Really sorry.

I'm a little disappointed in this instalment. I enjoyed the first book, but have yet to read the rest of the series. This, being a Kate Perry novel means that regardless of how I feel, I still plan to read the rest of the books in the Summerhill series. It's a little out of order, but I hardly think it matters. This takes fast reading to a whole new level. As in, the reader will feel a little breathless - and not in a good way - because of the speed in which the story moved.

Give a Little is the seventh book in the Summerhill series by Kate Perry. And I knew going to be a bittersweet read!! Bitter because I knew it was the final book in this great series and sweet as I was looking forward to reading Bea Summerhill’s story. Bea is the oldest Summerhill sister who fiercely independent, she knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it. Excepted when it come to Luca Fiorelli, the Italian Stallion racecar driver whom Bea has been doing a slow, tantalizing dance with since the start of the series.

Luca has wanted Bea from the very first time he met her; he has always made this very clear to her. Luca pushes all her buttons and as much as say tells herself she doesn’t want him she knows deep down that she does! But she fights it and pushes him away. However, when Bea needs something she discovers that only Luca can help her get it, she just may have to stop pushing!

“She’d never known anyone like Luca. No man had ever affected her the way he did”

I have always liked Bea’s and the way she loves her family, always keeping a watchful eye over them all. I adore Luca and his Italian ways. Love his determination to show her how good they could be together, even though she is so stubborn at times. They have such great chemistry and passion together.

“I know your heart like its my own”

Loved the second story about Rowdy, I have always liked him and his story about finding love was such entertaining read. It was lovely to see some lovely development between some of the others sisters and their men. Give a Little was a lovely end to the series and it also set the scene for the first book in her new series that I know I’m going to love.

If you love stories that are high on the romance, that are fun and entertaining, but low of the drama and angst. Then a Kate Perry story is just what you need.

Give A Little is the story every Summerhill series fan has been waiting for: Bea and Luca. Bea has been denying her attraction to Luca since meeting him, even though she can't stop ending up in his bed. She knows that Luca will tire of her and move on to the next conquest, so there's no reason to give him her heart. Luca has been chasing Bea just as long, determined to show her they're perfect for each other. Now, he has the perfect opportunity and business deal to get her to admit they're made for each other -- as long as he can get Bea to agree to his terms. Also included is Rowdy & Jasmine's story.

Kate Perry did a beautiful job wrapping up the Summerhill series with Give a Little. It was fun to finally read a story centered around stubborn Bea and charismatic Luca. I also loved that we got to see a snapshot into Rosalind and Nick's upcoming marriage, Vi & Chloe's lives and a romance for Rowdy. Rowdy is one of my favorite characters and his story was just as fun to read as Bea & Luca's. I actually wish we got a whole book on Rowdy!

If you're a fan of contemporary romance, I highly suggest Give a Little and the entire Summerhill series. I can't wait to start reading Kate Perry's next series -- the first book is about Sebastian, the Summerhill's American cousin!

A GIANT thank you to Kate Perry for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of Give a Little! I absolutely loved it.

Finally!! This is Bea and Luca's story and it's a great one! Luca has been waiting for Bea to finally realize there is more to life than work. Nothing seems to be working until a golden opportunity presents itself. There is a meeting she desperately wants and Luca can get her in. Only one condition - one week alone together - no work! Can she do it??

This is a great wrap up to the Summerhill series and the author did an awesome job with it. She even made sure that Rowdy (personally, my favorite character) found his HEA. Now as Sebastion returns to the US, hopefully he will find his love interest in the upcoming spin off series.

This is a great book and series and I highly recommend both.

Definitely not my favourite book by Kate Perry. Don’t get me wrong I love her books I just did not enjoy the characters in this story they really bugged me.

Beatrice and Luca - First off Luca really annoyed me he seemed so girly and so self conceited and I definitely did not like that. Beatrice was cold and such a workaholic. It was really, really hard to warm up to both of these particular characters.

Rowdy and Jasmine - Rowdy has been in a few books and I am glad he found his happily ever after, I guess you could call it that. Jasmine was plain rude to begin with, I get she was trying to get back at her father but come on she shouldn’t have taken it out or even used rowdy. Not cool.

