Well the last book continued like the others. How can a book end with everything up in the air and the series be concluded? I had to carry on with this series to see if it got any better and sadly it didn't.
Also, this book ends at 68% so 32% of the book is filled with promos. Maybe if that 32% was packed with a proper ending it may have got a better review.
This is just my opinion though, it may be better for you.
What the heck did I just read? Ugh. Supremely disappointed how this series ended. What a confusing mess of WTF and I'm scratching my head at all the 5-star reviews. What a waste.
I really want my .99 cents back and the time I spent reading this series. I was intrigued by the first two books but this ending was beyond confusing and disappointing. Wow!
These books are so confusing and most of the time, you're reading and rereading trying to find a story that just isn't there. You think you are starting to figure it out then it changes again into another confusing direction. I did not like them at all. I kept reading thinking a point was going to be made at some point and it never comes. The last book ends abruptly leaving you just as lost as you were when you first started reading them. There are more questions and absolutely no answers. Terrible books! Don't waste your time or your money.
Seriously!! This book ended at 68% on my Kindle. And when I say it ended, I mean that literally. IT JUST FREAKIN ENDS! I'm in the middle of reading a paragraph, at the end of a chapter. A chapter that doesn't seem complete mind you, because there are still a LOT of unanswered questions. And did I mention its only at like 68%, so I was thinking WTH. But that's it! Now I know why the reviewers who said it ended were annoyed. Cause I'm feeling your pain too. It just ends....again...WTHHH!!
Okay, so Evie is still pretty annoying and weak in this final installment. Eugenie----yeah I have no idea what to say about her. Her part of this story served no point whatsoever that I can tell. A couple of secrets are revealed, but they really play no part of the story. Then one of the guys is told to go leaving Evie with the other one. I won't spoil who stays in case you read it, but honestly neither are good choices. But hey, Evie is not a prize either. I tried to pick a favorite between Grant and Tyler and couldn't. So good luck with that cause the secret of one of them being good and one bad - yeah, you'll never know that answer as to which is which.
To me, these were not likeable characters. They were not memorable characters. These are not books I will read again or recommend. But hey, you may like them. Read other reviews in fairness to the books. This is just my opinion. These three tiny installments could have easily been one book instead of the very short stories we were given. Because they were so short, you didn't even have time to get into the story before it's over. This review actually deserves only one star, but I'll leave two since that was my first reaction. I wanted to like this serial, but it just wasn't for me.
This author is officially banned from my Kindle/bookshelf. I consider Cooper a Kindle troll. If I could give this book a negative amount of stars, I would. The book stops at around 68% on Kindle and there's no conclusion. After 68% is her promoting her other books as if you were so thrilled about completing this awful series that you'd want to risk reading yet another horrendous book of hers. Maybe there's no conclusion because even Cooper couldn't stand what she wrote so she just stopped and released it. Due to the abrupt ending, I had to triple check to see if there was a part 4 to this series and there isn't. It's not a romantic ending, and because this whole series was a big riddle the sex scenes weren't hot because I was too busy trying to figure out wtf was going on. I was already not feeling this series at part 2, but the train wreck was so bad I could not look away, was curious as to how this would end, and was HOPING it would get better (but sadly it didn't). This series is a big mind fuck. It's creepy. It's rushed. It's not romantic. It leaves way more questions than answers. Not one character is likable. Want to know how everything connects? Too bad, you'll get a vague explanation or none at all. Evie is beyond dumb... I don't know how many red flags were thrown up or how many warnings she received and she still stayed around.
***SPOILER for the end of the book just to tell you how inconclusive this series is***
She was warned quite a few times by Eugenia and once again by some lady at a fruit stand about her fate if she doesn't leave. Even when things start to happen that these 2 warned her about she ignores them until it's too late. Even Tyler and Grant warned her a few times, but she ignores. The ending is basically Tyler giving her a ring, a watch, and a journal that he insists she must write in. Same warning Eugenia gave her about the journal, but she is "too happy" about his commitment to her to notice this. He then has her drinking some water by the bed that the lady at the fruit stand said was drugged. She starts hearing the tick tock that crazy ass Eugenia said she would hear once it's too late from the watch Tyler gave her. Her movements become sluggish. Tyler comes up behind her and tells her she can never leave the house now that she knows all of his secrets. The End. Yep, that's it. Not even an epilogue.
