tale has angst, sexual tension, spice, wit, and banter that had me laughing at times and sighing at others.

When Sparks Fly is Book 1 in the Pinegrove FD series and I was eagerly anticipating to read this story as it is a a new series from Libby Kay as I loved her Buckeye Falls series. The story is a sweet, small town contemporary romance that you cannot help but root for Whitney and Trevor. With love, spark, drama, past hurts and family, I really loved this book and already looking forward to more in this series.

Whitney is looking for a fresh start after her boyfriend breaks up with her and with no sense of direction to go....heads to live with her sister, Winnie, in Savannah. Trying to pick up the pieces, she decides to take a chance and finds herself in the quaint town of Pinegrove...where she meets not only wonderful people, but Trevor Mays, whom is a local firefighter. Trevor is still hurt when his fiancee dumps him for someone better. When Trevor meets Whitney on a chance encounter, something sparks inside of him......wanting to get to know Whitney better...both Whitney and Trevor treasure each encounter...and find how it feels to be truly loved and cherished.

I definitely recommend this book, it was wonderful!

A satisfying story of hope and healing ushers in this new Southern romantic series.

When Sparks Fly is the first book in author Libby Kay’s new southern romance series set in Pinegrove, Georgia, and features two broken but good-hearted people who both need hope, healing, and a new love. Recently disappointed in love, Fire Lieutenant Trevor Mays receives the news that his rival in love has also gotten the promotion to Captain that Trevor deserved. His dream job as a firefighter, following in the footsteps of his father to eventually become chief, suddenly becomes grim as the new captain deliberately tries to make his life as miserable as possible.

Meanwhile, in nearby Savannah, Whitney Kerr discovers the long-time boyfriend, who just dumped her less than a month before, proposing to another woman, captured on live television during a baseball game. At a loss for what to do with her life, she embarks on an impromptu road trip, ending up in Pinegrove, the site of many happy childhood memories. Tired and needing a hotel room, Whitney is dismayed to learn every hotel in the small town is completely booked due to its renowned 4th of July celebrations that are just kicking off. However, she is drawn under the wing of the kind, widowed Daisy Mays, who happens to have a handsome and eligible firefighter son who needs a breath of fresh air, just like Whitney, to breeze into his life.

Whitney and Trevor have much in common when it comes to their recent and unfortunate love lives. It was lovely seeing these two hurt souls find their way to each other with the help of Daisy and others. Both are kind and generous people who you can’t help but root for to find their happily ever after with each other while growing individually into better people at the same time.

The plot is well-paced, and the story is easy to enjoy. It is also a little lighthearted as both recognize that their stories are the perfect fodder for a romance novel. The tale unfolds from both Whitney’s and Trevor’s points of view, so readers get to see both sides of their story. This couple seems made for each other, and their cautious but strong attraction to each other is almost palpable. This was an interesting and satisfying story to sink into and just enjoy.

I recommend WHEN SPARKS FLY to romance readers who enjoy second-chance romances or small-town Georgia settings.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving an Advance Review Copy from the author through Silver Dagger Book Tours.

What a sweet, heartwarming story about finding your “happily ever after.”

As the book opens, we find our heroine at a very low point. She has no job, no home, and no boyfriend. She is staying with her sister until she can find her footing again. To add insult to injury, she sees her ex proposing to his new girlfriend on television. She decides that she needs some time away to get her life back on track and soon finds herself in the small town of Pinegrove, GA.

Like Whitney, Trevor is at a low point in his professional and personal life. He lost his promotion to the man who stole his ex. Firefighting is his life, and he isn’t sure what to do now. When the two of them meet, sparks fly, but will they be able to put their trust issues aside and possibly embark on a life full of wonderful possibilities?

I love books in which the characters go on a road of self-discovery. These two characters definitely did that. Yes, the book was about the romance between Whitney and Trevor. Still, they also did a tremendous amount of discovering who they were as separate individuals, which made them even greater as a couple. They were both very different people by the end of the book. The romance had spice without graphic scenes, and I could feel the sparks flying between them. It was also very heartwarming and sweet!

The title was perfect, and the book was well-written. The secondary characters, such as Javi and Trevor’s mother, Daisy, add depth to the book. I felt like I was part of the Pinegrove and hated saying goodbye. I’m anxiously awaiting the time when I can return to visit again.