Overall I am sad this series is over, I took my time reading about each sister and I am sad it’s over. I love series of books. I would definitely recommend all the books to anyone who like romance and is looking to get to know each sister individually.

Give a Little by Kate Perry
Book #7: The Summerhill Series
Source: Author and Purchase
My Rating: 5/5 stars
My Review:

Beatrice Summerhill has proven time and time again that world domination is not out of her grasp. She relies on her gut to guide her in all things business related, she relies on her assistant, Inga to fill in any blanks she may have missed (as if!) and, she takes what she wants with cold and calculating determination. She is beautiful, she is exceedingly smart, she is tremendously successful, she is fiercely loyal to those she loves and, she is desperately lonely. Thanks to her father, the late Reginald Summerhill, Beatrice has spent her life avoiding serious commitments that may lead her to believe she needs – or worse! – wants a man’s approval. To Bea, men have long been toys that can be played with and then discarded, objects of desire to be sure but never, ever something she needs nor an impediment to her goal of achieving world domination.

Luca Fiorelli is everything a woman could possibly want. He is a sexy and successful Italian racecar driver, he is world famous, he is polite and sincere and, he is secretly one half of a motor company that is on the verge of revolutionizing the car industry. Luca can have any woman he wants and from the moment he met her, he has wanted Beatrice Summerhill and no other. Luca is fascinated by Bea and loves every aspect of her personality, even the surly and stubborn bits. In real life she is calm, cool, collected and, seemingly uninterested in what Luca has to offer. In bed, she is uninhibited, stunning, sexy and, seemingly very interested in what Luca has to offer. All Luca has to do is convince Bea that her real life personality and her in bed personality can peacefully coexist and neither has to give up anything in order to be with him on a long-term basis.

Luca rocks Bea’s world to her very foundation and that is at once thrilling and terrifying. Needing Luca and wanting him are two very different things: Bea’s real life persona certainly doesn’t want to need him and her in bed persona certainly wants and needs him. Bea can find no way to reconcile her wants and desires so she constantly pushes Luca away with both her words and her actions. Little does Bea know, Luca is willing to play the long game in order to win her over and he has the perfect plan in place to achieve his goal. Bea has no idea how Luca is involved with the car company she is looking to invest in but she does know he has access to the men she needs to meet with. She need only spend one, work-free week with Luca and he will make the proper introductions. Though being away from work and at Luca’s disposal for a week is a near-crippling thought, Bea’s intense desire to always win and always be successful outweighs her fear and so, she packs her bags and heads to Italy.

With just a week to convince Bea of the truth of his feelings and intentions, Luca sets out to thoroughly and completely seduce Bea. In the moments when she lets herself go and pries herself away from her damn mobile phone, Luca is able to work his magic. Bea truly enjoys Luca’s company and she certainly enjoys their sexual exploits but her fear of ceding control is still quite overwhelming. Much of their week together is beautiful and fun but in the moments when Bea lets the fear overwhelm her, she is cruel and heartless and on the verge of throwing away a true and proper happily ever after with a man who so clearly adores her.

The Bottom Line: Over the course of this series I have prepared myself for Beatrice and her story, I have like Bea and looked forward to her story. I can honestly say, I wasn’t at all prepared for this story!! Bea isn’t just calm, cool and collected, she is also paralyzed by her fear, a raging bitch and, until the very end someone I completely disliked. OK, your daddy sucked and did a number on you but at some point, you have to make the conscience decision to either give up completely or get over it and take a stab at real happiness. Up until the very end, I had serious doubts about Bea’s ability to pull her head out of her ass and found myself wanting to reach into the book and choke the bitch right out of her. On the flip side is Luca, sweet, endearing, sexy and lovable, Luca. My affection for Luca has never wavered and yet again, he proved himself to be a true and wonderful man. His patience, his kindness and, his willingness to give Bea everything (seriously, what that man is willing to give up is stunning!) is simply endearing and from the moment I met him, I have rooted for him. With his sexy accent, his keen intelligence and, his ability to deal with the prickliest of the Summerhill sisters, Luca really is all any woman could possibly want. To see Luca finally get what he desires most is tremendously satisfying and a fine end to a series I have come to absolutely adore. Though I am sad to see the Summerhill series come to an end, I am glad each sister got her own book, each sister got her own HEA and, the series ended while still being strong and fresh and nowhere close to being played out and/or boring. Kate Perry has created a truly fantastic family in the Summerhills and I find myself thinking now that it’s over, it may be the perfect time to start again from the beginning 

