Put a finger down if you read several romance books in the 1980s. After each chapter, you are given a choice of which path to continue. Was I the only one who put a finger down? If you haven't read one, you’re missing out.
Black Card’s Choice is that book. But this time it’s an erotica story. Honestly, it’s so much fun. You get to choose how the story goes as if you are one of the main character.
As soon as I read It’s Your Choice, I jumped on the arc train to read this book so far I have read the book and picked a different path each time. I haven't even had the arc for 24 hours.
Black Card’s Choice is the prequel to Black Card Black. If you didn’t read Black Card Black, that is okay. However, I recommend that you do. Because you can never get enough of Woods, Levi, and Owen.
I might be a bit biased, but I absolutely love this side character who gave out the black card! Honestly, it's all about the name and age. Expect the pearls.
I will probably end up reading this story again. I’m definitely going to get the paperback. As I find them more enjoyable with you choose books.

A choose-your-own-path book that allows me to experience a variety of different scenarios within the BCB universe was something I didn't know I needed!
I've read Black Card Black and I have and will continue to tell everyone and their mother (although probably not the mother) to read it. And I've always wondered what I'd do if someone gave me a card with a phone number that could lead to a weekend of fun with these three men.
Now J.D. Midnight made that possible and honestly, it's all I wanted and more. It is fun and weird and hot and if I had to find one negative aspect its that I could easily have read complete novellas for each of the paths - not to be greedy or anything.
So far, I've made it through quite a few paths and I will SO be going back until I've read all possible storylines.

i truly couldn’t put this book down. This prequel is a choose your own smutty adventure and it gets HOT! i will definitely keep reading it over making different choices and i truly love the characters.
UPDATE i have reread all the endings and choices to be made… oh MY! you have out done yourself and it has been an absolute HONOR being an arc reader.

I’ve never read any of these “choose your own adventure” type books…but damn…I’m glad this was my first!
This was awesome! (Which isn’t surprising because…it’s J.D. Midnight after all!)
I loved how this was written and enjoyed the fact that we could go back and choose a different adventure after the first one ended! I definitely need more of these!!!!

This was such a fun read and so different for the smutty romance genre in the way that you get to be the one to decide what happens.
This is a choose-your-own-path book so as you’re reading, it will offer you two choices and whichever you pick will alter the story.
I really enjoyed this and genuinely had a great time reading and felt like I was kind of playing a game at the same time.

You knowwww eight months ago I read Black Card Black and in my review I (jokingly but not jokingly) said, “Give me the black card RIGHT. NOW. (Please).” And lo and behold…I somehow got my hands on Black Cards Choice before release. A moment of silence for my power please.
I used to love “choose your own adventure” books as a kid, so this scratched a nostalgic little itch I forgot I even had. Now mix that with good writing AND smut? Yeah, you don’t have to work too hard to impress me.
I’ve already gone back and made different choices a few times (Okay…I’ve made ALL the choices possible) and every single path felt thought out and consistent. No lazy writing. No “well if you picked this it just ends early.” Every option leads somewhere interesting and it actually makes you want to replay it a bunch of different ways.
One of my favorite parts was how many options there were. Not just one or two decisions and you’re done. You really get to steer the story based on what you want. And if you’re worried about dark themes, don’t stress. Want something twisted? You got it. Want something less intense but still spicy and engaging? It’s there too. There’s a little bit of everything depending on the choices you make. You’re not locked into anything super intense unless you choose it.
Overall I had so much fun with this. It’s the kind of book that makes you sit there afterwards debating if you should reread it immediately just to see what chaos you didn’t cause the first time.

All in all, a fun, dirty little read that lets you play out fantasies on page. I'm going to need more of this "choose your path" style of book with my erotica.

Black Card's Choice is a fun and immersive choose your own path book! This book acts as a prequel to Black Card Black, but reading Black Card Black first will give you the best reader experience when picking up Black Card's Choice!
This book has paths that are filthy, funny, one a bit terrifying, and many full of spice! I loved this little book! You already know that I had to read it multiple times through so I could experience every path. I just cannot get enough of the Black Card men 🤭
Getting to choose your own path is always fun, but getting to choose your own spicy path is even better!

I've been trying to type a review for this "experience" for half an hour. So this is a choose your own story...story. Literally at the end of the chapter you get to pick what happens next. Think of those old Goosebumps books (Oh no! The puppet you threw out is sitting on your bed, turn to page 67).
Let me say this, I wasn't shocked to find out that I'm a pervert, but I was a bit suprised that I will choose the option that gets to the biblical "knowing" as quickly as possible. Also the author obviously knows their audience very well because readers do not have to wait long to get to the goods.
I had read Black Card Black already and I do think it helps to already know the set up before jumping into this one, but there's enough information to make this a bangable time. 10/10

Of course the first time I had to go with the brat with an attitude and degradation route, but I did go back to the beginning and chose some other options too. All the options were well thought out and worked well together. Also technically everything worked well and it was easy to choose between choices, go back to the beginning, etc.
I can’t even remember the last time I read choose your own adventure story, probably as a kid/teen, but now I need more of these spicy ones.

Perfect for mood readers! There are so many options to satisfy any desire you may have. You also get to see what happens when you mess with each character. The book has humor, a little horror, and lots of spice. I loved these men from Black Card Black, and being able to choose your own path in their story and play the role of a Card recipient is so much fun! You could go back multiple times and take a slightly different path. I also loved how it tied it into the original book for the main ending. I really loved the random dead ends. It's just a fun read that puts all the control in your hands. Sweet, rough, bratty, innocent...all of it a spicy good time. Pass it on.