When Sparks Fly by Libby Kay is a heartwarming and emotionally rich small-town romance that celebrates healing, second chances, and the unexpected ways love finds us when we least expect it.

From the very first page, readers are immersed in Pinegrove a picturesque town filled with warmth, wit, and wonderful people who remind us of the importance of community and belonging. Whitney Kerr, a Southern Belle running from heartbreak, and Trevor Mays, a firefighter struggling to rebuild his sense of purpose, are two perfectly imperfect protagonists whose chemistry feels real, not rehearsed. Their emotional connection is slow-burning yet deeply satisfying, making every page feel both cozy and electric.

What truly elevates this novel is Libby Kay’s gift for character-driven storytelling. She paints emotion with a tenderness that lingers the ache of loss, the vulnerability of trust, and the joy of rediscovering self-worth. Every supporting character, from the town busybodies to Trevor’s firehouse brothers, adds personality and depth to the narrative.

This story reads like a warm blanket on a cold day charming, heartfelt, and beautifully written. Fans of Sherryl Woods, Sarah Adams, and Debbie Mason will be instantly drawn to Kay’s writing style, which blends humor, emotional realism, and genuine romance.

The start of the Pinegrove FD series promises much more than a love story it’s an invitation into a world readers will want to visit again and again.

A tender, emotionally resonant, and irresistibly charming small-town romance. Libby Kay delivers warmth, depth, and heart in every chapter. Highly recommended.

A 4.5 Star Swoon-worthy, Clean, Southern Romance

Libby Kay, author of the Buckeye Falls series, has written a new series with a swoon-worthy cast of characters and the Pinegrove FD series begins with When Sparks Fly. This is the perfect 4th of July, beach, southern summer read. We meet Whitney and Trevor as they are both at a low point and we get to watch the sparks fly. Kay has done an excellent job of writing these characters in a way that makes them seem real and most definitely relatable, like we’ve all been down in the dumps, wondering where life is taking us, not sure how much more we can take before we break. These two have a lot of baggage, but maybe, with the other’s help, they can leave it all behind and live their best lives. Once I started reading this story, I could not put it down, a real page-turner to the end. The romance was clean and sweet, no graphic scenes or spice, but I could feel their sparks flying off the pages as I read through it. The “minor” characters were all amazing and helped lend a little more depth and umph to the storyline. I can’t wait to see what Libby Kay has in store for the small southern town of Pinegrove, but while I wait for the next book, I’ll go read the Buckeye Falls series! Seriously, Kay has an amazing talent that pulls you in and grabs you, and I can’t wait to read more of her work!

I thoroughly enjoy this author! So it was no surprise when I jumped into the book When Sparks Fly. And it did not disappoint.
The author brings together 2 characters that have been broken. That needs to let go, and move on. Easier said than done.
Not only was Whitney dumped but he turned around and proposed in front everyone who was watching. Devastating as it was to watch, she knew she needed to move on. After a talk with her sister she ended up reverting back to her old self. Going on a joy ride to see where she would end up. And she ended up in a place that made her truly happy as a child. A small town that had tons of festivity options heading into the July 4th holiday. 1 problem she had no where to stay. Little did she know Daisy’s kind offer to let her stay in her home was going to change her life.
Trevor has had a rough go recently. His fiance cheating on him, caused him to lose out on a much deserved promotion. So dealing with his new boss, who just happens to be her ex's man is a nightmare. However when Whitney comes blowing into his life hes not sure what to do. He cares but is he ready? She’s a different city girl but really fits the small town living.
Will he take the leap?
Are either of them truly ready to move on?
The author gives a cute story of 2 people who have to grow to mend. With each other or not it’s for you to jump right in and find out.

