“You’re going to learn exactly what it means to be Daddy’s little girl.” “You almost make that sound like a threat.” “Not a threat. A promise. One I have every intention of keeping for the rest of my life.”
I was going to be a doctor. The greatest surgeon the world had ever seen.
Until my world comes crashing down around me. Again.
Caught in the clutches of the illness that almost took my life once before, I reach out for the only lifeline I can.
Daddy.
Now, I’m back where he says I belong. In his bed, begging for mercy as he reminds me over and over again exactly who he is. Who I am.
But even as I surrender to his commanding ways, those sinister voices in my head keep reminding me I’m unworthy. That I don’t deserve him.
And the more he tries to put me back together, the more I just want to beg him to Break Me, Daddy.
I had no idea what this series was about. Imagine my confusion when we have a group of Daddies and their girls, and an exclusive club just for them. It was *that* kind of book. I don't think anyone should follow my lead here, since I think you guys should start the books before this one to understand the history between these two people.
This is the story of a girl, Frankie, who had a medical emergency and had no one to call except her Daddy. Not her biological daddy, that one we don't care about. Her Daddy dom, Holden, who, from what I can infer, had chased after her around, but she wasn't interested before. See how you shouldn't just simply jump into the middle of a series book?
Anyhow, and here's the trigger warning, Frankie has an eating disorder. She was supposed to be this perfect daughter, perfect student, the happy-go-lucky friend, but shit (i.e. life) had caught up to her and everything went wrong, and she spiralled down to her bad habit. Thankfully, Holden was there to catch her when she fell, and this is the story of how she started to pick herself up again, all while falling in love with her daddy dom once more.
This is one of those books that I kinda wish focused more on the serious part, as in the eating disorder part. I can feel the potential in the air, especially with the ddlg relationship dynamic between our two main leads. Hell, I wish I had a daddy like him when I was going through my own psychotic break in university. In a way, this book is actually very triggering for me, despite me wanting it to be much heavier than it is. I am a masochist sometimes.
It was pretty spicy, despite the trigger stuff, so expect a lot of smut (as you should). But like I said, I want it a little heavy. And the whole spanking by the other daddy really left a bad taste in my mouth. I know that it's a safe space for all the participants but again, I want my daddy possessive af. This doesn't vibe with me.
Anyhoo, it could be so much better and I really do love Holden as a character. He's the star of this book really. The pillar that made me stay. I want him for my own.
Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2025 What a well-written, touching story! Be aware that it includes sensitive issues that may trigger some readers. The author researched the subject well and told the story with clarity. Many subtle moments throughout this book added complexity and depth to the storyline. The characters were rich, well-developed, and likable—well, most of them. Frankie and Holden had a difficult road ahead of them, but if only Frankie had an honest conversation with Holden, so much heartache could have been prevented.
I feel that Frankie’s insecurities were portrayed well, and in my opinion, her useless parents were the leading cause of her low self-esteem with their unattainable standards. When Frankie unleashed her bratty side, it was a joy, but then she would listen to her negative self-talk and it kept dragging her down. She was so damaged. So vulnerable. So brave.
When Frankie falls ill, the first person she calls for help is Holden. But will he respond, seeing she cuts him off and left him in a fit of temper? Holden does not hesitate and takes her back into his home again. Holden was the daddy Frankie needed. He was an encouraging, protective, and supportive daddy who aimed to nurse Frankie back to health, even if it meant using a firm hand.
