When Alesta finds out she was pregnant with the crown prince’s child, she knew it would be a risk. Being fated mates in a world divided by race was dangerous enough. Lukyan would one day be king, but not with a werewolf by his side.
As Alesta is reeling with the news of motherhood, she’s also confronted with the reality of being a mere tribute in a Lycan kingdom. Her mate will soon be married to a noble woman approved by the council, and she will be hidden away, reduced to a secret mistress. Knowing this will endanger the life growing inside of her, she is left with no other option.
She has to run away.
On the night of his wedding, Lukyan returns to explain everything to the woman he loves, only to find her completely disappeared. It takes him seven years to find her again, and when he does, he has to come to terms with how much he really lost.
In a world full of secrets and deception, can the whispers of the moon guide Alesta back where she is meant to be?
My name is Chelsie. I'm an indie author living in SW Oklahoma. I started writing fantasy and contemporary romance in 2022.
I'm a mother to two. Wife to the most amazing man. If I'm not writing, I'm usually reading. Traveling and fitness are also hobbies I love.
I love to use my imaginary worlds to create yummy men (who all strangely remind me of my husband) and strong, resilient female characters who are not perfect, but grow into women fighting for their own happily ever after.
Maybe I'm about to go into that time of the month.............no, that can't be it, I'm always in "that time of the month". Hmmmmm... Three chapters in and DNF. With ONE conversation the whole book would have been finished. Like, maybe 5 sentences, tops, book over, happy ending, tada! No rating out of a sense of fairness. It's getting reallllll hard trying to encourage these young authors to put something good out there by not rating, but I'm gonna lose patience realll soon. And it's gonna be a blood bath of 1 ⭐️'s folks.
The best angst! If you are on the shelf get into it, absolutely loved this one, the only thing I wish happened was a little more build up between fmc and mmc before the fmc runs. But honestly I'm a sucker for redemption arcs with angst and betrayal, especially in the paranormal and sci-fi genres, so I ate this one up! Loved the character depth and side characters were super solid. I'm sad we don't get to move onto another couple in a sequel yet but hoping it's in the pipeline!!
