A boy is found near death at an elite Devon boarding school. The headmaster suspects foul play — but can't trust anyone on his staff.
Enter Angus Darrow, ex-detective turned private investigator, and his partner Charlotte Lockwood, a cybersecurity genius who's always wanted to teach. Going undercover as teachers, they must navigate classroom chaos, staffroom politics, and a conspiracy far darker than anything they expected.
Perfect for fans of British crime fiction with heart and humour.
Angus and Charlotte at their very best, as the series goes on they seem to get better and better. Lovely to see Kaylee involved and to know that we will be seeing her in the future. I couldn't stop reading this book, in fact I finished it in two sittings and I think it's the best book so far.
I enjoy these books because they take place in the part of Devon where I live. They are short reads and although a little bit silly, I do enjoy them and like the characters very much.
Storylines feel relevant and well described and empathetic main characters with unusual twists and thankfully not too many murders - cosy crime well written