I love me some Libby Kay and I loved the people of Buckeye Falls and was super excited to meet the folks of Pinegrove❣️📕😉

Whitney has had a really bad break up and was staying with her sister but decides to go look for a fresh start but she had me in giggles when she had to a delivery for her ex 🤣 I wouldn’t do it but he deserved it what with proposing to his new girl on television 😳

Anyhoo Whitney ends up in Pinegrove and they’re preparing for their local 4th July festivities and gain where we are we don’t celebrate it so it was fun fun to be part of it 🥰

Trevor is grieving for his dad and he’s desperate to follow I. His foot steps as gore chief but he keeps getting looked over and a part of me was hurting for him because it did feel like an injustice to a degree and the man appointed isn’t pleasant and he thrives on rubbing it his face , not nice at all but that’s people for you 🥺and his giance leaves much to be desire , quite frankly good riddance because he deserves and dies get so much better 🥰

Whitney makes Trevor smile again and her curves makes his heart skip beats 🥰 and together with our awesome town folks these 2 find their way to each other and their HEA 🥰

Loved every moment in my new town with my new friends and hope to visit and catch up soon ❣️📕😉this is one of those books you love not read 🥰

When Sparks Fly was a sweet, happy read. Both main characters have had their hearts broken by their partners and their careers not being what they hoped.
Whitney has had enough with sleeping on her sisters couch, not being able to find a job and nothing going her way and decides to flee Savannah. She ends up in Pinegrove. That’s where Trevor spots her. The night she ends up there in The Pecan Pit. She stops
For something to eat before deciding to look for a place to stay the night. She’s familiar with the town as it was her hometown but she’s been gone for many years. Unfortunately for her, the Fourth of July festivities are bigger then ever and a room is hard to come by. Everything is booked up.
That’s when she meets Daisy who is probably the sweetest woman ever and also Trevor’s mother.
Turns out Daisy and Whitney have mutual friends and Daisy offers her a place to stay. The woman end up becoming friends and spending alot of time together which also earns Whitney a part time job. Trevor and Whitney seem to be getting close and things seem to be going well. Until Whitney sees something that looks to be something it’s not and feels like her heart is breaking all over again.
Will she ever find out the truth and give Trevor a real chance ?
This was a sweet, clean, happy read.

This is the first book in the Pinegrove FD series. I knew I was going to love this series as I have read books from this author and have never been disappointed. This is a small town romance which is beautifully written with characters that captured your heart. Both of our main character have problems and heartbreaks which have lead them to the position they find themselves in and this only helps to strengthen their bond. It is a story to two people who thought they had lost it all finding out that actually they were all the other person needed.

Whitney Kerr finds herself at a major crossroads. After splitting from her ex and finding out he was engaged to another woman Whitney finds herself on the road looking to escape the pain and maybe find herself in the journey.

Trevor Mays has been struggling for a while, with the sudden loss of his father, his ex fiancée leaving him and getting with his rival at work things couldn't be going worse for him. That is until the rival not only takes his ex but also his position in the fire department. Now he is all lost and doesn't know which way to turn until his mum takes in a lodger. A lodger who seems to light a spark inside him that he thought had died out.

Could Trevor and Whitney be exactly what they other person needs to reignite the spark in their lives? Could they finally have met their perfect match in each other?

I read the Buckeye Falls series by this author, and couldn’t wait to discover what Pinegrove had to offer. I was not disappointed!
Dive in and follow the tale of Trevor, a heartbroken fireman in Pinegrove, Georgia, and Whitney, a heartbroken, jobless, homeless girl from Savannah, Georgia. Whitney decides to take her sister’s advice and take a road trip from the train wreck that is her life in Savannah. She stops in Pinegrove, and meets Daisy, Trevor’s mom, who agrees to let Whitney stay as her house guest. Will Trevor and Whitney come to know one another as more than friends?
This romance novel is full of twists and turns. It kept me engaged the entire time – a real page-turner. I couldn’t wait to discover what was next for Whitney and Trevor as they sifted through the drama in their lives. The romance in this novel is sweet, not graphic, but enough to make readers feel the passion between characters. Just like the Buckeye Falls series, we meet supporting characters in the small town of Pinegrove who build a community of friendships around the main characters. Each of them is realistic, and most of them loveable. All of them adding to the complexity of the main characters’ lives. This novel was fantastic, and I hope is the start of more to come from Pinegrove!

When Sparks Fly (A Pinegrove FD Novel Book 1)

I was so disappointed when I realized the Buckeye Falls series was over. There was something about that group of characters that I adored. When I saw there was a new series I knew without a doubt that I would be reading it.

Trevor and Whitney won me over immediately, they are as wonderful as I have come to expect but the addition of them being southern may have given them the edge.

