(my review talks about volume contents, but not direct detailed reveals of certain information )

This was OK. I liked the first half of this volume more than the last.

So we kick up where we left off and there’s a lot of fighting going on there was a lot of violence going on. And we get to see the crew of the AMO work together for the first time in that type of way. Obviously Amamiya has his moment…as he usually does. I’m gonna need some information more about him soon. And then we see some moments with Harold and Akira and why is Harold suspicious like that? Why did he do what he did? I don’t know if what he said in this volume is gonna become relevant but just like why?

And then we see some monologue with Sho, and you know what, I was feeling for him. And that eventually, we get the scenes of him and Akira. The scenes made me happy to see. No really, because I was waiting to see it happen and it did, and then afterwards their moment together. I liked also though, seeing the contemplation on Akira this time because Sho worded things differently than Amamiya. And I felt his confliction in his want to know why Sho did what he did. The thing is and I’ve said it before I’ll say it again Sho keeps trying to protect Akira and that means also from himself. Or more so to protect him from worrying about him. And I’m really enjoying seeing this happen and then they also have a scene where obviously Akira talks about something that he heard when he was in there. I like these moments where things get brought up regarding aliens or regarding the AMO, and I feel the tension in these scenes because they keep happening with Sho and Akira, where Akira tends to question why. I know that this is going to become a bigger part in the story because if it doesn’t, then I don’t know why it’s being repeated. They are starting to have moments together mutually where things aren’t adding up or where things feel weird and I like that. There aren’t significant ones happening yet, but I have a feeling they’re going to become bigger problems in the future. I’m not 100% sure where the author is taking that but I have thoughts. And ideas. As I tend to.

Also, regarding Akira now he has multiple problems or more so he has multiple people who are going to become his problem.
I am a bit..I don’t know exactly how to word this but I think I have a feeling on what is possibly going to happen. There’s just too many things being told to us as they are for it not too. I’m expecting layers of complexity and I don’t think we have all the information yet which it wouldn’t really make sense if we did. I’m waiting for the climatic scene of it being revealed and I know that it’s going to be multilayered because I have a feeling multiple things are gonna happen at once and it’s not gonna be just about him. I do hope that when it gets revealed exactly what is going on that I don’t hate it and that I’m not completely thinking in a direction that it’s not. But over the past few volumes specifically it just has me wondering about things.

Then the ending we started off with a new character being more elaborated in depth, and then we got left on a cliffhanger. I don’t know how much I really care. I do think it could be interesting, but I don’t know how much I’m going to love the conclusion of it or if the characterization of it could bother me, I don’t know. I feel like sometimes certain characters I don’t like very much but then when they get more time to develop, I don’t actually mind them. But yet again, I honestly don’t know.

I think something that I tend to not talk about very often is the world building itself. We have so many conversations about different planets and different types of aliens and different types of powers in the way that all these things socially, culturally, environmentally, politically, affect everyone. But I do like this kind of story where we learn about the world and the characters, and we show that through cases and missions and thats what moves the story. And honestly, I’m just waiting for things to hit the fan.

So I caught up to what is published and available to me. This is the first time in years I have binged a manga like this. It’s seriously been a minute for me to start a new series and binge read like this, but I feel like even though I don’t like every aspect of it I’m invested in the characters now and I’m invested in the plot and the bigger things that we don’t know yet and I wanna find out.

And with that, i’ll be back for volume 11 when I get to read it.

i wasn't totally convinced by the palate cleanser slice of life portion at first, but naoe fucking got me yet again. i mean really all they had to do was show me women with abs and i was a goner. kinda sad that i read this one so quickly cause now i have to wait for the next volume but!!! shouldn't be too long, and i'm interested to see where we go from here. the secret of akira's true form is coming closer and closer to the surface and i cannot wait for all the drama of that reveal. i'm also still hoping for sho and akira vs amamiya at some point cause he fully sees these kids as nothing more than tools for his own ends (which are....what exactly? yet another mystery to uncover) and i'll be a bit disappointed if he doesn't face some kind of consequence for that moral position, regardless of whatever tragic and complicated backstory or justification he may have

Acabamos el arco de la subasta!! Con Harold siendo tan misterioso y aun con la incertidumbre de que tendra Akira en su interior... y bueno Sho y Akira siendo tan novios un tomo mas, de verdad no se a que nivel van a llegar estos dos me tiene living🥹 y ahora nuevo arco con Mona Monaka!! A ver como sigue🫡