This couple had to overcome many hurdles during their relationship, but with Holden’s persistence and love, they found their happy ever after. The secondary characters were colorful. The plot was interesting
This is a simply captivating read, characters and the scenario are wonderfully engaging Frankie has been struggling to be perfect even though there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with her, unfortunately this has left her feeling lacking and she knows that she is unable to face the truth and this has left her needing the advice and the acknowledgement of a trusted voice one that she has been able to rely on in the past. Frankie has put him through so much in the past and it is obvious that the pressure Holden was under despite all that he has been put through by her he still wants to go out of his way to do absolutely everything to help her, even if that involves him being her Daddy once again. I do not want to spoil this read for other readers but I assure you that you will love the interaction between the two characters Frankie and Holden and what they actually mean to each other. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
This is the latest standalone, HEA story from the author and it makes for such an emotional, absorbing read. If you've read some other stories by this author you may already be familiar with Holden and Frankie, but this is now their story (don't worry if you haven't read any previous, everything you need to know is covered in this book).
The book starts at such a low point for Frankie and the story really follows along with Frankie, as she tries to overcome her eating disorder, and Holden, as he navigates what it is to care for someone living with it. This author is sensitive of both her characters, but also for her readers, who may have their own challenges they are facing daily. I don't know if enjoyed is the correct term, but this story engrossed me from start to finish and I really felt like I got to know Holden and Frankie. However, the idea of therapy for both characters was mentioned throughout but was never actually done. I feel that this is a missed opportunity, particularly for Holden, as even Heroes need someone to talk to.
This is a super emotional story and even though I didn't have the same medical issues that Frankie did, I could total relate to some of her feelings of was she deserving. She's a sub that's a brat, one who puts pushes back before she'd open up. Her childhood had trained her in some of the worst ways, never asking for help and hiding all the things she considers flaws. She pushed Holden away but this Daddy isn't one to take no for an answer, so when she calls him in need, he jumps in to help her. Of course all his friends point out how much of a problem this could be. I loved to push and pull, the one step forward and two steps back because it felts so real. The spicy scenes, especially when Holden really let his dominance rule were so hawt. I loved when these two let go of their preconceived notions and truly communicated, because of course this led the the HEA we've all been hoping for.
This is the third book set in Club BDE (Big Daddy Energy). As the name implies, the books are both BDSM and a lot of DDlg (although not in an over-the-top sense).
Frankie is an overachiever who has fallen into hospitalization-level anorexia a few times now. The Daddy is Holden, who she dumped (for, duh, very shaky reasons), but now is relying on to reel her back in from a crash.
As with the other books in the series, the stories are FULL of emotional drama, as the couple works to sort themselves out and fight their way to a HEA.
The story is really engaging, Frankie's backstory is intense (and, well, maybe a bit overdone for believability), the sex and scenes are quite hot and do not overwhelm the story.
The deep relationship between Frankie and Lottie is really the emotional heart of the book, and, as with many BDSM Club novels, the community of Doms and Subs in the club form the structure that everything hangs on.
I loved this book and I love this series. This is book three in the Big Daddy Energy series. Frankie had been ignoring Holden since she dumped him. But now she's in trouble and her only thought is she needs her daddy. Holden is relieved Frankie called for him, but why now. Is he wanted for love or convenience. This is a wonderful story of pride and passion. Miss conceptions, miss interpretations, and assumptions. Frankie and Holden have a tangled past. Can they both get out of their own way to find the future they both crave. I love the chemistry between these characters. The interactions are crafted in beautiful detail. The supporting cast play a vital role in the story and the overarching plot plays along nicely. Previous story thread are continued and this world is expanding nicely. I loved this story and highly recommend it, the series, and author.
