Stolen Demon Brides #3

Taken to the Demon Court

Rate this book
Who would have thought that being able to tell when someone lies would get me kidnapped and sold at a demon auction?

Before the kidnapping, I had nothing.

No family. No love life. No purpose.

Then the twin demon royals swept me off my feet right before I became lunch meat.

Their condition? Spy on the king and report back his lies.

Easy enough.

But I never expected to feel the things I did for them so suddenly. Or that it would threaten to keep me in the demon realm for an eternity .

I had a lot of high expectations for this one and honestly it could’ve been smuttier.

It was okay, I had fun but this one compared to the other two installments seems to be lacking. I enjoyed Eros and Oros character but Eve just feels flat. Also wished we explored more into the mom issue and Eve being the truth teller but it was very short lived and plain. And maybe I’m expecting too much from a smutty novella, but I definitely think the first two were my favs out of this trilogy!

I loved this book! The perfect ending to the series! I loved this trilogy, how each book starts from the same point in time and follows each girl? And it’s from their perspective too? I loved that a lot, especially because the first book was the perspective of the girl who arrived at the auction house last, so it was so interesting to see the perspectives of the girls who arrived after her.
I also loved reading about the royals and what they get up to? Once I got past the slightly weird twin sharing a partner thing it was really enjoyable, and they aren’t actually horrible characters? They are the typical misunderstood and trying to do their best in a tough situation characters, which is where the most beautiful human lie detector in the whole world comes in. Her character was so powerful and beautiful and unapologetic and I loved it. I also loved what came to her head as soon as being food was off the table, that was so funny and real. The story of the twins does really break my heart though, I’m so glad they have each other at least.
The ending was also EVERYTHING? it was perfect, I truly wouldn’t have wanted it to end any other way, I do wish we got to see the original three girls reunite though, the things they have all been through? And how they’ve all found their forever people?
This series truly was really enjoyable, I’d say it’s definitely my top Elle Mae series.

I was really hoped that at the end all of the humans will meet up along with their demons, I want to see their friendship. But overall, I like it.

4 stars. Book two is still my favorite but this one was good. Not as spicy as I was expecting it to be but whatever. I liked Eve, Eros and Oros a lot and the dynamics and chemistry between them was pretty good. I feel like the plot was more in the forefront instead of the romance which wasn’t my favorite thing but the plot was at least intriguing. I just wanted a bit more from the romance but it was a solid ending to this series.

NONE SPOILER REVIEW!
I personally love everything about this book. I knew as soon as I started the first book Taken to the Deadlands that these twins would be my roman empire.
Tropes:
Forced closeness
Share everything
Do *everything* together
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
In all: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Eve is the mortal, a human lie detector, the twins buy her at the auction because YES they have LORE unlike Yien from the 2nd book Taken to The Shadow Realm (NO HATE, she was just a little dull). The twins Oros and Eros are on the hunt for the truth, so who or what better help than a lie detector? Their mother was brutally murdered and left outside the palace gates, they know their father knows more than he's letting on. They are set to figuring out the truth of what happened to the queen.

Of course, just like you all expected, they fall in love before they even start digging for answers about the queen's passing. They get a little “cozy” with each other too, a lot actually. So this isn't much of a slow burn when it comes to spice, but it is a slow burn when it comes to them actually becoming an item.

SPOILERS BELOW GOING DEEPER IN DEPTH OF MY OPINIONS!!!!
I physically cannot express how much I loved this book. I loved it so much I read it twice after only going a week without it, like rewatching a movie you love SMSMMSMSMS.

Right off the get go, you don’t see much fear from Eve in comparison to the other two main characters in the mortal role, Eve is a sassy queen. When you think of someone who says “I’m not short in fun size”- she's that vibe all the way but not in a cringey way.
Ms. Ma’am cant take anything seriously and i LIVE for a good sport. Chapter 15 the king himself is waiting in her room, trying to intimidate her. Miss ma’am in response to the king making a mocking threat to chain her up so he could smell her fear for the rest of her lifetime, she goes and says: “Edging yourself? K*nky.”
GRRRL THAT WAS NOT THE WAY BUT OKAY I GUESS! Pop off.

She purposefully starts a rivalry between the two twins too at the beginning of the book before either of the twins knew her name! She is not afraid of embarrassment, embarrassment fears her.
Now let's get to know these beautiful girls, the twins I mean because you already know too much about Eve.

The twins are like the definition of yin and yang, polar opposites of each other but so very different that they both level each other out.

Oros has always been the quieter sister, as Eros is very extroverted Oros prefers to stay introverted. But to her surprise once her and her sister went to the auction and bought the human she was pleasantly surprised when the mortal demanded that Oros ask what their name was. Usually whenever someone in the demon court asks Oros something they leave after not getting a reply back, leaving to ask Eros instead. But the mortal continued to press Oros until Oros finally asked. It was nice that for the first time she got the attention even though that isn't her typical wish.