I will delete all 3 books from my Kindle and never again will I read anything by Helen or JS Cooper.
I'm really sorry, I really wanted to love this series. I really thought more books were coming even after I finished book 3, I didn't realize that was the end of the series. There wasn't a conclusion at the end of book 3, which is the final book and there's still so many unanswered questions. I really do love books JS Cooper writes but this series will leave you going 'What the hell is happening?' the entire series. My head kept spinning and to find out that was the end was a huge disappointment. I'm sorry the author is rather upset with negative reviews but I really can't rate this any higher. I will continue reading books by JS Cooper and hope she keeps giving sufficient endings to her books as she has in the past in books I've read by her. I just felt like this was one big mind fuck where nothing made sense even at the end!!! I am allowed to have my opinion just like other readers and this series is one I just cannot recommend.
I received an advance review copy from the author for a honest review.
:( barely 3 stars for me
The ending... That's it?? When I finished I had to go online to confirm that that was indeed the end of this series. I am left with so many questions!!!! How can this be considered an ending when so many things haven't been explained? I feel that the series isn't complete. And the ending was just a WTF and not an OMG.
Riddles... This entire book is filled with them. I didn't care for this. I wanted more story and more explanations for things. This book should have been wrapping things up and not continuing with the mind games. And how would the lady at the Farmer's Market even know anything?? That was random. The club... that seemed random as well. The threesomes... that didn't make sense. Did Tyler particpate or not? What was his role in Grant's game? Who is Abelita??? What was up with the field? The Prince Charming parts didn't fit.
Evie... This girl is so delusional. I ended up not liking her at all. She's so weak. It didn't make sense why she would want to stay and be around crazy.
So the game... Is it just on rewind now?
Not a romance book, but more of a psychological thriller.
I was provided an ARC by the author Helen Cooper for an honest review. First I just want to say OMG! Everything you thought you knew from the first 2 books, throw out the window. Which doesn't mean this all doesn't fit together, it does and only the amazing imagination of Helen Cooper ties it all together in a bow. I read this and felt anxious all through the story, because I wasn't sure what to believe or know. As this book is written all from Evie's perspective, Helen Cooper easily puts her doubts, feelings and trepidations right there and you feel it with her. A page turner you won't want to put it down until you are done. Then, if your like me you'll be sitting there with your mouth open, amazed by what you read. It also doesn't leave you all happy inside. If you are looking for that nice and pretty happy ending you won't find it here, which isn't a bad thing. Everyone needs to walk on the dark side and Helen Cooper is definitely taking you there. An amazing ending to a very provocative series.
I am so disappointed....I got up early this A.M. so I could read it before the kids got up and I needed to get ready for work. I cannot believe all of the 5 star comments I am seeing. I never leave reviews, but I am so irritated at how this ends I am compelled to share my complete disappointment at the ending. Not only does it end at 68%, but it is ridiculous to say that everything is all wrapped up and neat and tidy. It was the opposite of that completely. Love this author and she can write a real page turner, which this totally was...but when I devour a book like I did these, I expect a better payoff at the end....this could have easily ended in 2 books. 2 stars, one each for Parts 1 and 2 which I loved, but likely wouldn't have invested in knowing what I know now.
This series is so bizarre, just when you begin to think that this will be like the same as every other ... It isn't! Oh boi! Oh boi! what a book.. Strange, dark, erotic, fantasy and ... (One other word that I don't want to say that will give the book away) If you are looking for your happy ever after then you won't be disappointed... Or will you? There are twists and turns everywhere, one thing that the book isn't is straight forward. You definitely need to read all three in a row to really get sucked in. It is scarily cryptic and ... Definitely puts a whole different meaning to "little girl fairytales"
OMG. What an ending. This book is full of surprises. It keeps you still wanting more even though this is the last book. I'm sad the story has ended. If your looking for a book to keep you guessing. This is the perfect book. You will definitely not be disappoint, you will be left wanting more. HELEN COOPER YOUR AWESOME!!!!