Break Me, Daddy is the 3rd book in the Big Daddy Energy series and could be read as a standalone in a pinch, but I strongly recommend reading the books in order as well as Lottie's story for all the background info. Heartbreaking, heartaching and heartwarming, Holden and Frankie's story is a brilliantly written homage to everyone struggling with expectations and not just surviving, but overcoming impossible odds to find a HEA. My heart really went out to them both! This is not an easy-to-read, light-hearted romance, but a brilliantly complex and uplifting one which had me feeling incredibly sad, frustrated and in tears at times, but in the end left me with a big smile on my face. Probably my favourite in the series so far and I can't wait for the next one. I was lucky to have received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
I absolutely loved this story! This isn’t just a story about a girl and a guy trying to figure out their relationship. It is so much more than that. This author touches on a real life subject and tells it in such a way that I couldn’t help but fall in love with Frankie. Frankie is a young woman who grew up with a not so nice family, yet somehow she develops into such an amazing woman. But there is a side to her that not many know about, and I just wanted to jump thru the pages and hug her. Holden is perfect for her, even if she doesn’t realize it. He loves and cares for her in such a way that made my heart melt. I enjoyed reading about both their journeys and rooted for them throughout. I loved their witty banter and their chemistry is so sizzling, my kindle almost caught on fire! This is a definite must read and I congratulate this author on creating such a heartfelt story.
Finally, we have a powerful story about Holden and Frankie that demands attention. It’s important to acknowledge that this book may contain triggers, so be sure to check for that before diving in. Personally, I believe these elements enhance the narrative significantly. Frankie has faced a difficult past, and although she left Holden, he doesn’t hesitate to step in and support her during a crisis. This story is incredibly engaging and hard to put down.
The love stories are masterfully intertwined, creating a compelling closeness and support among the characters that mirror a tight-knit family. The portrayal of Frankie's parents is strikingly accurate, highlighting their selfishness as they come perilously close to ruining her life—until Holden enters the picture and loves her wholeheartedly.
This is the third book in the Big Daddy Energy series and while it is technically a interconnected standalone it is definitely better read in order. Also, the very beginning of the story is told in a short story in the Daddy, Sir Anthology which is still available in KU. Read it first you won’t regret it. Anyway this story had me in an emotional chokehold from page one. I love Holden and Frankie so much. Holden is just the rock Frankie needs giving unconditional love. The way they both lean on their found family is just beautiful. It is rare that a book makes me cry but this one did. On top of all of that there was plenty of spicy steamy goodness. The end is an HEA for the main couple and the next book is set up beautifully. I cannot wait.
Frankie’s story is a very traumatic one and dealing with can it could be a trigger for many people. Please be sure to read the “Author’s Note” before committing to this story. When Frankie suffers a relapse with her illness the first and only person she thinks to call is Holden. Despite their recent separation she knows he is the rock, read Daddy, she needs now. How the two work through her illness and recovery is at times worrisome and at times very sweet, and of course being a Daddy/little story there is the sexiness of the kink. Ms. Moore treats the subject manner with honesty and integrity, and while some parts may be difficult to read/digest the overall book is very informative and entertaining. 5 Stars
I have been looking forward to Holden and Frankie and can say that it was everything I could have wanted. I felt for Frankie and all the things she had been through and how little she thought of her worth. Frankie was stronger than she realized and I loved that she was able to see it in the end. Holden was a good Daddy for her and I liked that he didn't just give up. I also loved that when he found out about her eating disorder he did what research he could so he was helpful. I had moments where I was crying because I was sad for the pain they were going through but in the end I loved their story. This will rate as one of my favorite Stella Moore books.
I read an ARC and am leaving my honest and voluntary review.
Frankie makes my heart hurt, for all she has to endure and how it takes its toll. She is a strong character and deserves so much more than impossible standards and expectations.
I love how Holden kept chasing her and refused to give up. That he was willing to take her on no matter what.
Exceptionally interesting and well researched. I found the subject matter to be fascinating and disturbing. The intellectual part of me found the balance of how the physical meshes with the erosion of self-esteem and how it affects the mental state captivating.
I really enjoyed this next book in the Big Daddy Energy series. Frankie NEEDS to be perfect. When she hits her rock bottom, she calls Holden for help. Holden did not know about her eating disorder, but he wants to help her recover as any good Daddy would. Frankie wants her Daddy's help, but she finds it difficult to go through recovery again.
I liked the way Holden was in Frankie's corner, even when Frankie didn't want him there. The interactions between them were wonderful to read. I also loved reading about Lottie and Frankie's relationship. The two are always there for each other, and it definitely came across to me. Everyone needs a Lottie in their life.