Whitney starts in Savannah, living at her sister's place after a breakup. I personally don't know if I would have left Savannah, I spent a way too short night there a few years ago so it was nice to see be able to connect with the location. Anyway, she ends up in Pinegrove after she went on a road trip on a whim and was led to a new life.

Trevor's only luck of late has been bad luck. He too is post breakup and life is just kicking him while he's down. But he starts to see a light after meeting Whitney.

As I was reading I got a giggle when I realized Trevor's mama and Whitney's sister share names with my two dogs Daisy Mae and Winnie.

I'm already looking forward to the next book in this series and catching up with this charming southern small town.

I was so excited to see that this author had a new series out and she even mentioned Buckeye Falls at one point. This new book followed Whitney and Trevor. Whitney has been through a terrible breakup, doesn’t have a steady job, and is crashing on her sister’s couch. She decides to get out of town to clear her head and ends up in a small town near where she grew up. The problem is she didn’t realize it has become huge with the tourists around the 4th of July. She stops for food and meets Trevor after his friend starts hitting on her. When his mom and her book club come into the bar, they hit it off and Whitney suddenly has a place to stay. Trevor can’t stop thinking about her. He has an ex who started dating his coworker who just received the promotion at the firehouse that should be his. He is still grieving the loss of his father and boss, taking care of his mom, and healing his heart. His mom tries to push them together as she gets to know Whitney because they have more in common then they realize. Trevor is dealing with his mom starting to date and Whitney finds a job she actually likes. This was a clean romance that kept me turning pages! I loved the small town, the characters, and the story. Can’t wait for the next one!

Whitney Kerr is trying to get over a bad breakup, especially after seeing her ex of 2 months propose to another woman live on TV during a baseball game. When she gets in her car in Savannah and sets out toward her hometown, she doesn't have much of a plan in place. When her car starts to have issues, and she realizes she needs to stop for the night, she stops in a town she and her family had visited once when she was a child. When Whitney walks into the local bar for food and to try and find a place to stay, Trevor's friend hits on her to no avail. Then Trevor and Whitney meet after Trevor's mom, Daisy, invites Whitney to stay with her since all the hotel rooms in town are taken. Trevor has had his own issues with love, as his ex-fiancee left him for his coworker who is now her fiancee and Trevor's boss at the fire station. Sparks fly between Whitney and Trevor once the pair start to spend time together, and Whitney finds that she may want to stay longer than the overnight she was planning. This is the first book in the Pinegrove FD series, and I personally can't wait to see what else Libby Kay has in store for these characters and their friends.

I am very excited to see about Libby Kay’s new series and wanted to get started right away! And once again, Kay brings in elements of small town feel, great character development, captivating plot, detailed imagery and a good ole fashion love story! Cannot get better than that! This one starts off with two brokenhearted individuals, Whitney and Trevor, who find each other when they least expect it. With the 4th of July around the corner, this small town of Pinegrove is bustling with holiday festivities and tourists flocking in for a local holiday tradition atmosphere. Whitney is yearning for the young child feeling revisiting happy moments in this local town. Trevor, on the other hand, wants to get away from dealing with choices that have been made in his everyday life. Unknowingly when they first meet, curiosity brings interest to one another but with their emotions in upheaval, their mindsets wander elsewhere. Sometimes those who understand you best sometimes will know what’s good for you even when you don’t recognize it yourself. Quite the page turner from the beginning, sucking you into the story line and keeping your attention till the very end.

An enjoyable and engaging story which kept me happily turning the pages. Whitney has runaway from Savannah following a bad breakup and ended up in the small town of Pinegrove. Intending on staying just long enough to catch her breath, she then meets a local fireman whose kind eyes and crooked grin could disrupt her plans. Trevor is having a really rough time having been dumped by his fiancée he then loses the captain’s promotion to the man who stole his ex, all whilst grieving the loss of his father. Believing he will never smile again he then meets Whitney, but she makes it clear she’s not staying. However, neither of them can ignore their chemistry and maybe Whitney can get her fresh start in Pinegrove. This heartwarming romance kept me hooked throughout. The small town feel of Pinegrove along with its mix of quirky residents came to life through the descriptive narrative. Both Whitney and Trevor are likeable and relatable characters whose chemistry sizzled off the page. I was cheering them on hoping they would get their HEA.
No Spoilers ….. I recommend reading this book today!

