I read part one approximately two weeks ago and I had forgotten just how many POVs were in this story. I do not recommend there being an extended period of time in between reading one and two. Especially if you are someone who reads a significant amount of books.
I was entertained throughout the story but the characters (to be fully functioning, job holding, bill paying adults) really tap-danced on my last nerve throughout this story. They made some of the most obviously dumb decisions. Especially Adoria! I wanted to pluck her in her forehead and possibly knock some sense into her.
She literally had a conversation with her man about needing to be more open and honest and LITERALLY a handful of sentences later what does she do? Keep something important from her man and lie to him. With my whole chest I hope that he leaves her. Unfortunately, I won't know unless one of my book besties decides to read the third book.
This is another one of those times when I have realized that I have reached my stop on a series and will be bowing out gracefully. This isn't to discourage anyone else from continuing the series. If you like mess, drama, and ridiculous decisions that fuel the mess...you will likely love this!