I feel, though this book can be a read alone, reading the first 2 books in this Big Daddy Energy series will set the story up better for readers. Though not always an easy read; with triggers, Stella Moore has displayed her usual skill in presenting them with clarity and care. Holden shows his willingness to help Frankie even though he is often struggling himself. With have all the hearts in this story, heartbreak, heartwarmth and HEA I so enjoyed it. This book will leave you with the full gambit of emotions but smiling at the end. Lovely story.
Finally, we get a full story from Holden and Frankie. Without going into much detail, just know that this book may have some triggers so you need to check that. It didn't bother me and instead, it really added to the storyline. Frankie has had a horrible past and even though she left Holden awhile back, he is called to help when she has a crisis. He doesn't hesitate and knows that she needs a Daddy in her life to help her out. The story is emotional, but so very good. I think this will be one of my favorite books by Ms. Moore.
Frankie left her daddy Holden one year ago because she felt she was broken and not good enough for him. Frankie was unloved by her wealthy society parents and took it out on her weight with binging counting calories . she found herself in danger and in hospital and of all she could call to get her she wanted her daddy Holden be took her home to his house because he was in love with her but before they could get their happy ending Frankie had to finally realize she is a good girl and so loved . read this story you won't be disappointed
The wait for this story is definitely worth it. Frankie appears in the first book in this series. She seems to have it all together but she does not. Holden wants her and will take her anyway he can. All the characters are well done. This story is an emotional roller-coaster. I needed lots of tissues as Holden taught Frankie love. There are plenty of hot erotic sexy scenes including some well deserved spankings. This is a well written, enjoyable and entertaining story.
Deep, honest and highly captivating, Break Me, Daddy is full of feeling. Dealing with some serious and heavy subjects, but written with finesse, flair and respect, this extremely well written, well built emotional page-turner was near impossible to put down. Angst, kink, chemistry, a solid plot and authentic characters you can’t help but get personally invested in makes this life-affirming, spicy romance take the prize in a series comprised entirely of great books.
Wonderful read, and hard to put down. The love stories were great with everybody so close and personal like a great family full of love and support. The portrayal of Frankie's parents was spot on in behavior such as those selfish bastards destroying a wonderful young woman, until Holden entered her life and loved her. Great story , thank you for writing it Stella Moore.
The pressure to be perfect! Poor Frankie! I know some of how she feels, but certainly did not face the challenges she has because of it!
Holden is everything patient! Despite everything Frankie puts him through; he wants to be there for her! His friends are uncertain as to why he's doing it.
What an amazing love story! Holden shows us what true love really means!
This emotional read really touched my heart. I absolutely loved Frankie and Holden. My heart ached viciously for Frankie, and I thought that Holden was an incredibly swoon worthy book boyfriend. While there are ample amounts of spice and kink, there is also plenty of heart and realism to create a powerfully moving romance that melts your heart.
This has its dark side simmering in the background but the main focus is on Frankie and her battle with Anorexia. There were so many scenes where my heart was breaking for Frankie. It broke for her Daddy too as he learns all he can to help her. Very emotional but also very informative. Her parents are the type you love to hate. Strike hate-too tame. Despicable? Detest? Yeah-that.
Such a warm hearted story I loved Frankie and Holden. My heart hurt for Frankie andxwhat she went throughni wanted to hug her and say talk to him he'll make it better. I loved Holden he was the perfect swoonworthy Daddy. Their chemistry was hot and the subjects were so well written I loved it.
Stella had me crying on a Sunday!!!!!! Balling like a dang baby about Frankie and Holden.
The wait for their story is so worth it. We already know that Frankie is going through a lot, but Holden once again steps up as her Daddy! This man is hardcore dedicated to her happiness and well-being. Just be prepared to have some seriously emotional moments.