When Sparks Fly follows newly single and recently unemployed Whitney, who decides to take a break from sleeping on her sister’s sofa and sets off on an adventure. She lands in Pinegrove, where she’s taken in by the lovely Daisy, and her equally lovely son, Trevor. Trevor is a fireman with his own relationship and career issues, and with the help of Daisy and the rest of Pinegrove, Trevor and Whitney figure out these issues together. The story was sure, and I loved the Buckeye Falls and When Harry Met Sally references, but I felt like Whitney’s reactions and treatment of Trevor and her sister weren’t always justified, and I wasn’t a fan of the modern references such as girl dinner and memes. My favourite character was Trevor and my least favourite character was Baxter. I recommend this book because it’s a cosy, small-town romance story with all the classics like grand romantic gestures and found family. I genuinely enjoy Libby Kay’s writing, and she nailed the accent and aesthetic in this one. ‘She was done being afraid. It was time to live.’

Super cute and cozy small-town romance with a lot of heart. I fell in love with Whitney and Trevor's story (and, okay, I fell a little bit in love with Trevor too). Libby Kay's newest book is filled with charming characters (Daisy and Javi were so freaking fun) and swoon-worthy moments between the MCs (loved the early flirting between Trevor and Whitney and especially enjoyed the sincerity of their feelings for one another). I had a lot of fun reading this. It really was like a warm hug. I think that I enjoyed most, though, was Whitney's character arc. In the beginning of the novel, she was so bitter and heartbroken and lost, but she not only found love in Pinegrove, but she found herself, too. She felt so real to me, and I was really proud of her for pursuing the life she wanted. Definitely recommend this book to fans of sweet small-town romance, especially if you're looking for fleshed-out MCs and lovable characters (both main characters and side characters!).

I thought this was such a cute romance. Two people needing another start. Both down in their life at the moment and finding love. But will it last? Whitney is running from her life. She stops in a small town to catch her breath. But she didn't pick the best time as it's during a festival. Trevor has been hit back to back with things. Getting passed over for a promotion by the guy that stole his ex fiancée and his father passing away has him pretty down. But a night at the local bar changes everything. Whitney meets Trevor's mom and her book club and they hit it off. So much so that Whitney ends up staying in her guest room during the festival! Now just to get these two to see each other and take the leap in love, even after both their recent relationship issues. Can they both get past their baggage and move on? Or will Whitney move on to another town and another until see finds herself? This is a cute small town fireman romance. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to read more!!

When Sparks Fly (A Pinegrove FD Novel Book 1) by Libby Kay. I love this author for small town romances and this new series just fits the bill. Its the story of Whitney who has been living in Savannah but has had to come home because of a bad break up. When she arrives in Pinegrove things are just as she thought they would be. You just can't beat small town charm. Whitney realizes this may be the perfect place to start over until she meets hot fireman, Trevor. Trevor is a local fireman who has been thru a lot lately. His father has just passed away and he just found out his girlfriend is leaving him for his boss. It seems like life is just hitting him from all angles and its not good ones. When he meets Whitney, he can't seem to get her out of his mind and she feels the same. As they begin to spend more and more time together they realize that this may all be meant to be. I can't wait to read more about Pinegrove and its residents!

Whitney Kerr, dumped by her boyfriend, who the proposes to another girl on TV, is looking to "move on" but can't. So, removing herself from her sister's couch, and taking a road trip, is what she does. She leaves Savannah, GA, and makes a stop in small town Pinegrove. Her journey may have just come to a halt.

Sexy fireman, Trevor, who is suffering from his own drama, fiancé left him for another man, the same man wo "took" the promotion Trevor though he'd surely get, isn't looking for anything!! Until.....

Drinks with a friend at the local pub turns into much more when the curvy woman walks in to have a bite to eat and finding a place for the night, and that place happens to be Trevor's mom, Daisy. The festival that is in town has every hotel booked.

With the "help" of all the small-town folks, will they both get their Happily Ever After or will Whitney move on, like she had planned?

This was my first read by this author and I really enjoyed it.

