This meditation guide is valid for women and men equally
I borrowed this book thanks to my kindle unlimited subscription and I read it between my tablet and phone using the kindle app.
This book presents a guide toy that will help you improve your meditation skills by providing 30 examples to be made everyday during a while month. The book is simple, presents every meditation exercise with the objective, give instructions to the reader to accomplish the exercise and go on with the next one. Obviously this book can be checked quickly entirely but the best way to extract all the juice is to read one episode every day and practice each meditation exercise as the book explains.
The only thing that can be discussed with this book is the title. It clearly says that is a book for women but I think it all exercises can be made for men who are seeking to meditate too. A meditation for example, for digital detox, in the end, is valid equally for women and men.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book was very well written, with short easy to accomplish daily chapters with specific intentions and meditations. This short and simple format packs a big punch with a brief how to guide, description of what meditation is followed by 30 days worth of guided meditations. What I love about this book is that the chapters are titled plainly to allow you to pick and choose which meditation you want to do quickly and easily via the contents page. Another very thoughtful and helpful tip was when a meditation had a specific time to be practiced it was noted in advance; however, this only works if you are reading the chapters in consecutive order. I would recommend to the author to note the best time for these specific practices at the top of the meditation page for those picking and choosing their meditations. If I had a paper copy I’d definitely weight the notes in myself. Speaking of which there is a link to a journal which I did not look at. As a matter of fact this book would be best as an audiobook so that the meditation practice could be narrated and be more guided at the time of the practice, as it stands I had to read these chapter and try to remember what I read and do the practice the best I could off of memory which takes away from the relaxing meditation.
A Daily Meditations for Women is a peaceful, practical, and beautifully insightful guide. I took this book with me on holiday, hoping to dip my toes in and familiarise myself with it before starting a consistent meditation practice - and it did not disappoint. Alyssa Reynolds has put together a calming and thoughtful collection of daily practices, focused on themes like happiness, self-love, kindness, mindfulness, and self-acceptance. Each chapter is easy to digest, offering a manageable and meaningful practice for each day across 30 days.
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s so easy to overlook the importance of slowing down and reconnecting with ourselves. Even just reading this book felt like a reset. The writing style is gentle yet encouraging, making meditation feel truly accessible no matter where you are on your journey. I am genuinely looking forward to delving deeper into the practices and would love an audio version in the future as well. This book is a wonderful toolbox for building resilience and inner calm.
The introduction of this guidebook is a good one. You learn some of the when, where, how and why of meditation. I like that the author gave a brief exercise to familiarize the reader with the basics of meditation. I also like that the author didn’t spend too much time selling the books concept. That’s to say, there’s not filler here, just substance. The first meditation is an easy one. The instructions are easy to follow and it’s relaxing. The next meditation is body scan. The author describes the swell, and it is another easy meditation to do. This type of meditation will bring a sense of awareness to the body. I always found it useful for relieving tension in places in my body I did not know were tense. The concept behind the third exercise is a hard one to learn, but it’s very powerful once you master it. The author manages to put it in simple language, which I loved. The author manages to do this with many more meditations throughout the book. About anyone who owns this book will benefit from it. I highly recommend this book of mediations for everyone.
This is a beautifully written book offers 30 distinct meditations tailored to the diverse emotional situations women face daily. Each meditation is thoughtfully designed for a unique situation—whether you're seeking calm during chaos, clarity in decision-making, or simply a moment of self-connection. What sets this book apart is its flexible approach: readers are encouraged to explore each meditation in their own way, making the experience deeply personal and empowering. The meditations are refreshingly simple to follow, with clear guidance that doesn’t overwhelm. Whether you’re new to meditation or returning to it after a break, the practices are easy to carry out and fit seamlessly into daily life. There's just gentle guidance that invites reflection, breath, and presence. The tone is warm and nurturing, like a wise friend offering space to pause and reset. Whether used as a daily ritual or a resource to dip into when needed, this book is a quiet companion for women seeking balance, resilience, and inner peace. A truly enriching read.
I really like this book! Daily Meditations for Women is just what I needed to help me slow down and deal with all the day-to-day stress. Each day has a different theme, which I love—it keeps things interesting and makes me think about stuff I usually don’t take time for. I’ve done the first 10 days, but I couldn’t help myself… I skipped ahead and read the rest of the book too! I’m actually excited to go back and do the rest of the meditations properly now. The messages are short and easy to understand, but they still really hit home. It doesn’t take a lot of time, which is great because I’m always busy, but somehow it still makes a big difference in how I feel. Some days it helps me calm down, and other days it gives me a little boost of confidence. If you’re looking for something simple to help you feel a little better and more grounded each day, this is a great one to try. It’s not complicated or fancy—it just works. I’m glad I got it.
I took my time and tried each meditation. With practicing each exercise, I lost track of all the stressful non-essential thoughts that bogged my mind down all day, and I started to have more mental clarity and focus. I changed my focus from what I was thinking about to positioning my body with movements and breathing. There are a variety of different meditations depending on your needs. There are some for Healing, Peaceful Rest, Releasing Tension, Digital Detox, Embracing Change, and Letting Go. Each day, there is a new exercise to help you unwind. Most people say that they don't have time to meditate. Meditation doesn't need to take a long time. Just 5-10 minutes a day of YOU TIME can change the way you see things. After a few days, I just stopped worrying about things that I couldn't change. If you are stressed out with life in general, you need to buy this book. It is a lifesaver.
This little book is perfect for those who are interested in meditation. The book contains thirty different meditation practices. Each of the practices has a different intention, description and guidance and can be used as you feel best. The book explains meditation and the best way to start. The meditations are varied. The first is for tranquility and uses the image of the ocean to assist this. Other meditations include ones for anxiety and stress relief, focus, peaceful sleep, healing and positive energy, forgiveness and peace. My favourite meditations are for creativity using the image of a prism and rainbow, and another for kindness. There is also a bonus meditation journal. There is nothing complicated about these meditations. The meditations are deliberately simple and easy to follow. I enjoyed dipping into this selection and what is nice is that they do not take any prior experience with meditation or take much time.
Daily Meditations for Women: Inspiring Practices for Managing Each Day with Confidence and Calm by Alyssa Reynolds is a really great, little book with 30 different meditations, designed to focus on different targets – such as pain relief, calming the mind, letting go, peaceful sleep, acceptance, forgiveness, self-love, and many, many more. The idea being that you try a different one for 30 days, (by which time hopefully you will be more in a practice of daily meditation) and then continue with the ones that resonated most with you. Honestly, they only take 10 minutes or so each, but I found them to be very calming and restorative. The author guides those who may be new to meditation, in the different techniques. You don’t need to be really good at this before getting started – each guided practice is fully explained. I am going to continue with my practice as I find these have helped calm my monkey mind! A great book!
Such an amazing book with day by day meditations. This is a book that I will go through annually because I need to remind myself of the practices to be confident and calm. A great resource.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