This book had a lot of potential but fell a bit short of what I was expecting. This short series of books had cliff hanger endings that made you want to read the next book but the build up to that cliff hanger was very exponential. The beginning of the book seemed to drag a bit. The tension from the cliff hanger from the previous book tapered off rather quickly, which left the plot in the middle of the book a bit slow paced. As the book neared its end, it picked up a bit and left readers with another cliff hanger to encourage reading the next book. This book would have almost been a DNF, but I wanted to keep reading to see if the book would go anywhere. The details in the book became muddled and confusing as the series went on. I might have been confusing myself, but the way Cooper described certain things, I found it hard to distinguish which characters the details belonged to. Although the plot was rather suspenseful, I was left disappointed with the ending, or rather confused, almost as if there were loose ends that weren't taken care of with no following book to wrap them all up. It made me stumble, especially because the book ended a little more than halfway through (I read on a kindle) and the remainder of the book contained ads and promos so it left me really scratching my head.
I also could not say much about the characters and their developments. I found the characters to be a bit flat and felt they did not change much through the course of the series. Their actions and dialogue did not bring much to enhance the character and I found myself not particularly caring for any of the characters or what was happening next.
Overall, not my favorite book to read, but holds that suspenseful, mysterious aura.
I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.
O.M.G. I just finished reading this book, and I love it, love the characters, and love how the book turned out to be, I'm gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.
This is the third and final installment in the series, and let me just say that once you read it you will love it, in this book we finally get to know what really is going on between Grant and Tyler, and who they really are.
The story picks up right where the second book end it, with Evei being hiding in the closet and finding out that Eugenia is really not dead. And Eugenia trying to give her little clue of about what would happen next, but Evei is not listening to her at all, she is paying attention to what her body wants, would she ever find out the truth, will she finally be free.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, I love the twists and games that this series have, Author Helen Cooper THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING CHARACTERS AND THIS AWESOME BOOK love it.
Hate giving bad reviews but with this series there is no way to praise the book.
1St and 2nd book were bad but persevered hoping it would improve.... wish I never bothered.
Basic story was ok, but fell very flat. Didn't really like the characters, story so confused and series left up in the air ( but to be fair I don't think I could of tolerated any more )
She wanted to leave but never did, she wanted grant then Tyler.... oh come on. I've never hated a heroine more than I hated her. Luckily the 3 books were short but still hours of my life I won't get back. And I just really don't understand such high ratings on these 3 books. The book finished at 68% and just left up in the air. No proper ending. She's locked in his bedroom trying to get out, just gets told she's never leaving and that's how it ends. I know us girls like romance but is that the kind of romance we really want..... NO
Honestly don't waste your time on this series, much better books out there to read
Like a balloon losing it's helium, part 3 totally fell flat.
Unique concept for a story, with great buildup from books 1 and 2 of the series. Then part 3. Oh how it sucked.
First of all, what the hell kinda rushed, half ass ending was that!? Such wasted potential. Totally unsatisfied with the minute summary of the story. So much suspense the entire book, so many questions needed more detailed answers. Secondly, the already short read ends at 66% in part 3. I mean, damn, we already know the book is gonna be short and then you end it so early and give us more details of other reads than you did of the book we actually paid to read! Ok, maybe not more, but damn close.
I have really enjoyed some if the author's other works, but this one just left me feeling cheated.
WOW....WHAT A CONCLUSION!!!! THIS IS SO NEW AND DIFFERENT FROM HELEN COOPER.....YOU GET A COUPLE WTF'S AND A FEW OMG....DIDNT EVEN THINK THAT WAS WHERE SHE WAS GOING WITH THIS. POOR EVIE IS TRYING TO DECIDE WHO IS THE BAD ONE AND WHO IS THE GOOD ONE BETWEEN GRANT AND TYLER. SHE'S SO CONFUSED. AND THEY BOTH ACT A LITTLE PSYCHO SO WHO CAN BLAME THE POOR GIRL. LOTS OF MYSTERY IN THIS CONCLUSION OF THE ALPHA BILLIONAIRE SERIES.......A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!! LOTS OF HEAT AND "ALPHA" HOTNESS
Read the whole series in less than 2hrs... MINDFUCK..!! Omg.. i was so confused and omg Hailey... Seriously HAILEY betrayed her.. GOD!! Good one but i don't like to be confused sorry 3 stars are more than enough..
Still not making since it ends with Tyler saying she is his and can;t leave. But still no idea the game?? Or what will become of Evie. I don't like books that doesn't end with a HEA. Or any idea WTF is going on. WIll she ever be free? Is Eugenie alive or dead?
Not a bleeding clue what was going on there - apart from all the surface stuff which was obvious... am really not sure what the author intended with these tales, which is as shame as this really could've been intriguing, but it wasn't...
