My billionaire boss needed a fiancée. I needed cash. Neither of us planned for real feelings—or a baby.
Lucian Hastings is rude, rich, and infuriatingly hot. He’s my arrogant boss. My brother’s off-limits best friend. And the last man I should be fake engaged to.
He said it was just a deal. No strings. No feelings. For ten percent of his trust fund, I said yes. I thought I could handle him. Keep it business. I was dead wrong.
He starts doing things no fake fiancé should. Like rescuing me from viper exes. Saying nice things with his mouth—and naughty things with his eyes. Melting my resolve with late-night confessions… and one scorching-hot night I’ll never forget.
My heart races. My body aches. I fall for him. Hard.
If my brother finds out he’d lose it. Plus his ruthless aunt wants to destroy me.
I found myself smiling and even laughing out loud at times at the bantering Daphne and Lucian had. Daphne should have been a red head because she definitely has some feistiness to her and doesn’t back down easily. This was a really great book that I enjoyed reading all because the storyline is amazing. I did find the very beginning a bit sad when it came to Lucian and his parents. You will need to read the book to see what that is all about. Overall, this is a 10-star read with a fantastic ending.
The book starts with Lucian reliving the death of his parents in a nightmare. Be has remembered the horror for more than 20 years. He is guarded and remote with people. Daphne, sister of Lucian's best friend, has hated him for years. She is hired as his PA and slowly realizes that there is more to him than she thought A fake engagement to get his trust fund becomes real. They persevere through obstacles set up by his aunt to a HEA ending. I recommend the book.
Knocked Up by My Grumpy Boss by Sofia Carter was so good. I loved Daphne and Lucian from the start. They weren't meant to be together and you could feel it while reading their story. I felt so bad for Lucian losing his parents like he did. His aunt was awful and the things that she did to both Daphne and Lucian was awful. This is one book you will want to add to your kindle.