A new series begins. This adorably, sweet romance has an amazing cast of characters that we are getting to know. First up are Whitney and Trevor. Both have recently been humiliated by their previous partners, who have moved on to other people. Both are feeling stuck/lost in their careers. Until by chance they meet, and then things start looking up for each other.

Next up, we have Daisy and Paul. Daisy’s husband, Paul’s best friend, died about 2 years ago. They all went to high school together. Daisy and Paul have been friends throughout. Now, all of a sudden, sparks are flying and love is in the air.

We have the delightful support characters that we hope will be seeing again (maybe even in their own books) Javi, Winnie, Malcolm, Jessie, Ms. Kim, and Buster. They bring the funny and the real to the story. Plus, there ain’t no one in this small town that doesn’t already know what is going on. Loved the shout out to the Buckeye Falls gang!

When Sparks Fly by Libby Kay is a small-town romance that introduces a new series centered in the little community of Pinegrove. Whitney Kerr is looking for a fresh start and a place to heal her broken heart. Meeting Trevor Mays, a firefighter who has a dark past. Both of these characters are slightly bent and broken down by life and their journeys toward each other, and throughout this story, we see how starting over can be a great way to find yourself. Libby Kay is a new author to me, but her witty style and down-to-earth characters have made her a great addition to my reading collection. If you are looking for a new series that centers around the Pinegrove Fire Department and the women who fall in love with them, while using heartfelt storytelling, engaging storylines, and emotionally charged dialogue, then this is definitely the story for you to pick up. I can’t wait to see how the rest of this series works out.

When Sparks Fly, is the first in the Pinegrove FD series by Libby Kay. Our main characters are Whitney and Trevor who both in some ways are at a crossroads in their life. Whitney leaves behind Savannah and finds herself in Pinegrove, a small town she knows can help her catch her breath and maybe find herself. Trevor is grieving his father’s death and getting over the finance who broke up with him and moved onto someone new, his business rival. Both want to give up, until they meet and spark fly between them. Both these characters have trust issues, yet together the fireworks fly! Can these two put the past behind them and find love?

I truly loved this book. We get an introduction to Pinegrove. We get two amazing characters on the road to discover themselves. We get to learn about other characters I hope we see more of. We get the small town. We get it all in this book, and I can not wait till we get more of Pinegrove!!!

When Sparks Fly (A Pinegrove FD Novel Book 1) by Libby Kay is a great romance series

Whitney Kerr finds herself physically at a crossroads. This Southern Belle is looking for a new start after a terrible breakup and hopping behind the wheel to escape Savannah. She thinks that stopping at a quaint little village would be the ideal way to refuel and reconnect with herself. Unfortunately, her goals for self-discovery could be dashed by a certain firefighter with a crooked smile and gentle eyes.

Trevor Mays is in a difficult situation. He was still mourning the death of his father when his fiancée abruptly left him and swiftly moved on with his coworker. He loses the captain's promotion—to the man who took his ex—just when he believes that things can't get much worse.

Every page was exciting, and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. The story really brings excitement into your life. I couldn’t put the book down. I can't wait to read from this author.

This book is the first book in this series. Like other series from this author, each one can be read as a stand alone book. This book is about Whitney Kerr whose life feels out of control. She has no job, no career, no place to call her own, and no boyfriend. After the jerk cheated on her, she gave herself time to throw a pity party, but now it’s time to shake the dust off. She decides to take a road trip to a small town she used to love as a girl. Unfortunately there are no hotels available, and she ends up staying at a stranger’s house. Luckily for her, the woman’s son is the handsome Trevor Mays. Trevor has also recently gotten out of a relationship with a woman who cheated on him. Predictably they date and fall in love, and there are problems due to their pasts. Even seeing where the story was headed, I still thoroughly enjoyed the story. It was sweet and a nice little escape from life. Worth the time to read!

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book that I picked up by them. One of the reasons I never hesitate to pick up this author’s books is her creative writing style and characters that are written with a lot of heart and soul. This book is no different. This is a story about Trevor and Whitney and they are currently both facing crossroads. What they are about to find out is what one spark can create. I enjoyed both of these characters and what they brought to the story. They have great chemistry and made their story easy to read. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout. Their story is fast paced and hard to put down. This is an engaging story that I really enjoyed reading. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. I highly recommend this book.