Eros on the other hand, my personal favorite because I love me, is a hyper cocky character that knows how to express vulnerability, is more extroverted but my sweet hyper baby is a little insecure even though the spotlight mainly resides on her.
Eros was the one who bought Eve, so she kind of expected Eve to show more interest in her. But honestly I'm kind of on Eve’s side, everyone loves themselves a cold, distant, quiet baddie. Later in the book Eros shows signs of jealousy that the human was spending more time with Oros trying to get her sister to engage with her more verbally. Eros was trying to give the human a flower but the human was almost ignoring her. But the jealous feeling switched to pride because she wasn't used to her “shy” sister getting this much praise and was happy for her.

Now when Eve gets Oros alone, she tries to get a little frisky but Oros pushes her away saying “we’re a package deal.”

AHHH AND YES THEY AREEEE.
Neither of them like being alone with Eve because of the bloodlust/frenzy. They like being together with Eve in case one of them gets close to the frenzy so they can pull the other away.
IS THAT NOT THE CUTEST THING???

So YESSSS, this is my personal favorite series and book by beautiful Elle Mae.
I’d give it a 10 but I guess I'll settle for a five because that's the highest I can go.

I have read the other books in the Stolen Brides series, I will be writing reviews, but this one right here left such an impact thst this needed to come first since Elle saved the best for last, OBVIOUSLY. Elle needs to make a 2nd season of The Stolen Brides. Personally, I wouldn’t mind reading a book about Madam, she's hyper and charismatic, so I could see that book being a real hit as well. But I know I'm asking for too much.

Things I Loved:
- Lesbian romance- FFF human/2x demon
- Kidnapped and sold at demon auction to royals twins to tag team
- Great chemistry and banter between MCs
- Human has the special ability to tell one someone is lying
- Decent amount of character depth and development

Spice: 🌶🌶️🌶️
Burn: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Review:
I loved this more than I expected. I didn't have a huge interest in the royal twins I'll be honest but I know I needed to read the book and finish the series and I'm so glad I did!

I ended up loving Eros and Oros. They were so much more complex than I expected. Yes they had stark opposite personalities but I love that it dived deeper than just surface level and you saw how that came into play with their insecurities and how it affected their daily life, relationships and even how it strengthened their bond too. They had such deep care for eachother and I loved seeing them have such good strong values.

Eve was COOOOL! I didn't expect to meet her and have her to be morally grey in her human life so that was I fun and refreshing. Then she met the twins and was so full of sass and truly gave the girls a run for for their money. I love that she made both of them work for it, despite the fact that she was literally purchased by them and theirs to own and do as they please.

I loved watching them grow their connection together and how she actually developed a relationship with each twin at different paces, that was pleasantly surprising, especially to do so in a novella. Thats what I mean by this book did well to go into detail with character depth and honestly it was nice to see all 3 of them grow individually and together.

I also loved the plot of the royal drama with the king, aka Eros and Oros father and the reason they purchased Eve to start with. I fucking loved the ending and how they chose to handle that whole situation which I won't spoil. Just super well done. What an awesome ending to an amazing novella series. Definately recommend!

“I didn’t expect her voice to be so silky smooth. Like melt-on-your-tongue smooth. Knows-what-to-do-between-your-legs smooth.”

This one was 100% the best of the series! With more spice, and more drama. I really enjoyed this one and it was the perfect one to finish off the series.

Eve was badass. She settled into the fact she was kidnapped by demons a lot easier than the other two. I loved how she didn’t show her fear and went out there guns blazing. I love how she worked the twins, getting them both to come to her and work for it. She was fun and flirty.

The twins were fun. With Eros being the extroverted one and Oros being the introverted one, you saw a lot of different sides to them when Eve was around. Both their personalities evolved and revealed themselves the more Eve cracked them open. Hiding behind their pain and loss, Eve gives them a reason to hope and think of more. I love the way they cause mischief and how between them they share Eve.

I devoured this one in less than 24 hours, definitely my favourite of the series. Although I do hope Elle revisits this world as theres so many other fun characters I would like to go back and see.

I just can't stop reading Elle Mae's books.

I saw a few reviews and complaints saying this could have been smuttier, and while I understand I've gotta say this was personally my favourite in the series.

I was skeptical going in because while I enjoy spicy books and odd pairings, I've never read a book that had two sisters as the love interests. And twins at that. But I ended up thoroughly enjoying it. This book built up the world a hell lot more, and while I loved the other two books I got bored of the one setting for each of them. I'm glad they moved around more in this book and did different things.

I loved both Oros and Eros so much, I'd struggle to pick a favourite twin too (not that I would). And Eve was a great MC. I loved the playfulness between the three of them in this book. The other two couples weren't as playful in my opinion, but this throuple (not the right word but idk what to call them lol) made up for that.

I'm a little sad for this small series to come to an end but regardless I loved it. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you Elle Mae 💖🙏

I finally finished reading this series! I probably liked this book the most. Main character is just fucking awesome. The only thing…I was really upset that drama with returning to the human world was in all three books, but okay.
Actually, I liked the ending and the intrigues of the court

Okay I realllllllllly loved this book. It was short though so it was very fast paced. I would have loved to see it done was a regular length novel (with more smutty bits too, tee hee).