IT FEELS LIKE GIVE A LITTLE has been a long time coming. The seventh and final book in Kate Perry’s ‘Summerhill’ series, dealing with a fractured family who come together after the death of the Earl of Amberlin, it focuses on protagonists Beatrice Summerhill and Italian racing driver Luca Fiorelli.

Since the series began, Luca and Bea’s relationship has been simmering away in the background, a matter of great speculation among family and friends, alike.

The ‘will they?–won’t they?’-get-it-together question is answered in the opening paragraphs of Give a Little and it’s quickly made clear that Bea and Luca have hooked up. Bea, however, for reasons known only to herself, seemingly has absolutely no intention of pursuing a more enduring relationship with him. Luca has other ideas. Guess who’ll win?

Against the couple’s turbulent but humorous relationship, which involves them travelling from London to Italy and back again, there’s another relationship blossoming. Rowdy, great mate of Ian MacNiven, Bea’s sister’s beau, pursues his own less than straightforward affair with Jasmine, who, incidentally, is also the best friend of Finn, Viola’s new husband. It’s all very incestuous, but very entertaining, especially as this is what Perry does best. She creates worlds made of people whose lives continually cross, worlds in which the concept of ‘family’ is based on more than just blood lines.

Perhaps because Bea and Luca’s relationship seems somewhat inevitable, it’s Rowdy and Jasmine who take centre stage, in my opinion, and this is partly because Rowdy is an extremely empathetic character: funny, warm, poignant and attractive. His earthiness contrasts beautifully with the theatricality of Italian Luca.

All-in-all Give a Little is a fitting end to the ‘Summerhill’ series, tying up loose strands and also providing Perry with a vehicle through which to introduce her new series, ‘Fillmore & Greenwich’ – the link being Sebastian Tate, the new Earl of Amberlin.

I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of the Summerhill girls, but only time will tell…

I love this series, the Summerhill women, and their sexy men. Every. Last. One. Each sister is uniquely flawed yet perfect in her own way. But Bea has been my absolute favorite from the very beginning. She's the mistress of her own fate and such a strong, determined, caring woman who protects her family like a fierce warrior.

Kate has teased us through the entire series with the foreplay of Bea and Luca's skirmishes. That's given me lots of time to anticipate how these two dynamic people would become a couple. I knew without doubt their story would be epic, and I wasn't disappointed. Their story is cleverly and perfectly written. It shows the depth of Luca's love and how far he'll go to convince Bea to take a chance on them. It reveals the vulnerable side Bea has kept well hidden and her fear of opening her heart only to be rejected.

Give a Little is a fantastic tale of love and relationships between a woman and man and also an entire family, related and chosen. Reading it was bittersweet, knowing it would be the culmination of the series. But the heartwarming feeling it evokes can be recaptured at any time by revisiting this wonderful family. Something I'm sure I'll do many times.

Kudos to Kate Perry.

I totally love Kate Perry novels so much. She knows how to create such addicting series that no one reader can stop reading the series. Kate Perry has finally wrote about Beatrice and Luca love story. All reader have been waiting for Beatrice and Luca story that it did not disappoint at all. All reader will love how hot Beatrice and Luca chemistry are because they will burn the pages as you read through their story. Beatrice is the oldest sibling in Summerhill that she had big responsibility in her family. She has always been known to take care of her family. She never depend on anymore because she never wanted to disappoint her father. I definitely love when I get to see the valuable side of Beatrice that I finally get to know more about her. She fears of losing her independence if she depends on someone. However, there is one man who will totally move heaven and earth for Beatrice, which is the sexy and sinful Italian Luca. Luca has always known his feeling for Beatrice but it is a hard struggle to convince Beatrice about his strong love for her. However, I definitely know that Luca is a determined men that he is the one for Beatrice. Kate Perry has created another bestseller! *Five Star*

