No One to Bury
A gripping literary thriller for fans of Tana French, Gillian Flynn, and Linwood Barclay

When Charlotte Whittaker boards a tourist bus in Egypt, it’s meant to be the highlight of a once-in-a-lifetime anniversary trip.
Danny Whittaker should have been on that bus. Instead, he’s stuck in a hotel bathroom with food poisoning when the worst happens—a horrific crash in the desert kills everyone on board, including his wife.

Grieving and alone in a foreign country, Danny does what he must to bring Charlotte home.
But something doesn’t sit right.
Her wedding ring turns up on the wrong hand.
The body they ask him to identify isn't hers.

Everyone says it was a tragic accident.
He wants to believe them. He needs to.
But the deeper he digs, the more he starts to wonder...

What if it wasn’t an accident?
What if she’s still out there?
And what if the truth is something far worse?

Taut, devastating, and full of quiet fury, No One to Bury is a haunting story of love, loss—and the impossible lengths we go to when we refuse to let go.

PRAISE FOR NICK

'Grabs the reader from the very first page - and never lets go' DAILY MAIL

'A brilliant storyteller' SARAH PINBOROUGH

'I was hooked on Step Inside My Soul from the first page. An intelligent story, cleverly written, and with a cast of well-drawn and complex characters. This gripping psychological thriller drips with quiet menace on every page and builds to a satisfyingly shocking conclusion. Absolutely brilliant!' Russ Thomas

'Not just a ruthlessly compelling novel of suspense but an unflinching examination of the repercussions of a crime. Disturbing, harrowing and moving, it signals the arrival of a new master of crime fiction.' Ramsey Campbell

'Throws out a great hook and then twists and turns its way to a heartstopping climax' Stephen Gallagher

'If you're looking for a dark, disturbing and ultimately devastating read set in the depths of Northumberland then this is the one. Though if you're a writer you might want to read it with the lights on and a house full of friends' Trevor Wood

'Taut, compelling, original. An emotionally charged story that will leave you thinking of the main character long after finishing the book. A true page-turner' Julie-Ann Corrigan

'Curran's debut is an absorbing, dark and suspenseful thriller. He is a writer to watch' David Fennell

'Taut and properly disturbing. . . Impressive' The Critic

'Oh boy, this is going to keep you up at night, or abandoning everything else to race through the pages' Peterborough Telegraph

"A beautifully written, twisty race against time in which a husband tries to find the woman he married and instead discovers that he never even knew her name. This book asks if we can ever really know anyone, and demands to know what you would sacrifice for someone you only thought you knew." Bryony Pearce

Some spelling and tense errors but otherwise this was an enthralling read that kept me hooked to the point I couldn't put it down. I'd not even considered Stornamen as the kidnapper, nor for that matter that he was the abused spouse, this is the alternative to domestic violence I've been looking for.

I'm pleased Charlie, Olly and Danny survived but I'd like to have know if the British Consulate had any idea that Stornamen, Sonny and Hossam were not only dead but where they were.

A very good plot, really enjoyed it. However, I wish this had been proof read. The grammatical errors (and there are quite a few) drove me crazy! Not sure if it is because I read a kindle version or not.
