Many of the adventures of my friend, Mr Sherlock Holmes the consulting detective, in which I was privileged to assist him, I have recorded elsewhere. There were however, a number of instances when, sometimes for reasons of his own which I could not fathom, he expressly forbade me to forward others for publication. Recently, perhaps as a result of the effect on him of the passing of our dear Queen, he has become less stringent and relented on some of his previous prohibitions. I am therefore now able to relate the details of the following enquiries to the public. John H. Watson. 1901. The Adventure of the African Prospector The Adventure of the Cheerful Prisoner The Adventure of the Doubtful Conviction The Adventure of the Invisible Weapon The Adventure of the Substitute Murder The Adventure of the Unknown Traitor The Adventure of the Serpent's Head
I liked these depiction of Sherlock Holmes in these stories, I had not ever thought Holmes imbibed in alcoholic drink quite as much as this author writes, though it was known he used a 7% solution. Narrator does a good job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.
Love to have a book where I can sit down and read a story in about an hours time. These are great tales. In one hours you get a mystery an adventure and it’s Sherlock Holmes.