Save the best for last is the way to go. I immediately fell in love with Kate's stories when I started reading the Laurel Heights series but The Summerhill series is divine. It's a perfect ending to finish with Bea, the sister who suffered the most because of Reginald. The most successful sister, the true glue of the family and she deserves the best, Luca, the only alpha male who could win the heart of an alpha female such as Bea. Kate has me hooked on her books I love her series and excited that this series has a spin off. Maybe the Summerhiil sisters will have cameos in this new series. Kate is the only author that is on my auto purchase list. It kills me to say anything negative about her books but I hope she listens to her readers and stops mentioning herself in her stories, it pulls me right out of the lovely fantasy world she has created. I know you think it's funny Kate, but stop it. Thank you for creating such strong sexy female characters.

This book, the last in the Summerhill series, wraps up the two stories I’ve been waiting to read through the entire series. First are Bea and Luca’s, which has been brewing from the beginning and finally came to a very satisfying conclusion.

The second is Rowdy’s story. His friendship with Viola and her daughter Chloe has built him up to be a very interesting character and am so glad he was able to find his HEA.

Perry just keeps creating new and interesting stories with characters I can’t help but care about and love. I’ve been reading Kate’s books for a couple of years now and when I finish one of her books I am always left with a feeling of contentment and excitement for life that comes from reading her books.

A fitting end to a fabulous series. Bea and Luca's story has been brewing since the first book but it was worth the wait till the end because this series was a great journey experiencing the lives and loves of all the Summerhill women. They all finally got what they deserved. Tedious as Beatrice was, only Luca could have had the patience and the heart to truly be who she needed in her life. I am sad this series has ended but I am really looking forward to the Filmore and Greenwich series which will be about the new Earl of Amberlin, the American (cousin to the Summerhils) Sebastian Tate.

Love Kate Perry books and the series regarding the Summerhill women has been fantastic. I'm a sucker when it comes to following the stories of a group of wonderful people from start to finish, so when it was Luca and Bea's story there was no question as to reading it.
From the moment Luca saw Bea, in the first book in the series I had to know where they would end up. A man in love has much patience as was proved by Luca until he broke and you know the old saying, you don't know what you had till its gone? Well that's when Bea realises her true feelings for Luca.

Ahhh Kate Perry thank you so much! Its like you just know when I need a great book to read! I couldn't wait to find out what happened with Bea and Luca's happy ending. I love Beas character so much. I want to be her when I grow up but I think Im actually older than her:( It takes a real man to tame Bea and an even stronger man to wear those awesome outfits!
Im so sad that the Summerhill series is over but Im so excited to read the next series that spins off with Sebastian.

Bring on the next book Kate!

Oh my. Kate did it again. So glad to finally see Beatrice get what she deserves and who put than Luca. And Rowdy.... Rugby player, motivator, polite man. And falling in love. The twists to get there were amazing. Favorite scene - Luca throwing the phone. I mean who hasn't felt like that.

Can't wait to see what comes next for Luca. And perhaps a future novella with Chloe's love story?!?!

Thank you Kate for entertaining me through your stories.

Kate Perry has yet to disappoint me, and just the other books in the Summerhill series, I couldn't put this down once I started reading. And what a fitting finale to the sisters journey to their happily ever after. What really caught and draw me in to the series is how the sisters support each other unconditionally. They made the series work.

Another can't put down story from Kate and what a great end to the Summerhills series. Feel like I can't say more with giving the story away, but I have pre-ordered the 1st book in the next series due in June 2015. Again Kate's signature of introducing the next main character in the current book works so we'll. There are so many more things we need to learn about Sebastian!

What a great end to the Summerhill Series! I just loved Bea and Luca's story it had been building for so long in the preceding novels. Rowdy's story also came to light which was just as crazy as Rowdy himself. Lots of little doors closed in this one being the end of the Summerhill series and a new door has opened for What A Girl Wants!

I'm so sad that this is the last in the Summerhill series, because I love reading about the sisters so much. Maybe there will be a book about Chloe, so there is hope. Luca and Bea story was lovely and so was Rowdy and Jasmine. I'm just sad thinking that is ending.
