I absolutely love this author's books. They are mostly based on young people with problems who usually end up okay in the end..
I was given this book by the author for my honest review.
It was an amazing story, the 3rd in a series. In this one we find out what happened to a young boy named Bobby, a 13 year old who has been in several foster homes. He is taken to live with Katya, you has major problems as you will figure out when reading, but he is happy and loves his new little foster sister very much. He is very protective of Katya throughout even when she is in a "bad" mood. He has been in so many poor foster homes that living with a person like Katya is a dream come true for him is so many ways. He can have anything he wants and lives in a huge house with a room of his very own. That is something he has never had.
He has a friend that was in the previous book, Gracie, whose mother knows Katya from years back. Sandy who is Gracie's adopted mother had a hard life until she met Peter who got her out of the business.(read the 2nd book to find out what business.. lol) and Katya is afraid of what Peter will find out so doesn't want him to be around Gracie or Sandy.
He finds out things about his family that he had blocked out of his mind until he see's his older brother on TV. Then his life takes a big turn. He finally realizes that Katya needs help and he makes the hardest decision he will ever have to make in his young life.
I am so hoping that there will be another book in this series. I want to know if Bobby and his little sister Zane are okay and if Katya ends up okay and if they can eventually end up being a real family and be happy together. Also if Katya forgives Bobby for just wanting to help her. It is a book that will make you think, laugh at times and cry a lot. It was a very good story, emotional and sensitive but also happy a lot of times too. When Bobby was called a hero a couple of times he didn't know how to react, but he deserved it so much. A wonderful book that anyone would enjoy.. I loved it from the first book to the last page of the 3rd book. The expected publication date is Dec 15th of this year.