The nostalgia! I grew up with choose your own adventure books where you have to choose what happens next, flip to that page and you can live out multiple adventures within one book. I am pretty sure I still have more adventures waiting for me within. The choices were absolutely perfect and definitely allow you to explore different sides of yourself. If you have not read Black Card Black this book will still make sense but having the knowledge from that book will only enhance your experience.

I’m addicted. Mr. J.D.Midnight pretty please with a cherry on top bring back the guys for more. For real, they could sneeze and I would read it!
Also—kindred spirit??? The sprinkling of cynicism hit just right. While I felt like I was having my mind read and splayed out on the pages.

A spicy choose-your-own-adventure story? Count me in! I was already a huge fan of Black Card Black—hands down my favorite J.D. Midnight book—so I had high expectations going into this one, and it absolutely delivered. The interactive format is such a unique, thrilling experience, giving readers the power to steer the story and shape how it all unfolds. Every decision felt meaningful, and the transitions between choices were incredibly smooth, making the whole thing feel immersive and cohesive. No matter which path I picked, the story stayed engaging, sexy, and totally addictive. I had an absolute blast with this book!

I honestly don’t even know where to start. This was such a different experience and I loved it. Getting to pick different paths and actually choose where the story went made it so much fun. Both very different but also very spicy. It gave me a little bit of nostalgia too. I kept going back just to try all the different options and see what would happen next. I seriously enjoyed every bit of it. If you want something that feels different and keeps you hooked, I definitely recommend giving this a try.

What can I say other than I absolutely loved this book? It was so much fun! I can’t wait to reread it and chose the other options, I of course was bratty/slutty from the rip, it’s just how I like my books! What can a girl say. I loved that I had the option to manoeuvre through the story the way that was most fun to me while still enjoying the super fun world/characters the author built. I was extremely lucky to be on the ARC team for this but this review is 100% honest. I also bought my own second copy, I just love these Black Card books and I’ll eat it up every time.

Wow!I never read the pick your own adventure books as a kid but man am I glad adult me decided to give one a try. This story was absolutely addictive and super steamy. After the first read I just had to go back and read every single combination possible. Being able to pick exactly where I wanted the story to go was amazing and having the options to go back and do it all over again….priceless. Do your self a favor and scoop this one up ASAP! It’s going to be in my reread list for a long time.

**ARC REVIEW**
As someone who was a kid in the 90s, having J.D. turn one of his books into a "choose your own adventure" type, I was excited!
I have already done 2 different reads/choices, and I ate it all up. This was such a fun and amazing prequel for 'Black Card Black'! Picking and choosing what happened with three masked men and me? 1000/10

As someone who was a kid in the 90s, having J.D. turn one of his books into a "choose your own adventure" type, I was excited!
I have already done 2 different reads/choices, and I ate it all up. This was such a fun and amazing prequel for 'Black Card Black'! Picking and choosing what happened with three masked men and me? 1000/10

This twisted and sexy novella gives the reader the freedom to make their own choices. Have you wanted it rough and hard and mean? Or maybe you like it sweet, to be pampered and treated like a queen? J.D Midnight has it all for you in this book. I’ve read this book every which way I could and every time I experience something different but equally as thrilling. I definitely recommend this fun choose your own adventure style book to every one who wants needs more spice in their life ;)

This was such a fun and spicy twist to why choose! Not only did we get to see some of our favorite characters from Black Card Black, but you also also felt like you were really in the story since you were making all the choices! & trust me, no matter which path you choose, the journey is sure to be a hot one with these men 🥵

Never did I think I read a ‘pick-your-own-route’ smut book, but here I am and let me tell you this was definitely an experience that did not disappoint!
After I finished the first run through I went back and did a whole different choice. I mean, who doesn’t want to see what different outcomes can come about having an intense night with 3 masked men?! 🤗
Pretty sure I read every outcome possible. 🙌🏻

A Choose your own path in the Back Card Black universe had me in a choke hold. It was fun, exhilarating, and I was hot and bothered through this whole ordeal. Did I read EVERY scenario because I'm greedy little vixen? Yes, yes, I did.
It's your choice, go deal with the consequences. I promise you'll enjoy it.

This was my very first "choose your own path" type of book. And what in the Lord of The Rings quest was this!
I absolutely loved every minute of it. I took my own path and it was amazing of how the book came together afte eavh choice you made. It was a total mind-f*ck. But well-written.
They taped her to the wall, I won't say why. BUT YOU SHOULD READ THE BOOK. And the smut, dude JD you nailed it!!
You are here for a good time not a long time. Read Black Card Black beforehand.

Ugh I loved this! As soon as I saw this was a choose your own smutventure I knew I have to read it! Each MMC is so distinct and yet complementary to each other, the anonymous aspects really hike up the erotic aspects and I love that you can choose how you want it, want to be degraded ? Sure! Want to be pretty and worshipped? Also Sure! It’s short but plentiful and I’m now going to check out the OG source material 🌶️🌶️🌶️

This is an immersive, interactive choose your own adventure/path type of erotic romance. You are the main character. It’s the prequel to Black Card Black. Short story or can be full length if you go back and change your path. I don’t think I’ve ever read a dark romance book that does this. It was so much fun and exciting! I loved this so much!
